Chapter 14: Tyflos, Alla Tora Vlepo

Rocky Gone Rogue

Hey guys, Charisma here! Sitting in my hospital bed in Edmonton (capital of Alberta, about 1.5 mil. people) for my pneumothorax that has gotten so bad, they have me hooked to a chest tube which extends 7 inches in my body alone, IV, heart monitors etc. all the fancy hospital shit. Sorry I haven't updated recently; I have a good excuse, please. Okay important notice; RGR is coming to a close soon, and I have a few ideas for what story to write after it's completely wrapped up. I have a document posted on my "Announcements and Advice" story so that people could see which ones they like; and I've gotta say, a lot, and I mean A LOT, of people really want me to write the 5th story option, "Why the Sky Grows Bleak." So I'm feeling heavily inclined to that option, but it still doesn't hurt to voice your opinion about any other story listed. Thx. Now, on to the chapter! I'm pretty sure this is either going to be the last, second last, or at most the third last chapter. Okay, anyway, story,......here it is! ;D

Disclaimer: I don't own PAW Patrol.

Chapter 14: Tyflos, Alla Tora Vlepo

"We, uhhh......." Chase just muttered sheepishly, bowing his head down to the ground in shame, afraid to meet his friend's tearing eyes. He had just reunited with his supposedly dead compadre, and already the mood of happiness that had momentarily enveloped the small hotel room had been destroyed. Rocky looked up to Ryder in panick. "R-Ryder, w-where is he?" He half spoke, half hiccuped the last sentence as his fears and worries began to catch up with him. Ryder also hung his head in sorrow. "W-We,........don't know Rocky. He disappeared while we were all crying, and nobody noticed. We searched for him for a while after we realized he wasn't with us. But we couldn't find him. We searched the whole park, but the rain had washed away his scent and eventually his footprints, so we couldn't track him. We're so sorry, Rocky. We tried." Ryder's head fell further down, and soon some of the others in the room began to droop their heads in shame. Rocky was both appalled and ashamed. He thought Ryder cared for them! How could he just leave Eleftherios! And how could Eleftherios just up and leave! That was so uncharacteristic of him. Something was wrong, Rocky could feel it, and he didn't like it one bit. Where would Eleftherios have gone? And why would he have to have left in such a way? Things just didn't seem to add up. He felt like he was missing something, or that maybe Eleftherios was the one missing something. Or someone. Either way, how could the others have not even noticed that Eleftherios had disappeared until way later? "There has to be a logical explanation for this." contemplated Rocky, his brow furrowing in thought.

Rocky had actually been pondering this whole predicament for a full five minutes, and Ryder and the other pups had stopped hanging their heads and had looked up at Rocky, wondering what he was thinking about. Their faces all showed signs of concern for the mixed breed, as he sat down and stared at the floor, pondering. Of course, to the others it looked like he was close to tears, and their hearts went out to him. Skye was the first to get up and walk over to him, putting a pwa on his shoulder as tears started to fall from her own eyes. "R-Rocky, were so sorry. W-We looked everywhere in the park, b-but we j-just couldn't f-find him." Rocky didn't even seem to acknowledge her presence, and that scared her, so she pulled him in for a hug.

"Wha...!" Rocky blurted out as Skye hugged him. He hadn't even noticed she had walked up next to him, let alone talked to him or put her paw on him. "Skye....what are you?-ack!" Everybody had come over to Rocky and gave a big group hug, which again, Rocky didn't expect, but he had to admit it was nice and very comforting. But he saw their faces; he knew why they were hugging him. They thought he was sad, that he had given up on ever finding the collie werepup, just like them, even though he was just thinking. "Guys, wait! I'm not sad or anything! I was just thinking!" But no one listened to him as they continued to give the love and support they thought he needed; even though Rocky knew he didn't. Rocky just sighed, exasperated and relieved at the same time. He actually quite liked the loving embrace he was being given; it filled him with a sense of calm and sensibility, clearing his thoughts and allowing him to think clearly.

His thoughts gathered and organized now, Rocky began to seriously contemplate where his friend had disappeared to, and how to get him to come back. He had no doubt the collie had left because of the ache in his young heart because of Rocky's "death", which stimulated some pangs of guilt in Rocky's own heart. He was the reason behind all this, that much was certain. But how was he supposed to know where Eleftherios had gone? He knew Eleftherios knew Chattilan like the back of his hand (or paw, whatever), and he knew Eleftherios probably wasn't even thinking about where he was going. He probably was just walking, head down, through the pouring rain, crying tears of sadness as he padded slowly down the sidewalk.....

