Who Disturbed the Peace?

My paws pound against the wet ground. I push my muscles to the limit as I dash through the woods. My nails digging into the dirt to propel myself faster and faster. The rain coming down in pellets, spiking me in the face.

Another yelp echoes through the woods. My legs pump harder listening to the cries.

I'm close.

I feel bad for leaving Greyson in the water without a word, but he will understand later. Right now, I need to find out why Raymond is calling for help.

I head in the direction of his cries. I can sense myself getting closer. I let out a loud howl to him. Signaling I'm on my way.

A few moments later, he returns a thankful howl. He sounds real close now. I pound my legs faster. The trees start to spread out a bit the further I go. Looks like he wondered off of the normal trail. You know, now that I think about it, I have heard a lot of howls and yelps the past few nights. Is Raymond just fooling with me?

I jump through the final bush. My feet skid through the wet-muddy dirt as I try to break from my fast speed. As I come to a complete stop, I look up and see a blonde wolf hanging high up in a tree. The rain clouds my vision a bit but it is starting to lighten up. Raymond is tangled up in a tight silver net. He has barely enough room to move.

Shit, how did he get up there?

He notices me and I see his ears perk up. He lets out a happy yelp and struggles to move, causing the silver net he is trapped in to swing side to side. He whimpers in pain and I yelp back worried.

Shit, time to get him out of that mess.

I follow up the silver netting with my eyes. I notice that the silver turns to normal rope toward the top of the trap. The rope reaches all the way down to the ground. It's tied against another tree. I hurry over to the rope. I sniff it thoroughly.

I get a whiff of someone's scent, but no one familiar. There are also no traces of anything dangerous on the rope. I quickly get to gnawing on it. My teeth slowly begin to slice through the rope. With every snap of the rope I break through, the lower Raymond gets to the ground.

The taste of rope sticks to my tongue. It's course and dry. I try to ignore it as I chew through. Finally, after what seems like forever, it snaps. The noise cracks through the air loudly.

As it does, Raymond hurdles to the ground full force. A huge thud echoes as he hits the floor. I flinch just watching it. Oops.

He whimpers a bit.

I tread over to him. I reach down with my snout and grab the silver netting between my teeth. A burning heat flashes up through my lips.

Oh no. It has to be a hunter's trap. This part of the rope is infused with silver and wolf's bain.

I ignore the heat and pull the netting off of him. He whimpers and looks up at me. I can tell all his energy is drained out of him. I nudge him with my snout, urging him to stand.

He whimpers and struggles to get up. I hop to his side and help push up against him to help sturdy him. Together, we manage to get him to his feet. Suddenly, he growls angrily.

I follow his eyes to the other end of the forest. My eyes widen a bit.

A woman stands there, gun in hand. Her dark blue eyes stare directly into my own.

"Looks like this rogue has a friend. That's surprising. Dating perhaps? Mates maybe?" She asks, an evil glint in her eyes.

Her dark brown hair pulled back into a tight bun. Her face is angry and serious. You can tell this woman really hates werewolves. Judging by what she knows about us, she must be a hunter. Probably the one that set the trap.

I growl and protectively stand in front of Raymond. There is no way I'm letting her hurt him anymore than she already has.

"Aww, looks like the girl wears the pants in the relationship, huh?" A malicious smirk grows on her face, "Too bad being brave will only cause you an earlier death."

She raises her arms and readies the gun for fire. A loud clink echoes through the woods. My wolf jumps nervously, but then stands protectively, she knows we have to protect our injured friend. I bend down and growl offensively. My instincts act first as I sprint forward. She gives me a final smirk.

"Bye bitch."

Boom.

The gun cracks through the air. Black flashes across my vision as I fall to the floor in a heap.

To my surprise - I feel no pain. Is this what it's like to die? You just feel nothing?

What immediately follows this thought, is the piercing sound of her scream. It slices right through the air, meeting my ears at a high pitch. I whip my head in her direction to see her on the ground, belly up. A giant dark brown wolf is over top of her. She shields her face with her gun. The wolves jaws are cemented on the machine as it fights against her.

