Filling Out the Form (Unpopular? Opinion)
One type of character form that really irks me are the ones where the character "talks" to you, i.e.
Name: "Wouldn't you like to know?" (Johnathan Appleseed)
Age: "A little old that you would ask me that"-18
Gender: "Um, isn't it obvious that I'm a guy?"
etc.
These annoy tf out of me. I know it's meant to give the reader a sense of personality for the character, and this something works. But when the character is getting mad at me simply for trying to learn about them, which is the entire point of a character sheet, I don't get want to get to know them anymore. I didn't come here to get cussed out for apparently "asking" for someone's gender. It also feels awkward is supposedly someone my oc is already supposed and I have to read shit like this.
Name: "You should already know that, ya goofball."
No, I don't??? That's why I'm here???
Obviously, this is just a personal thing, and people can do whatever they want with their form, I just find it kind of annoying. It's easy to overlook, though if the character sheet is still well-formed and thought out.
