So in an AU Where Hunter actually makes it to high school

(Hunter POV)

I sat in the normal desk that I sat in, with my head down on it to sleep and to zone everyone else out. It helped when I was the only one in there.

I slept for a while, but of course people began to file into the room and disturb my peace and quiet. Among them were two girls that caught my attention  and a guy named Daniel. He always had to sit next to me, and every day he'd torment me for something.

It was a lot worse on that day. He was horrible, and it got to the point where he even made a joke about my mom, who was at home suffering from my excuse of a father. It was what made me snap.

I started crying softly until one of the two girl's I'd already notice saw me. One of them, the larger one, went over and talked to my bully, demanding that he stop. He just made sexualized comments about her until the other girl showed up to aid her.

At that point I stopped paying attention and just quietly sunk down in my seat. Everyone in the room's eyes were fixed on either the two girls or me, and it made me more uncomfortable than I was at my house.

And the fact that the two were helping me was insane to me. It just.. It didn't feel right. Plus Daniel would think that I was the one who wanted them there. He'd make me suffer for it.. I wasn't surprised that he would. He knew where I lived, so that on top of my father's abuse, he could attack me away from home too.

I was grateful for help, but...

It was going to leave me dead in a ditch unless I dealt with my own problems.