Wait, I know that wolf. I know him better than anyone. Greyson.

"Get off of me you stupid mutt!" She growls fiercely.

I look down at my trembling legs and realize that I merely collapsed due to fear. I shake my head and get back onto my feet. Now isn't the time to wimp out. I turn around to see Raymond staring in awe. I let out a loud bark in his direction. It breaks his concentration. He realizes that I'm telling him to leave.

I can see him shaking in fear. He slowly nods and backs away. Then another boom echoes. I flinch from the closeness. Oh no! Greyson!

My heart pounds as I whip my head back around.

To my relief, they are still tangled up in the same position. She must have accidentally fired another bullet.

She seems to be getting tired as she screams, "Harvey!"

Harvey? Where have I heard that name before?

Greyson growls and pulls hard, tearing the gun out of her grip.

"Shit," She shouts. I can see the fear creeping into her eyes.

Greyson bends down to her face. I wonder what he is going to do to her...

The rain slows to a mere misting as I watch the scene unfold.

Greyson lets out a viscous snarl. He opens his jaw wide. His teeth bearing. Then he aims for her throat.

His teeth wrap around her neck right when a huge silver mass tears into Greyson's side. Silver and dark brown roll around before suddenly it stops.

I finally see a Silver wolf, that's around Greyson's size, towering over Greyson. My eyes widen in shock.

Harvey the Silver wolf. I remember now. He is one of the most dangerous rogues. What makes him so dangerous? He has nothing to live for and he hates all werewolves. If you cross his path, he will kill you.

I growl viciously. My legs move before I can even think about it. I head full throttle toward Harvey with teeth bared viciously.

The hackles on my back are raised as I take him by surprise and grab onto his scruff. I use my whole body weight to propel him off Greyson. We both go flying.

My body slams hard into a tree. My wolf releases a loud yelp as we hit the trunk and slide to the ground. My eyes go dark and my head begins to spin. I guess I hit the tree harder than I expected.

At least Greyson will be able to get away now.

A vicious growl bounces through the trees. The authority in the voice makes me want to cower, but yet my wolf feels proud at the same time. Does that even make sense? I squint my eyes open to see Greyson standing over top of me protectively. His teeth exposed and hackles raised.

He was the one with the power in his growl?

Harvey is facing us in an offensive position. The woman hunter is next to him. She is using him to balance herself as she holds onto her bleeding neck. She tries to walk toward us but stumbles. Harvey catches her before she falls.

He lets out a low whimper.

"No Harvey, we have to finish them. We can go home after." She sturdies herself and reaches to her back pocket.

My head is still spinning, but I'm able to see her pull out a silver knife. It glimmers in the moonlight.

She steps towards us and Greyson let's out another powerful growl. I see Harvey flinch a bit, taking a step back.

Sadly the hunter woman just smirks, "Alpha tones don't work on hunters silly boy."

Alpha tone? Greyson is a rogue not an Alpha.

Then she glances down at me, "And what about you? You're a little hussy huh? Dating two guys at once? What would your mate think?" she says while shaking her head disappointedly.

My wolf releases an angry growl at her, clearly offended by that comment. I agree with my wolf one hundred percent. I'm not a hussy. This woman sure pisses me off.

"Still trying to fight back?" She glances back at the Silver wolf, "Harvey, take care of the big guy for me, okay?"

Harvey returns to his offensive position. He growls. His paws slice into the dirt and he charges at Greyson. Greyson, who is still in his offensive stance, holds his ground.

Harvey bares his teeth. His muscles ripple as he leaps full force at Greyson. Greyson braces himself over me.

Harvey collides with him.

The force of the collision results in them rolling off to the side. Greyson decides to fight back now. They roll over one another, fighting for dominance.

"Now that he is taken care of, I guess it's time to take care of the little slut over here." The woman says, breaking my attention away from the boys.

I turn to her and growl angrily. The knife still glimmering in her hand as she approaches me. Rain misting all around.

I need to fight back.

I shakily stand. Digging my claws into the ground to study my fragile state. I focus all me leftover energy into my muscles.

