Rogue Luna chapter 5.

Damien decided to move me back into his room after quickly getting the door fixed where we both sat in silence, I sat on the floor and he sat on the bed where he continued to stare at me in our silence.

I had nothing to say to him, I didn't have anything to sat to anyone, after being alone for so long with no one but my wolf to talk to I forgotten what it's like to interact with others who weren't trying to kill me.

"Is there nothing you want to say to me?" I finally heard him ask.

"No, I want to leave now," I said harshly.

"There's something I would like to say to you," He responded back.

"I don't care for what comes out of your mouth honestly," I retorted.

I looked up at the bed and noticed he was intensely staring at me, a heat in his gaze as he never broke eye contact. I couldn't help myself for some reason, the intensity of his gaze, the fire in his eyes, I felt my face heating up under his stare as I quickly broke away from the eye contact.

"Your face says otherwise Iris," The way my name rolled off his tongue sent a slight chill down my spine.

"Spit out what you wanted to say already!" I snapped, embarrassed by my sudden moment of weakness.

"I just wanted to say you are the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes on," He chuckled, amused by my sudden flustered attitude.

He stood up from the bed and stretched, his shirt slightly rising up to flash a view of his toned stomach and low rise jeans loosely hanging off of his hips, showing off his defined v line. I quickly turned away not wanting him to notice me admiring his body and giving him the wrong idea.

"I have some things I need to attend to for the pack, I've asked Danielle to come by and watch over you since you seem a little more comfortable with my sister," He said just before there was a knock at the door. He walked over to open it and there stood his little sister Danielle there with an awkward stance.

"Dani, she is not to leave this room under any circumstances. I'll be back a little later today," Damien said before walking out of the room and closing the door leaving Danielle and I alone together.

"Please don't run away, I don't want to get in trouble," Danielle said as she looked at me with wide eyes, unsure if I was going to run at any moment.

I sighed and laid my head against the wall, closing my eyes.

"I won't for now,"

"How long have you been a rogue?" She asked me.

I didn't want to talk, I didn't like talking to people. Actually I didn't really know HOW to talk to people but it seemed like this girl had no interest in sitting in silence.

"For about 6 or almost 7 years years I guess," I answered.

She gasped.

"That's such a long time, especially for a she wolf. Were you ever scared or had to fight anyone?" She pushed on.

"I was scared at first for a long time but I got used to that fear after a while and I ended up just staying in the trees to avoid others as much as possible," I shrugged my shoulders and turned my head to look up out of the window. It was a beautiful day, the sky was clear and bright blue, the birds swooped around in the sky enjoying their care free life. It was days like this when I really enjoyed being a rogue. I would sit up in the highest tree I could find and watch from the skies. The passerby's hunting or scavenging below me, the animals and insects going about their days. I enjoyed watching the sky change color throughout the day.

Yeah I missed watching the sky change colors from the trees the most.

"Do you hate my brother?" I heard Danielle ask me in the background.

"If you were being held on against your will on foreign territory how would you feel towards that person?" I asked nonchalantly.

"Yeah I guess that makes sense, I can tell he really likes you and he wants to make things work with you. Do you not like being in a pack?" She continued asking me questions.

"I don't like being a burden, I don't like being told what to do, I don't like being around people and I definitely don't like being forced into a position of power I don't even want," I listed.

I was referring to the position of Luna of the pack, my mate was obviously an Alpha and of course me being his mate I would have to become Luna, in charge of the entire pack along side with him and that wasn't something I saw myself being.

The bedroom door opened and there Damien walked in with a tired expression on his face.

"Dani you may leave now," He ordered.

She quickly bounced up from the bed and walked to the door before turning back to me and waving cheerfully.

"Bye Iris! It was nice talking to you and I hope we can hang out again soon!" She walked out of the room as Damien closed the door behind her.

She seemed like a sweet girl, I never really had that many friends before I became a rogue and there definitely aren't that many she wolf rogues willing to get along with anyone else. This was the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed someone's company.

"You don't seem like much of a talker but you would rather open up to my sister instead of me?" He asked curiously.

"She's not the one who kidnapped me, the less attachment we have for each other the easier it'll be for you to let me go," I didn't bother too look over at him, I continued staring out the window, wishing I could feel the summer breeze.

"I think it's too late for that," I whipped my head around fast and noticed him standing directly in front of me, staring down at me with his hand sin his pockets. He gave me a look of sadness in his blue eyes, almost like he was saddened by my words.

"What?" I questioned.

"You heard me," He chuckled.

I stood up from the ground so that we were standing right in front of each other, him slightly towering over me because of the height difference.

"What do you mean it's too late?" I badgered him.

He raised his hand up to my cheek and gently caressed it. His slightly rough skin rubbing up against face was surprisingly pleasant and it seemed to calm my sense. His smell wrapped around me, melting into his touch, almost forgetting my worries.

"I'm already attached to you, I barely know anything about you but I still never want you to leave my side. I think if you were to leave my wolf and I would be be shattered. The moment I laid eyes on your wolf I knew you were different and you had to be mine, if only we met under different circumstances instead of these," He said.

I felt myself leaning in closer and closer until I felt my entire body pressed up against his. His hands traveled down to my lower back, resting there, not moving any further. We stood there, two complete strangers engrossed in each others touch.

His entire existence pulled me in, his touch, touch and all. I haven't felt such feelings of tranquility in years it was almost addictive. All these years of running, hunting and fighting, did I truly want that when I could just stay here and allow myself to indulge in these new sensations. But what came along with these sensations? The pack life, something I would have to get used to, everyone works in a group as a team effort when all I've been used to was working alone and only for me.

The marking and mating, something that terrified me, allowing another being to become a part of you, to willingly allow one into your mind to feel your emotions and thoughts terrifying. Becoming a Luna, I wasn't Luna material, I've gone all of these years only to have myself to worry for and now I would have to put my life on my line for others, become a person of authority, lead and inspire others.

Something I had no business doing.

"It's so strange, the mate pull," I muttered out loud to myself.

I felt him pull me in closer, lowering his head into the crook of my neck and deeply inhaling my scent. I wrapped my arms around his neck for comfort as we stood there in silence. Such small gestures but they were enough to make me feel so serene. I couldn't get attached, I didn't want to get attached because the more he pulled me in, the harder it would be for me to get away and the more trouble I would be for others.

'I know what you are thinking, if you decide to do what you are thinking of doing then you will gain nothing but a broken heart' I heard my wolf in my mind.

I couldn't deny that she was right, no one could deny the laws of nature. The mate pull was set in stone once you met your mate thanks to the Moon Goddess.

This was the reason why I never wanted to find my mate.
