Rogue Luna Chapter 13.
What pack did you belong to rogue?" Damien's father asked rudely without introduction.
"Why does that need to be known?" I snapped as I rolled my eyes. Talking about my pack and my parents was always a touchy subject that I never wanted to talk about, I didn't know this man so what gave him the right to question me?
"A filthy rogue just so happens to be a little too close to our borders and is announced to be Damien's mate, I don't trust you. I don't know what you're planning but if I find out you're doing this to expand your power and pack I will-"
"My pack was destroyed and my Luna and Alpha were murdered, there is no pack to expand because it's gone," I growled, on the verge of shifting.
He looked at me with a shocked expression, obviously he wasn't expecting that answer from me, honestly I wasn't expecting that from me but he was pushing too far. I stormed away in search of Vi and Danielle.
"I'm ready to go," I announced as I found Vi and Danielle talking in the other room.
"Yes dear of course, I just wanted to make sure everything was ready and before we go I just wanted to let you know that I am excited and proud to call you my daughter in law," She smiled.
Her smile was contagious and I couldn't help but smile back.
"Come on Iris we have to go and get ready," Danielle said, pulling me. I started questioning why I was even summoned here. By the time we arrived back at the pack house the sun was already low and setting meaning it was almost time for the ceremony, we got back to the room and Danielle dangled the outfit in front of my face.
"Come on you gotta put it on," She said.
I groaned because I really didn't want to put it on. I grabbed it out of her hands anyway and walked into the bathroom to change in peace. It was a white tube top with gems attached to it, leaving the stomach in clear view, the skirt was short and flowy enough for it to flow with the dance moves and I was left barefoot. Of course I didn't mind since I was so used to walking around barefoot. I stepped out of the bathroom and heard Danielle gasp.
"You look so beautiful! Let me do your hair!" She said as I tried to cover up the scars and marks on my arm from being a rogue for so long.
"Fine, only because I don't know how to do my own hair," I said.
"Have these white streaks always been in your hair?" She asked as she sat me down and began messing with my hair.
"Yeah I was born with them, even if I cut my hair they always grow back," I shrugged my shoulders. She tugged and pulled at the knots in my hair for what seemed like hours and then she began applying heat to it which seemed to flatten my hair out and before we knew it, Vi came bursting through the room.
"Come on girl we are about to start! Oh my Goddess Iris you look absolutely beautiful! There will be no need to apply makeup since you'll be doing the pack entrance ceremony," She quickly pulled me up and began pulling me out of the room with Dani trying to catch up behind. We stopped at the front entrance and Violet turned to me.
"Are you ready to do this?" Vi asked me.
I nodded.
She pulled me outside into the dark, there were torches lit and a giant circle of pack members formed in the middle of the territory. Violet led me to the rest of the girls in formation in the middle of the crowd. I noticed Damien sitting on a miniature throne in front of us with a bored expression on his face until he saw me. I noticed the circle widened and the light focused more on us. I looked up and Damien and I's eyes connected, he gripped the edges of the chair as he looked me up and down hungrily. A low music began to play signaling for us to begin, the girls broke into formation with me being in the middle since I was his actual mate and I never took my eyes off of him. I moved my hips to the beat slowly, gradually speeding up with the music, never breaking eye contact. Everything was perfect just like rehearsal but this time the girls didn't dare to drop me in front of their Alpha. As we came to the end of the routine, the girls dropped to their feet and bowed as I stood there staring up at him. I was supposed to bow as well but I wouldn't dare dropped down to my knees.
I looked up and saw Damien smiling at me, as if it was what he expected from me. As he continued to stare at me his smile faded and he mouthed go put more clothes on. I realized the crowd was clapping and a few male wolf were whistling at us so I could guarantee that Damien didn't like that at all. I felt someone tugging on my arm so I looked over to see Dani next to me.
"Come on you have to be changed quickly for the pack entrance ceremony," She said
I nodded, eager to follow behind her and strip out of the outfit. I walked back to the room and quickly changed into the dress lying on the bed. The dress was a strapless pure white outfit covering my feet with a long train behind it, more like a casual wedding dress to me. I looked into the mirror at myself and smiled. My green eyes were full of light, something I hadn't seen in. a long time. I looked happy.
I was being brought into another pack, to be called Luna as exciting and terrifying as that was. But something deep down inside me was telling me I couldn't wait to be in control, it was like a darker side of me waiting to gain power, something that always haunted me but my wolf was always there to suppress those emotions and thoughts. I looked back over at Danielle and noticed tears flowing down her happy face. I walked over to her to wipe her tears away for her.
"I'm sorry but you just look so beautiful, I always wanted to have an older sister and I'm just glad you're someone I can look up to," She said as she hugged me. I was overwhelmed with joy at the fact that she called me her sister. I was also overwhelmed by something else.
The feeling of being trapped in darkness. I quickly pushed Danielle away and gave her an apologetic look.
"Sorry, I forgot about your situation," She said.