"Oh, still fighting back are we?" She sighs, "Why can't you be a good little pup and stay put?"

I growl and lower my head. I expose my teeth to her, showing that I will never back down. I know I can take her. I will never lose in a fight of will.

"Bring it bitch."

On that note I take off in the hunter's direction. Her evil smirk glimmers in excitement as she runs toward me, knife readied. We collide.

My left paw sinks into her skin as my nails scratch across her chest. She lets out a small cry as we land on the ground. I smirk in victory as she kneels to the ground holding her chest and neck, which is still bleeding from Greyson's earlier attack.

Then I feel a pain in my side. I grunt as my whole body begins to shake. My muscles go weak and I collapse to the floor.

As my body convulses, I look at my side and notice a huge gash.

Shit, she must have cut me without me knowing. Even so, why is my body reacting this way?

I let out a small whimper as pain surges through my entire body. My muscles and bones ache and shake viciously.

Suddenly, a loud snap rings in my ears and I howl in pain.

I feel my bones shifting in weird directions forcefully throughout my whole body.  I cry out as I start a transformation back into my human form unwillingly.

I lie on the ground withering in pain. I feel the grass against my bare skin and know I'm back in my human form.

Laughter comes from next to me, "So this is what you really look like?"

Suddenly she starts coughing and hacking up blood. She spits onto the ground, splattering the wet grass with splotches of crimson red.  I look over at her. She is knelt onto the ground still holding her wounds.

"What the... hell... did you... do to me?" I ask her, panting and still trying to ignore the pain.

She smirks, a red line drips down the corner of her mouth, "I lined the tip of my blade with Wolf's Bain, that way a small scratch like that can kill you as if you were a normal human being."

I groan as another flash of pain runs rampant through my side. I hold onto the wound with my hands. I feel blood seeping through my finger tips. My head rests onto the cold damp ground.

"I hope you are ready to die bitch." She smirks and starts to drag herself over to me.

Another burning pain laces through my body, hitting every nerve. I moan and close my eyes as my head drops to the ground in defeat.

My mind starts to go blank then suddenly an image starts to play out in my head.

"Lucia are you just going to give up?" My Father says in disappointment as he shakes his head.

I lie on the ground panting hard. Bruises line my stomach and arms. I look up into his eyes which look ashamed of me. My heart tears as he tosses his boxing gloves to the side and walks away from me. Leaving me beaten and alone.

No, it cant end like this.

"No..." I pant as I use the last bit of my energy to push myself up from the ground.

He turns around to look at me. He raises an eyebrow as I manage to get to my feet. I hold my hands up in a fighting pose.

"I'll never give up."

His straight face suddenly gains a proud smirk, "That's my girl."

My eyes shoot open as the huntress stands above my with the silver knife in her hands. My face grows angry. I quickly reach my arms up and grab onto her hands which are holding the weapon.

"I'm not ready to die yet." I state.

I force the knife down and into her thigh. She screams in pain as red seeps out of the wound, staining her pants. She looks up into my eyes. Angrily she reaches out and grabs my neck. I cough as she squeezes my now human muscles. Her strength may be stronger than mine, but I've always faced people stronger than myself.

I jerk out my leg, slamming it into her stomach forcefully. She grunts but doesn't let go of my throat. I struggle to breathe as I kick her again in the gut. She continues to squeeze and my vision starts to spot as I run out of oxygen.

Just then, howls sound in the distance. They seem close.

The huntress's head shoots up and her grip loosens, "What the hell?" she questions.

I take advantage of the moment and kick her gut again.

"Shit!" she shouts as I get out of her hold and back away from her.

Just then, the two wolves jump inbetween us. Greyson stands protectively in front of me while the silver wolf stands in front of the huntress. They growl at eachother. Neither willing to move.

I glance at Greyson's dark fur. I can see blood dripping from his fur. I really can't tell if it's his or Harvey's. Both are covered in blood and still ready to fight. Their hackles are raised aggresively.

"Harvey, get them!" the hunter shouts annoyed.

Harvey growls viciously and goes to take a step forward. Greyson steps forward in unison, getting ready to meet his attack once again. My heart pumps nervously. They both look like they are in shitty shape.

