"There is nothing to talk about," I said.

"Don't play dumb with me Iris, I knew I was right about you being an Alpha born, you're the daughter of Adam and Lucie Rose, the Alpha and Luna of the Moonshine pack. I know all about what happened to your parents," He said.

His last sentence was all that was needed to set me off.

"You know nothing about what happened to my parents! You did not witness them being murdered in cold blood! You didn't have to run away when you were just twelve, you weren't captured various times and tortured for things you don't know about! You don't know anything!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. 

Damien looked at me with sadness in his eyes. 

"Their allies definitely weren't there when my mother and father were murdered," I hissed. 

"We had no idea what was happening or how they died, we had no information and the pack just went dark, no means of communication going in or coming out," Damien's father said as he walked in.

"I met your mother and father quite a few time, such lovely people. I remember they had a daughter and she was the sweetest little thing I have ever met. She was fun and loving and didn't have a care in the world, I didn't know the girl would grow up witnessing her parents death and turning so cold," He said sadly. 

"Well why didn't you recognize me?" I snapped.

"The last time I saw you was years ago, I only assumed you died along with your pack and parents," He said. 

"Why did you keep this from me Iris?" Damien asked.

I felt tears forming in my eyes, "I didn't want to re live those moments, I put them aside thinking it would make me stronger when in reality it just made me numb. Have you ever had the feeling of being chased? Everyday and you don't even know what you're being chased for? Everyday I've fought for myself so that I wouldn't end up like my parents. I-I...." I couldn't even finish without bursting into tears.

Damien came over to give me a tight squeeze.

"You what Iris?" 

"When I was finally able to escape it felt amazing, I controlled my own actions and it didn't feel like anyone holding me back, I just didn't want to feel trapped. When I met you I was scared, afraid that you would bring back those feelings of being trapped in darkness with no light around me," I finished.

"But who was after you?" Damien asked.

Flashback

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me but it still wasn't fast enough because soon a wolf caught up to me and stopped me in my tracks. The wolf growled at me and nudged me with it's head, signaling for me to walk back. I did what I was told because I didn't know what to do, I was terrified. I walked back to the pack entrance with the wolf behind me and the same man that murdered my mother walked towards me with open arms.

"Iris darling why did you run away from me?" The man asked. I didn't answer because I was too terrified. He bent down so he was my height.

"It's rude not to answer someone when they ask you a question," He said annoyed.

I was paralyzed with fear, unable to say anything, just staring at the scar my mother placed upon his face.

"I said answer me!" He said as he back handed me. I fell to the ground with tears streaming down my face.

"Take her back, maybe she will start talking after we've locked her away," He said. I felt someone yank me by my hair and pull me up. I wiggled and squirmed under his grasp but he only shook me.

"Stop squirming you little bitch,"

I was taken into the cells where prisoners were kept and I immediately started to freak out.

"No, no I don't want to go in there! Leave me alone!" I screamed.

"You sound so cute when you're fighting," The man said as he threw me into one of the cells and turned back, locking the door behind him.

I couldn't see anything inside, there was no light, no windows, I couldn't even see my hands in front of me.

"Please let me out!" I cried out.

I held my hands to my ears as I rocked back and forth, the feeling of darkness suffocating me as I began hearing voices in the dark and voices in my head. 

'You can't escape this'

'You are destined for this'

'Give up now and it won't be so hard'

I started shaking my head at the voices. "Leave me alone," All of a sudden it felt as thought something grabbed onto my neck and began choking me, I couldn't breath as I clawed at my neck, trying to break free. I cried because my parents were dead, I was alone in the dark and I was being tormented by something I couldn't even see.

'Accept what you are!'

I heard a voice scream in my head. I wanted the pain to stop, I wanted everything to go away so I simply whispered yes before blacking out.

End of Flashback

When I finished Damien and his father just looked at me with amazement.

"What happened after that?" Damien's father asked.

"I don't know, I woke up in the woods alone with nothing but my back pack and I was covered in blood that wasn't mine," I said, wiping away my tears.

"That doesn't answer my question, who was after you?" Damien asked irritated.

"I don't know who he is!" I snapped.

"Then how am I supposed to protect you and I don't even know who is after you?!" He snapped back.

