(Ash's POV)

Gunshots rang out, echoing between the tall buildings of the town, and as they did, a sharp pain pierced my side and my thigh. I collapsed, my blood spattering the smooth pavement below me. The once light cement was now stained with crimson.

For a few moments, I felt dizzy, and my vision began to fade. It went completely black for a few moments until I remembered.

The driving force that kept me going. The one thing that cared for me, the one that I wanted and needed.

"S-Summer!" I cried out, struggling to my feet before I called for her again, "Summer!"

Another gunshot split through the air, I was hit with another pain. This time, however, I didn't collapse. I didn't let myself.

I kept glancing around, calling her name, until finally I saw it. A collapsed figure on the ground. She was holding her stomach, and as I focused on her I could hear her sobbing.

It took me a few long moments to get to her, and in those moments, I felt six more sharp spasms of pain in my body. I collapsed beside her, tears escaping from my eyes.

"S.... Summer..." I weakly coughed.

Blood filled my mouth. I didn't care.

She turned to look up at me, her eyes widening a bit as she noticed the large amounts of blood that poured from my body.

"Ash!" She cried, "Y-You're.. You're hurt.."

I gave a little nod, "M-My.. My pain means nothing if you're hurt.." I managed to breathe out weakly.

She shook her head and attempted to sit up, but soon she fell back down as yet another gunshot was heard.

"Th-The... The.." She stuttered, a frantic look appearing in her eyes.

Then I realized. She'd been pregnant. They shot her stomach. Twice.

The baby couldn't be alive after that.

More tears appeared in my eyes, and I began to sob. Each short gasp between cries shook my body, forcing more agony upon me.

Soon, everything would be gone.

The love of my life.
My child.
My life.
And finally, so would I.
