I really like not having character sheets beforehand and allowing the
characters being roleplayed to learn about each other more organically.
So there will be prompts but no character sheet layout requirements.

Also if you want a role play to be open for others to join in, say so beforehand.
Otherwise it will be dubbed a private roleplay that no one else is allowed to join.

If you do join an open roleplay, join with an entrance.
Ex:

A ghostly pale and lanky male steps into view from the dense surrounding fog.

An ecstatic squealing fangirl jumps (practically out of nowhere) and wraps their arms around him, squeezing him in a hug so tight that it severely limits his airflow.

You are allowed to roleplay as the prompt character (as long as it isn't edgeyfrisk)
Just make a note, and I'll default to role playing edgeyfrisk unless requested otherwise.

I will only roleplay characters that I'm familiar with. So if you request one that I'm unfamiliar with, I will either politely decline or study said character rigorously till I am familiar with them. Expect the first response, but be prepared for the second.

When choosing an cannon character to roleplay, try to choose one that fits with the setting. But if I'm already role playing as a setting character then you can role play a cross over character.

OC's are allowed as long as they aren't intolerably annoying. It takes a lot to get me annoyed, especially in roleplay. So it's not very likely that I will shun your OC.

Please use complete sentences.
I prefer present tense.
I'm less likely to (but I might still if I feel like it) respond to dialog only layouts like..

Character1: "my bootie hurts"

Character2: "then take off your jacket?"

Character1: "I said my bootie hurts."

Character2: "Oooh..I thought you said
something else..Your jacket was muffling you"

Except in the case where a character is texting someone.
But it has to be established that it's a texting conversation.
Ex:

Of course when she finally gets comfortable that's when she hears a ping from her phone. She tactically reaches through the mountain of blankets she's buried under to grab it off the nightstand. She clicks the notification which brings her to her messages, where she sees a text from her friend.

Friend: "my boobie hurts"
She snaps a whiny selfie to emphasize her point. She had been launched off her skateboard on her way to work and wanted to complain to someone about it.
Her poofy jacket just so happened to be too short to protect her rear end from the impact of slamming against the sidewalk.

Girl: "then take off your jacket"

Friend: "BOOTIE! I meant bootie!
Stupid Freaking Autocorrect!!!"
It took her a minute to realize the mistake.

Girl: "Lol"
She struggles to hold in a laugh, ultimately failing in the end.

Also, the characters being roleplayed don't have to be together the whole time.
They are allowed to part ways, but if they are away from one another too long in a private roleplay then the roleplay will probably end due to the lack of interaction.

Oh and you are permitted to continue off of unfinished roleplays I started with other people that have a chapter dedicated to just that roleplay. Even if someone else already is or I continue it with the original person.