I shrugged my shoulders, secretly mad that I ruined our sisterly moment that we had. There was a knock on the door and as Danielle opened it there stood Blake in the doorway smiling.
"Damn, well don't you clean up nice," Blake said grinning, I couldn't help but grin as well.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Well usually the mate goes and hand off their mate to the Alpha so he may perform the ceremony but your mate IS the Alpha so I'll be doing it," Blake explained.
"Was Damien okay with a mateless male wolf handing off his mate?" Danielle giggled.
"Well no, your mother had to persuade and force him to let me do it...he's getting into that possessive stage of finding his mate," He scratched the back of his head.
I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed Blake's hand to wrap my arm around it.
"Well then we better go before Damien gets anymore possessive," I smiled.
Danielle waved before hurrying out of the pack house. After a few minutes Blake stated that it was time to head out. We walked out of the pack house and everyone turned their attention to us. If Blake wasn't supporting me right now I would have fell from being weak to my knees. Everyone was on either side with the middle clear like walking down an aisle. Blake and I slowly walked down the middle and I didn't dare look anyone in the eye due to nervousness. Once we reached Damien at the end I heard him growl and Blake quickly released me as he stepped to the side. When I turned back to Damien he had an enormous smile on his face from ear to ear.
"Flower what is your full name?" Damien asked me in a hushed tone.
"Iris Lillian Rose,"
"Do you Iris Lillian Rose, promise to respect this pack and trust it with your life?" He asked.
"Yes, I do," I answered.
"And do you Iris Lillian Rose to protect and care for every pack member with your life, as our next Luna?" He asked.
I hesitated for a moment.
"I do," I finally said.
I noticed he had a glove on his dominant hand and he picked up a silver dagger using his gloved hand.
"We shall now commence the mixture of our blood so you may truly become one with the pack,"
He sliced open his hand and I winced in pain as he made a perfect slit into the palm of my hand. We then grabbed each other's hands tightly, at first I felt nothing but the tingling sensation of my palm being slit open but then it sounded as though there was a distant chanting in the far distance and it kept growing louder and louder until I could clearly hear what they were chanting.
Luna...Luna...Luna...Luna...
I looked around trying to figure out where the sound was coming from but then I realized it was the mind link connection, I was becoming one with the pack.
"Iris Lillian Rose, your name is absolutely beautiful but I, Damien Gabriel Caddel would like to officially welcome you to the pack, Luna," He smiled and bowed in front of me. I turned around to see the entire crowd bowing in front of me.
The celebration afterwards was nice but it honestly wasn't something I was used to, people from all over the pack would walk over to me and introduce themselves as they bowed, showing me respect. I felt myself growing shy as I continued to walk around, not really staying in one place because I wasn't used to this many people showing me kindness.
***********
"Oh my Goddess the rumors were true, she really is beautiful," a woman approached me and complimented me.
I blushed at her compliment.
"Woah, didn't know you were the type to blush," Damien walked over as the woman walked away. He turned to me and planted a kiss on my forehead.
"There's a lot you don't know about me," I said in response.
"That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about, my father told me about your little conversation which he would like to apologize for," He sighed.
"Please Damien, I don't want to talk about this right now," I pleaded.
"We will talk about this later," He said, squeezing my sides.
"Iris!" I heard two voices calling for me. I turned around and noticed the red head twin girls.
"We wanted to apologize for our terrible judgement about you earlier, we really hope you can forgive us," The one on the left said.
"My name is Katie by the way," The one on the right said.
"And I'm Katelynn," Said the other, they both bowed before me and quickly got up.
"We really hope you can forgive us," Katie said.
I nodded and they both squealed and attempted to give me a hug before I stopped them.
"Don't touch me, I said I can forgive you but that doesn't mean I will completely forget about it, what you said was rude and disrespectful and it will take some time for you to gain my trust and respect, do you understand?" I asked.
They both looked at each other and nodded. "We hope that we can al one day become friends," Katie said as they turned to walk away.
"Spoken like a true Luna," I turned to see Damien observing me and I scowled at him.
"I wish everyone would stop saying things like that,"
He chuckled "Come on, there are a few people I would like you to meet," He grabbed my hand and walked me over to a slightly more mature couple.
"Iris this is John, my third in command and his mate Lucie,"
My heart sank at the sound of her name, she had the same name as my mother though she looked nothing like her. John was a slightly tired looking man with low cut blonde hair and seemed to be the same height as Damien with dark brown tired eyes. I realized that I had seen this man before. Lucie was a strawberry blonde with light brown eyes and seemed to be about my height, she was a skinny woman with not much shape but that didn't stop john from keeping his hands on her.
"Luna," They both bowed in respect. I simply nodded and stared at the ground, uncomfortable with the amount of attention I've been getting throughout this celebration and Damien must have noticed.
'hey guys we actually have to go but we will definitely come over soon to see the little ones," Damien said before leading me away from the festivities and led me back to the pack house where I flopped on the crouch the moment we entered. He stood in front of me and crossed his arms over his chest.
"You need to start talking,"
