Questioned by the Alpha.

"What do you want Damien?" I sigh in annoyance as he approaches us.

Before he can answer, the blonde shoots her head down, bowing to him.

"I apologize for disturbing you Damien." She says in a soft tone.

I roll me eyes at her submissive tone. Suck up. He smiles, pleased with her, which to be honest, leads me roll my eyes even more.

"It's alright Catalina. You are dismissed. I will see you later tonight, correct?" He asks and I gag.

"Of course! You know I will always be available if you need me." She bows submissively. "See you then."

She scurries down the hall. I roll my eyes again, completely annoyed and fed up with their interaction. Plus, that Catalina girl is so confusing. Why is she so aggressive towards me but so sweet to guys?

And this is why Rina is my only female friend.

Damien turns to me. I place my hands on my hips, waiting for him to say something. He grunts at the sight of me. Clearly he isn't pleased by my presence. Well that makes two of us buddy.

"Why can't you be like Catalina?" He asks annoyed.

I grunt, "Because I'm not a whore. Now what did you come here for?" I ask, cutting to the chase in a very disrespecting manner.

I'm surprised when he doesn't snap at me, but instead answers my question. "My dad wants you and Greyson to see him in his office. He has some questions for the two of you."

"About what?" Greyson asks, stepping up next to me.

I feel my body relax. His presence really soothes me; especially when I'm around Damien.

"Does it really matter? You are going whether I tell you or not." Damien snaps. His aura screams offensive.

His dislike for Greyson is obvious.

I see Greyson tense. It's easy to tell that these two hate each other and it's blatantly obvious as to why. Both of them have completely opposite personalities but at the same time they are both stubborn as rocks. I can't ever see them getting along in the future. Well, not that I can see Damien getting along with any other werewolf anyway. But these two especially will never be friends.

I roll my eyes at Damien's snippy comment. He can be a real child. I turn my head towards Greyson, "it's most likely about the encounter with the hunter and wolf. The Alpha probably wants more details."

I hear a small, annoyed growl and Damien turns on his feet and walks away, "no one asked you Lucia. Now are you just going to stand there all day?"

I frown in his direction. A small bit of anger boils deep in the pit of my gut. I really just want to beat the shit out of him some day. Grr, wait until I get my wolf back. He is going to get a piece of my mind.

I angrily strut forward and follow in his footsteps. Greyson walks beside me, his demeanor, completely calm. MY face almost contorts to confusion but I mask my sudden emotion.

How does he switch up his mood so fast? He was just pissed at Damien and now he is fine? Are all boys like this? Able to switch up their emotions, or is he just masking them? If so, then he is a good actor.

We walk through the loud, vibrant halls that we call home. The place is still crowded with wolves who just don't know how to live with others. It chaotic but homey. The fights and arguments of others have just turned into a mass of white noise.

I guess this is how it always has been in this pack. No one has loyalty to anyone but the Alpha so trouble happens everyday around here. It's pretty much every wolf for himself. We aren't much of a real pack. We are still kind of rogues in a sense. Wanderers with a home base.

We make it to the office. Damien is still leading the way so he grabs onto the handle and opens the door. Greyson and I follow his lead into the room.

When we get in, I'm surprised to see Raymond already seated in one of the chairs in front of the desk. Ah, so this is where he has been. No wonder I couldn't find him in his room. The Alpha must have gotten a hold of him earlier, before I got the chance.

I smile in his direction and give him a small wave. He smiles back and nods his head in acknowledgement. I look up and see the Alpha and Beta staring at Greyson and I expectantly. The Alpha motions towards the other chair.

"Please, have a seat. Damien, go get another chair." the Alpha commands.

Damien nods, following his father's orders. I can tell that he is pissed about this little job though. He is such a spoiled brat.

Greyson let's me sit in the chair that's already there as Damien wheels over the Beta's chair from his desk. He pushes it behind Greyson.

Greyson smirks at him, "Thanks man."

Damien is about to frown when he notices his father staring in his direction. He quickly feigns a smile, "No problem bud."

I want to burst out in laughter but now is not the time. I hold in my giggling and turn toward the Alpha. He is sitting upright at his desk. The Beta is leaning against the wall behind the Alpha like a little watch dog. The Alpha pulls out a large file and opens it.

"So you three were caught in the middle of a hunter's game. " He says as he flips through a few of the pages, "Care to explain what happened?"

I see Raymond sit upright and he answers the Alpha's question, "It's my fault sir. I couldn't sleep so I went for a run. I stupidly ran off our normal route. I wanted to explore and the next thing I knew, I was hanging up in a tree and my body felt like it was on fire."

The Alpha eyes him as he tells his story. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem mad, just curious.

"As I was hanging," Raymond continues on, "I started to get desperate. My wolf was freaking out so I began to call out for help. Luckily for me, Lucia came along and cut me down before the hunter came."

The Alpha continues to scan through the file as he says, "I see." He sighs and says, "As you have probably figured out by now, that trap was made with silver and wolf's bain. Hense, the reason you felt as if you were on fire. Your skin was literally burning." He finally stops flipping and separates a little paper from the rest, "Now what happened after you got down?"

Raymond shurgs, "I saw the hunter for a mere second before the Hunter was tackled by Greyson. Then I came back here to get help."

The Alpha nods, "So you didn't really get a good look at the hunter?"

Raymond shakes his head, "No sir."

"Alright, then you are dismissed for now. Take a cool shower and relax tonight. Your body must be pretty sore from hanging in a hunter's trap that long."

Raymond nods and stands from the chair, "Thank you sir. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help."

With that, he turns and heads out of the office. Once he closes the door behind himself, all eyes turn toward Greyson and me. The Alpha smiles at me. I get this weird chill that runs all the way down my spine. Why has he been all smiley and happy with me lately? It almost freaks me out a bit. He is always so serious with everyone else.