"I never asked for your protection! Maybe if you hadn't found me that day in the forest you would still be with you little girlfriend who you were so sure was the one!" I said angrily. I knew he was just concerned and trying to protect me but he was going about it all the wrong way.

He closed his eyes and stepped back making me realize we were in each other's faces.

"I don't want to fight tonight, I really thought we could have a great time tonight celebrating my birthday and your entrance into the pack but I guess I was wrong," He sighed as he walked away.

I dropped onto the couch and huffed loudly. Looks like that ruined the day.

Damien's father dropped next to me and began rubbing my back to comfort me.

"I'm sorry Iris for not properly introducing myself and not getting to know the future Luna of our pack," He held his hand out in front of me.

"Hello my name is Curtis, Damien's father," He said.

I shook his hand and smiled. "I'm Iris,"

"Well I think you and Damien might want to go talk things over, I sense a genuine connection between you two, the problem is you're both just stubborn," He said before getting up and walking off. 

I decided to take his advise and ended up finding myself in front of Damien's door. I pushed it open and peeked inside to see Damien laying on  the bed looking up at the ceiling thinking. 

I wasn't sure what to say honestly so I used the mind link to speak to him.

'Damien can you unzip me?'

I sent to him through my mind.

He looked up at me and got up and walked over to me. I fully entered the room and closed the door behind me. I felt a hand slide onto my shoulder and I jumped.

I heard Damien chuckle. "Turn around."
I turned around so my back was facing him. I felt his hand slide down to the top of the dress and I shivered with delight. I loved it when Damien touched me.

I heard him unzip the dress and felt as it fell to the ground. I stepped out of it and felt Damien's hand go down to my waist. He held me and he lowered his head to my neck and started placing butterfly kisses on my neck. I enjoyed this attention Damien was giving me and I wanted more. I was standing here in the middle of the room wearing nothing but my bra and panties with my body pressed against Damien's, I thought of an idea that I might end up regretting later.

Mark me.

I sent into Damien's mind. Once he heard it he stopped the butterfly kisses and moved his mouth to my ear and whispered "Are you sure?"
I don't know why but I wanted this, I really wanted this so I barely whispered "yes".
Damien turned me around and pushed me up against the wall. Walked over to me against the wall, grabbed my face and smashed his lips into mine, I felt an electric surge go through my body as we kissed.

This kiss was full of passion, lust and hunger. He licked my bottom lip but I already opened for him and I felt his tongue dash in. I loved how our lips moved in sync. I had my hands on his chest, feeling his toned chest and his hands were on my waist gripping it. He removed his lips from mine and started kissing my jawline, my arms wrapped around his neck and my hands went for his soft brown hair.

He removed his hands from my waist only to pick up both of my legs and wrap them around his waist. He rubbed all on my thighs as he trailed the butterfly kisses down to my neck, I bit my lip hard trying to fight back a moan. He paused at the place between my neck and my shoulder but then I felt him sink his canines into my flesh.

I felt a stinging pain but for some reason I enjoyed the pain. He took his canines out of my skin and carried me to the bed and plopped me down. He got on top of me and rested in between my legs, he put all his weight on his arms which were on both sides of me. He continued kissing my neck. I began to tug at the hem of his shirt and he sat up, taking the hint and help me take it off.

I marveled at his perfect toned torso, I rubbed my hands through his six pack and he smiled. He crashed his lips onto mine and then began a trail of kisses on my jawline I dug my fingers into his back. I wrapped my legs around his waist.

I need you to stop

All of a sudden darkness washed over me and I began to feel trapped. I looked around and all I saw was darkness. I began to freak out. I heard voices in the darkness, something calling my name.

"Iris....iris!" I couldn't tell what was calling me because all I saw around me was darkness. I was pulled into an abyss of darkness with things talking to me.

I felt the symbols on my back burn. I felt weak and trapped. I sat in the darkness and cried.

All of a sudden I saw a white dog like figure walk towards to me like a light source. I then realized it was my green eyed, white wolf.

There is darkness inside of you, darkness that some people want to control for power, there is also light inside of you, these people don't want you to find the light

'I don't understand any of this'

The moon goddess has big plans for you, whether you will choose the light or darkness that is entirely up to you. However I will always be the light inside your darkness and the trail when you feel lost. Whether you choose the light, you will always be battling the darkness and whether you choose the darkness there will always be that light inside of you, there will always be me