Rocky shook the depressing thought from his head, disturbing some of the pups around him as they continued to hug it out. He needed to stay focused on the problem, but apparently his friends- no, his family- thought he was the one having problems. He needed someone to really help him figure out what to do, and he actually knew two people whom he knew could stay focused when they needed to.

"Hey Zuma! Angelica! I need your help!" Rocky all of a sudden blurted out, confusing some and even making Marshall jump. "I, no, we need to find Elef ASAP, and I need two people I know I can trust to stay focused on our mission. The others in the room, minus Ryder surprisingly, looked hurt; they wanted to be able to feel trusted by the mixed breed, they were his teammates too besides. Now they all had slightly spread out from each other, encircling Rocky and thus breaking up the tender moment. Rocky stared each pup down as he waited for a response of some kind from someone.

"We'll go." Zuma said determinedly, holding Angelica's paw in his own. Both looked very ready for whatever they were about to take on. Rocky nodded in satisfaction and gratitude, to which Zuma and Angelica nodded back. "I'll come too." Marshall said, making everyone's heads turn in his direction. Rocky looked slightly annoyed; He had only called for Zuma and Angelica, no one else. "Marshall, I only really called on Zuma and-"

"No, Rocky! Don't you dare shut me down like that! Don't shut any of us down like that! Kay? We are your TEAMMATES!! Doesn't that mean anything to you!? We are here for you and Eleftherios, and I am coming with to help find him. No questions, no debate." The other pups howled at the rallying call the dalmatian had inadvertently delivered, eyes blazing with a fire to aid; the very reason why they were all chosen to be part of the PAW Patrol. Rocky just looked around at his friends, who were all fired up and ready to go; even Jax had gotten up and was reading to find the collie.

The mixed breed sighed as he glanced up to Ryder, knowing he couldn't talk them out of this one. They had their minds set and weren't backing out. His owner and leader nodded to him, giving Rocky the confidence he needed to begin formulating a plan to find Elef. "Alright then," Rocky breathes as all eyes attentively wait on him for orders, "let's rock this bitch."

...

"W-What am I-I supposed to do n-now? My whole family is gone! Where can I go? My l-l-life i-is ruined!" Eleftherios broke down into another fit of tears as he sat on the front step in front of Tobias and Lydia's front door, of the house they used to own.

Used to own. Those words reverberated inside his skull, numbing his feelings at the sudden recurring realization that he would never see either one of his owners ever again. They were dead. Deceased. Kaput. Never again to see the light of day, not even getting a proper funeral, their bodies probably sinking farther and farther down into the depths of the Mediterranean. He shook the thought from his head. He knew the only way to move on was to forget about his last and start anew. He couldn't look back; not now, not ever. His first real friend had died the day after he had met him, and now his owners had died in a plane crash over the sea. He had no one. He was alone.

He ran down the steps and the pavement squares leading to the front door, to the sidewalk still wet from the rain that still poored on his already soaked pelt. He cried, running blindly down the sidewalk and eventually turning into a nearby wooded area, not looking back as he said goodbye to the place and the people he had come to know and love.

"I am now one with the earth, bound to no one but nature itself." A famous quote came to mind, and it seemed to fit perfectly with the situation. He knew he wasn't supposed to turn around, but he had to. He turned, sunlight now streaming onto his face as he glanced back the way he had come. But what he was met with scared him. Trees. Nature. The Woods. Not Chatillan. He was lost now, and there was no turning back. Tears welled up again for what seemed like the millionth time that day as he turned back around and began running, whispering a single solitary word to the wind.

"Goodbye."

A/N Okay, so it technically took me a month to write this chapter. Why? Cause I was lazy at first, sick at the second, and in the hospital for a week for the third. (I am home now, the intro is slightly outdated. Oops.) I have seen that almost nobody but ShadowTRPR reads Quanta, so I am making an executive decision; either I discontinue the story, or I let Shadow take it over for me. Tell me what you think. If enough of you disagree and want me to keep doing it, that's okay too. Just please let me know. Apologies for like, never uploading. I doubt very many people even noticed though, so, ya know...lol. I have also officially decided that this chapter is the second last chapter of RGR. Next chapter WILL BE THE LAST! There will be a sequel though, but in the distant future. This chapter is the last you'll hear of Elef's side of the story though before the sequel, so, yeah. That's all. Sorry again, I don't blame you guys if nobody reads my stuff anymore; I admit I kinda ruined this story around chapter 7. K, now I'm done. Bye.

Oh, and as a special request from LP, remember to spread the chaos!