"Leave it to you Lucia to get involved with the hunters again." The Alpha says almost in a proud tone.

Okay, now this is creepy.

I just smile shyly and respond with, "Yeah... When I heard Raymond's cries for help, I had to go."

"You are very loyal." He states.

I blush and look down at my hands. I don'ty really know how to respond to that. Luckily, it looks like I don't have to.

The Alpha quickly adresses Greyson, "So you young man, tackled the hunter?" he asks.

Greyson casually nods, not intimidated at all by the Alpha's eyes, "Yes sir."

"So you saw what it looked like up close?"

Greyson just nods.

The Alpha then pushes the piece of paper, the one he had earlier seperated from the rest, in front of Greyson.  I lean up a bit and notice that it is a photo.

"Can you point out which hunter it is?" The Alpha asks.

I peek over a little more and see that it is a group photo. There are several people who look like they are in a club together or something. They all must be hunters.

"Sure thing." Greyson scans the photo. He squints harder and shakes his head, "The hunter isn't there."

The Alpha gives him an odd look, "Are you sure? Check the faces closely."

Greyson shakes his head, "No the hunter isn't in this picture."

"How do you know?" The Alpha questions, annoyed. Oh boy...

"Because the hunter I tackled was a female. All these are men." He states and leans back in his chair.

The Alpha furrows his eyebrows, "A female hunter?"

Greyson nods.

"I haven't seen one of those in a while..." He turns to me, "You saw the hunter too, correct?"

"Yes sir, I actually fought her." I answer.

"By yourself?"

"Well technically, yes." I say but quickly add, "Greyson was fighting off the wolf."

The Alpha frowns, "Actually this is the topic I wanted to get to. Was this wolf just a passing by rogue? Was he also stuck in a trap like Raymond was?"

I shake my head, "No sir, he was under her control."

The Alpha's eyes widen a bit surprised, "Under the huntresses control?"

"Yes... but the other shocking thing is that the wolf's name is Harvey..." I add.

The Alpha's eyes get a flash of surprise then they quickly grow angry. I look down again. When he looks mad like this it scares me a bit.  Even if it isn't my fault he is upset.

"Harvey the Silver wolf?" he asks and I nod. "Working with a hunter?"

"Yes sir." I answer.

He sighs angrilly, "Shit." He turns to my father, "Emmanuel, get your ass moving, we need to find out more about this and fast."

My father nods and scurries toward his desk. Alpha Serg sighs and turns to Damien.

"I need you and the team to take a break from thieving around and work on this case for me."

Damien nods, "Sure thing Dad. Just one question... Why is this so important?"

The Alpha sighs, " Raymond isn't the first case of someone getting caught in this huntress's trap. Actually we have had a total of six deaths and one injury besides Raymond. These two are becoming a serious threat. They are getting closer and closer to our territory."

Six deaths? Holy shit. That's a lot and he hasn't even informed the pack about it? When was he planning on telling us?

"Damien, we will be trying to track the two of them by looking at the history we have on the hunters. Your group will have to take a different route. Try tracking them through Harvey. I have a small file on him but I don't have much." The Alpha wheels his chair over to the file cabinet next to his desk.

He opens up the bottom drawer. It's filled with papers and files that all seem to be neatly placed and orderly. I'm surprised that he is able to keep all of this organized. He has so much to handle and his mate passed away a while ago. Usually the Luna would handle filing and things like this.

Then I remember my Mom. She has been up late working on papers and such for Trinity. It must have been her who has been organizing these files. That would make sense. My mom is a very organized person. When her and Dad were mates, she would handle all of the Luna's duties on her own. She must be used to it.

Serg scans through the manilla folders with his fingers. When he scopes out the one he wants, he pulls it out and plops it on his desk. He slides it over to Damien, who picks it up casually in his right hand.

"That's all we have, but I know I can count on you guys to get this done for me."

He sounds so confident in our abilities. Which is a good thing. He relies on us a lot to get things done for this pack.

"Thanks Dad. We will get right on this, don't worry." Damien answers in a serious tone.

The Alpha's smile is proud as he says, "I know I can count on you." He stands up, "Alright, you are all dismissed."

He grabs the file he had off the table as we stand from our seats. Damien leads the way out of the office.

Honestly I was surprised by how Damien handled that. The way he was answering the Alpha, he seemed like he really wanted to help out. Maybe I misjudged him.

We walk out into the hallway and Greyson shuts the door behind him. As soon as the door clicks shut, Damien turns around to face us.

"Alright here," he shoves the file in my face causing me to frown, "take care of this. Derek should be able to handle it on his own but if he needs help, help him. Let me know when you get any clues."

I swipe the manilla folder from his hand aggressively. It looks like I was wrong. I fell for his act that he put on for the Alpha. Looks like Damien isn't capable of doing anything but barking orders.

He walks down the hall. I roll my eyes as I watch him leave.

What a dick. He couldn't even bring this stupid thing to Derek on his own? He is such a good for nothing asshole.

I feel anger boil in my gut as I think about him possibly leading the pack in the future. This place will fall apart if he leads. No one will respect a brat like that.

I feel something gently plop onto my head and my muscle relax a bit. My eyes and head turn up to see Greyson looking down at me with a hand on my head.

"I know he is an ass but don't let it get to you. Just keep leading the team the way you do and eventually someone will notice his inability to lead."

I sigh and hug the file close to my body, "How do you always know what I'm thinking?"

He smiles, "You're easy to read."

I roll my eyes and swat his hand from my head, "That's not true," I state then add, "Let's head to Derek's room. Rina is waiting for me anyway and now we need to discuss this new mission."

He nods in agreement and off we go.
