I hate connections before a (group) roleplay. Unless it relates to the story, I hate pre-planning a friendship or romantic relationship before I get to know a person's character and role playing style. I like to get know everyone's character first and develop chemistry instead of trying to force it. Because I've had many times where someone's asked to build a relationship with my character and they end up being the most boring role player or I simply don't like their character and I don't know how to tell them I'm not enjoying this 😬

What I do enjoy is planning scenes and interactions. It gives the excitement of waiting for the right moment to start and watching it unfold as you tell this story with other people. I love when people work together for good story telling.