Just then another pain shoots through my stomach.

"Ah." I hiss and collapse to my knees in agony.

Greyson turn my way worriedly. I look up at his emerald eye and say, "I'm fine, really. Don't worry about me. Focus on them."

He looks unsure but quickly turns back to our enemies.

The huntress growls angrily, "Get them Harvey."

The silver wolf complies. Once again he readies himself in attak position. Greyson agressively lets out a warning growl.

Just as Harvey goes to take a step toward us, the howls from earlier pierce through the air. Only this time they are here. We all turn our heads toward the noise.

There poping out of the bushes are five large wolves and one smaller one. A strawberry blond wolf with grey spots runs out first, leading the smll pack. My eyes widen in surprise and they charge for us full throtle. The thumps of their paws against the ground grows louder.

"Shit!" The huntress hisses.

The silver wolf quickly runs next to her. She hops onto his back and he retreats full speed into the woods. I watch as their backs disappear into the trees. I blink in awe. Another shot of pain causes me to drop to the floor, but I hold in my voice.

The thumping of paws slows. I glance up to see all the wolves staring down at me. I smirk and say, "thanks for coming guys."  I notice two blonde wolves, a brown wolf, a red wolf and a greyish black wolf with some white markings.  I guess that means the whole squad is here besides Damien again.

The strawberry blonde wolf steps forward and shifts into her human form. I smile at the sight of my Mom. Her eyes are filled with worry.

"Shit Lucia, what the hell happened?" She asks as she approaches me.

I ignore the fact that she is bare ass naked, "We got into a little quarrell with a hunter and another wolf."

She bends down and moves my arm to expose my cut, she sighs in relief.

"Well atleast the cut isn't deep. You should heal in a few hours."  She says and glances at it funny. Concern crosses her eyes, "Wait, how long have you had this?"

"A while," I hiss as another pain causes me to almost cry out, "she lined the blade with wolf's bain."

Mom's eyes widen, "shit, let's get you back now." She turn to the small pack, "You guys go collect the evidence left behind.  We need to get Lucia back. Raymond carry her, she can't shift."

Everyone nods and disperses. Mom quickly shifts back into her wolf, heading toward the woods. Raymond's blonde wolf walks toward me. He eyes me for a moment and that's when I remember I am naked as well. My cheeks flame red in embarrassment.

As he approaches, an angry growl sounds from next to me and a dark brown wolf stands in front of me protectively.  Raymond gives him a strange look but I can see the tenseness in Greyson's shoulders. His wolf must still be uptight from all the fighting he just went through. It's probably best to just give his wolf what he wants.

"Raymond, it's okay, Greyson can take me back." I say.

They both turn my way. I can see relief in Greyson's eyes and Raymond nods softly.  I start to get self conscious with their stares.

"Well stop looking at me." I add embarrassed.

Raymond quickly looks away and Greyson looks down toward the ground. I sigh in relief. God I feel so weird without clothes on.

Raymond trots toward the other wolves who are dragging the trap and the gun back toward the pack house. Mom already left a while ago, most likely gettting ready to take care of my wounds.

I shakily push myself off of the ground. When I manage to catch my balance, I take a step forward. Unfortunatelty, the adrenaline has all wore off. Between the pain and the lack of energy, my legs give out from under me. I fall forward. Luckily Greyson shoots his snout out in enough time to catch me.

I sigh in relief, "Thanks." I add.

I look down at him and notice my naked body is practically spralled along his face. I let out a surprised yelp and cover his eyes with my hands. He lets out a small disapointed grunt. I laugh at his reaction.

He gently bends his front legs down, making it easier for me to get on his back. I use his strong head for support as I toss one leg over. I grab onto his scruff and pull the rest of my body on. As I do, my cut scrapes along his shouler blades.

I hiss in a sharp breath.

Greyson looks up at me and whimpers sadly. I squeeze gently on his scruff to help control the pain. I give him a weak smile, "I'm fine."  I look toward the woods and sigh, "Let's go home."

And with that, he takes off toward the pack house.
