Virat was shocked. Rest all frowned. Virat was visibly looking highly tensed.

Anu: Sab theek hai na? Why is Ro crying? Ritz and baby are fine right.

Virat: Doc.. doctor ko dikhaya? Kya bola unhone?

Sakshi: Doctor.. Cheeku kya hua hai?

All were panicking hearing about doctor. Mahi calmed them.

Mahi: Calm down guys.

Virat: Ro tell me please.

Rohit (crying): Vi.. please come back to me. Main.. mujse..

Virat: Ro.. Ro.. I am coming right away okay. You please calm down. I am coming. Main hoon na tere sath Haan. Aa raha hoon main.

Virat disconnected the call. He looked at others who were looking at him with tensed expression.

Virat: Rah.. Rah phir se unconscious ho gaya hai. Ro bahut ghabraya hua lag raha tha. Bhai mujhe.. mujhe Jana hai unn dono ke paas. Abhi ke abhi Jana hai mujhe.

Mahi: We all will go Cheeku. You please calm down okay. Main Jet ready karwa Raha hoon. Sakshi.. Anu tum dono packing kar lo. Cheeku.. Ro ko call Karo aur usse baat karo. Give him some motivation okay.

Rest all agreed and start doing their respective work.

They were ready to take off in an hour and a half or so and flied down to Mumbai. They went to SK Mansion directly. They ran towards Rahul's room and found doctor was checking him.

Virat: Ro..

Rohit ran to him and hugged him tightly. Virat was rubbing his back to calm him. Anu and Sakshi went to Ritz and hugged her to calm her who was crying silently. Mahi could not understand what he should do or say seeing everyone broken. RohiRat broke the hug and were looking at Rahul with tensed face. Mahi went to Rohit and put a comforting arm around his shoulder. Tears again fell from his eyes but he wiped them.

Dr Mehra: Virat.. Thank God you are back. Please come here and sit with this kid. Behoshi me bhi tumhara hi nam le Raha tha. He has got very high fever due to stress and fear. He was saying he doesn't want to be alone. Please you guys don't leave him alone. Otherwise we have to admit him to the hospital if this happens again.

Mahi: Lekin Rah theek to hai na Doc?

Dr Mehra: He is Mahi. Lekin he needs someone all the time with him. Do not allow him to stay alone until he is fully comfortable here. Maine medicines rakhi hai yaha side table pe, usko khane ke baad de Dena. He will be up in two hours or so.

Rest all nodded in yes and Dr Mehra went from there.

Rahul (mumbling): Vi Bhai..

Virat: Haan Rahuliya.. I am here only. Please calm down bachcha. Have some rest. I am here only.

Virat was feeling very guilty on his reckless behaviour seeing Rahul's health worsening in his absence but then he saw Rohit again went out from the room crying. His pain was no less. His own brother was looking for his elder brother's best friend and not for his elder brother. It was not a small thing. He knew that feeling. Virat himself was shedding silent tears. He looked at Mahi with see I was right look whereas Mahi sighed and shook his head still disagreeing to what Virat was thinking.

Virat got up but found Rahul frowned in his sleep. He could feel Virat's presence. Virat caressed his hair making him feel that his Vi Bhai was there with him. He made him Rahul hold his wrist watch instead of his hand and then carefully took off his watch which was still in Rahul's hold tricking him feel his presence. Virat got up and went from the room.

Mahi asked Sakshi and Anu to take Ritika to her room and made her have some rest. It's not good for her to be stressed out for longer time. Sakshi and Anu did the same. Mahi then went out of the room where RohiRat were standing. Basically Rohit was silently crying and Virat has held his Arm with his one hand and the other hand around Rohit's shoulder to support him.

Mahi: Ro..

Rohit looked at him and hugged him tightly crying. Mahi held him protectively.

Rohit: I was so scared.

Mahi: He will be fine Ro.. Please calm down.

Rohit broke the hug.

Rohit: How Bhai? how? He is my brother. Aur usko uske hi Ghar me comfortable nahi lagta. He is my brother lekin hamesha mujhe gairo ki nazaro se dekhta hai. He is my brother lekin he didn't even share with me that he was missing Vi. He was with me and Ritz Bhai and still he was feeling alone. What should I do? What can I do? Yeh to.. yeh to achchha hua ki main check karne aa gaya ki isne.. isne medicine Li ya nahi warna hume.. hume to pata hi nahi chalta ki hamara bachcha bukhar me farsh pe behosh pada hai. I feel so helpless Bhai.. I feel so helpless..

Mahi took him in the hug again. Rohit cried as past few hours were like hell to him. Mahi was constantly saying sweet nothings to Rohit. Rohit broke the hug after a while. He looked at Rahul longingly. Virat kept his hand on his shoulder.

Virat: Bahut Dar gaya tha na?

Rohit: Had se zyada

Virat: Go to him Ro. Hold his hand in yours and give yourself the assurance you needed the most right now. Your brother.. Your Chhotu is safe and better. Go be with him.

Rohit nodded in yes and went inside Rahul's room. He sat beside Rahul and caressed his hair. He took his hand in his hold and kissed it. Sakshi and Anu who have come after making Ritz sleep were shocked to see Rohit so broken. They had tears in their eyes too.

Virat just went to his room. Mahi, Sakshi and Anu followed him to his room. Virat went to balcony and started punching the punching bag harshly. Mahi went to him and hold his hand. Virat tried to take back but Mahi's grip was firmed and his eyes were showing his authority over his brother which Virat can never deny and he allowed his Mahi Bhai to lead him inside the room and made him sit on the bed. Mahi himself sat in front of him on the bed holding his Cheeku's hands.

Mahi was looking at Virat intently whereas Virat was just looking down at the other side. There was a pin drop silence until Mahi sighed quite heavily.

Mahi: Cheeku..

Virat: Mera faisla sahi hai bhai.

Mahi: No Cheeku.. samajne ki koshish Karo bachcha..

Virat: No Bhai.. aap samajo. Ro and Rah are real brothers. They are bound by blood. I am the barrier.

As soon as the words left his mouth, he got not so gentle whack from his very own Mahi Bhai.

Mahi (sternly and angrily): Dare you repeat this word again and I'll show you what a barrier means.

Virat visibly gulped down with Mahi's tone but he was adamant on his Decision. Mahi sighed.

Mahi: Cheeku.. don't overthink bachcha. Don't do this to yourself and most importantly with Ro and Rah. They both love you like anything and agar tum hi nahi rahoge to kaise chalega.

Virat: Mere rehne se bhi kaise chalega Bhai jab main hi..

He trailed off as tears fell from his eyes.

Mahi: Cheeku.. I know blood relations are thick very thick but the relations which are curated by our hearts are the thickest ones bachcha.  Cheeku samajne ki koshish Karo bachcha. Rah has just got his family but his parents are not with him. His  bhaiya bhabhi are there but he has always behaved cordial with them. How can he accept everything in just a day? You know how much you yourself need to work when you need to make him talk whatever going inside his mind. He is still a kid. You first kid. Your Rahuliya.. Your Moi. He needs you. He is closest with only you. He feels secure when you are around him. Aise me kya chhod doge tum use?

Virat shook his head in no.

Virat: Lekin..

Mahi: I have not finished yet.

Virat nodded in yes and kept mum.

Mahi: Ro jo itne saalo se apne Bhai ke liye tarsa hai usse ab Jake uska bhai mila hai. You know how much shy he is in initiation right. Adha time to sochne me hi chala jata hai uska ki kaise baat initiate kare. Cheeku.. Ro has suffered a lot. He is going to be a father soon and here he got his beloved younger sibling back. Ek sath itni khushiyan sambhalna asaan nahi hota. He got his brother lekin woh usse khul ke baat tak nahi kar pata. He wanted to shower his love over him lekin kaise karega jab usko pata hi nahi ki woh first step kaise le?

There was a silence for sometime.

Mahi: Cheeku.. it's you with Ro and Rah both are comfortable. It's you with whom Rah will be able to share his insecurities. It's you with whom Ro can share all his pain. It's you whom Rah needed when he gets scared. It's you whom Ro needed when he went all blank and couldn't understand what he should do. You were not able to support them and you recklessly took the decision of leaving them and see where they are right now. Rah is burning with fever and Ro is all blank in this situation alongwith all his painful memories haunting him. You are not The Barrier Cheeku.. You are The Bridge between Ro and Rah. You are The Bridge which connects Ro and Rah's hearts. You are that Bridge without whom they both got lost in this cruel world. You are that Bridge which gives them strength to tackle this biggest storm of their lives. You are That Only Bridge which can bring Ro and Rah together.. which can give Ro his Chhotu and Rah his family.. The Bridge which can lead them to have those for whom they have craved for their entire lives.

Virat was silent. Mahi and rest all gave him some alone time and space to self introspection. Virat got up after a while and went to Rahul's room. He saw Rohit was sleeping while resting his head on the headrest and caressing Rahul's hair with his one hand while Rahul was sleeping while holding Rohit's hand and Virat's watch in his hands.

Tears started falling from Virat's eyes. He was silently crying. Anu came to him and took him in a hug to which he broke down still didn't allow the voice come out of his throat. Virat broke the hug after a while. Mahi came to him and wiped his tears and caressed his hair.

Virat (mumbled): I am not The Barrier.

Mahi: Kya..??

Virat (determined): I am not The Barrier. I am The Bridge and I'll always be That Bridge which brings back the happiness in my Ro and Rahuliya's lives.

Virat said it with determined voice and Mahi and Anu both sighed in relief as they could see now the things will change for good specially for the Sharmas.

Finally Virat got his senses back😀.

What should be the next step? What should Virat do to start trying mending the relationship of RoHul? I am confused so kindly share some suggestions.
