"Siddharth, Siddharth, Siddharth" Everyone was cheering, "I love you Sid" someone said, "Take your shirt off" Someone shouted.... Everyone was cheering for a handsome man singing on stage. He was killing it with his performance. Fangirls were going crazy watching Greek God performing in front of them. His T-shirt was not able to hide is perfectly defined abs and he was very proud of it.

"Thank You Chicago" Siddharth said after finishing his performance and winked.

"Only for You Chicago" he said and ripped his tee off. Alla fangirls go crazy. And he gave flying kisses and winked again.

"Okay that's enough" Avneet said and switched her TV off.

"All these thirsty girls..." she thought burning in jealousy. "Thank God tickets were sold out. I would totally barf if I was there." she said and rolled her eyes.

Present.....

Avneet's pov...

I ran until I reached the school. I didn't know what to think. It was like a person I was with such long was someone else. Someone I didn't know. I couldn't help but... And I started crying.

Jann came running towards me..

"Avi are you OK?" she asked out of concerned.

"No, I am not. Nothing is OK Jan." I said weeping.

"We need to fix your mascara, you can tell me when we are at it." Jann said.

We went to washroom, she fixed my mascara.

"it's all good now look." she said

"Whatever" I said.

"What the hell? We've been prepping for this day from almost an year, you can't back out because of stupid guy. " She said angrily.

"I am feeling betrayed right now jan" I said rolling my eyes.

"I know, but I am not letting that stupid bastard cheater ruin this for you." Jan said.

"Think about it Avneet, it's good you found out about it before we started finding and applying for colleges. Now you can come to Chicago with me. Rohan won't be holding you back. And when we do go to Chicago, it will be you and me, taking over the world. " Jan said and winked. I know she is saying all these to cheer me up and distract me but trust me it's not working at all.

"You sound just like me right now." I said

"Well, someone has to be fun. So until Avneet makes her return, I am doing justice to her teachings." she said and chuckled.

Throughout these messy highschool years Jannat was the one thing I was grateful of. Ever since we met she was always there for me.

"Everything is looking so good this year." Jannat said as we saw the preparation for prom.

"I think you spoke too soon." I said as Priya and her friends came towards us.

"Where is your imaginary boyfriend? I guess he dumped you" she said and chuckled. Jan was about to say something when I cut her.

"I guess you have nothing better to do." I said

"Of course I have, guess who us in list of finalists of prom queen?she said flattering herself.

"Let me guess, Avneet is! " Jannat said and we both laughed.

"You have no chance of winning in that outfit." She said rolling her eyes. "Ciao losers" She said and winked. and went away.

"I was like minute away from dragging her by hairs good things we only have to tolerate her for one day" Jann said.

At prom night...

Everyone were dancing their asses off. Everyone was so happy finally school was over and we all are going to start new phase of our lives.

"Good evening Everyone." Principal mam said.

"I want all candidates for prom king and queen on stage." She announced.

And everyone was on stage. Ugh, why did I even sign up for this? I face palmed.

"This class has given me so much trouble, I am glad you are graduating." she said and everyone chuckled.

"All the girls standing on the stage have been a great asset to student community.
The initiative you have taken benefited whole class. I want to thank you for that. Today I can crown only one of you as winner, but trust me all of you are winners. The winner is Avneet Kaur." Principal ma'am announced. Everyone clapped and cheered. Specially jann she was dancing like crazy. She was much more happy than me. I smiled and wore crown. I can see Priya burning in jealousy.

Everyone was dancing. I was drinking, I needed a drink. Lot of things were going on.

"Here you are.... Finally it's over. I am so happy that you won. priya's face was...." And she kept speaking.

Suddenly I noticed Rohan who was looking for me. What this bastard is doing here?

"Avneet... I... I... I... Don't know where to start. Please here me out Avneet." he said like it will matter now. Last thing I wanna do us hear this pathetic ass out.

"What the hell do you want now.." Jann said. "As we all know high school is not your scene..." Jann said.

"It's OK Janna. I know you didn't mean to... " I said to him. "That's why-i wanted to give you something."

"I knew you would forgive me. You and I are meant to be..." he said cheekily.

I went close to him and kicked him right where it hurts...

"Awhhh" He groaned in pain.

"Right this is what you deserve. Good bye Rohan." I said and winked sassily.

After Graduation...

"Now come here we need to fill your form too." Jann said after she filled her form. I was sleeping on my bed wanting to do nothing but sleep.

"Is it weird that I just want to do nothing?" I said slowly.

"Shut the fuck up already, the deadline is tomorrow." Jannat said in bossy tone.

"Great then I will submit tommorrow" I said and closed my eyes.

"She has lost it,  I am gonna send application for her. You'll thank me later darling." Janna thought and filled Avu's form too.

After some days..
"Avneet Kaur  come out of your room right now." Her mom shouted.

"Why is everyone after me." I thought.

I went downstairs. Mom was standing there with some papers.

"What is it now mom?" I said lazily.

"I just wanted to tell you your excuses to sleep all day aren't gonna work longer." she said excitedly.

"Congrats Avneet your admission letter from University of Chicago is here." she said she was so happy that she hugged me tightly. I could say she was proud of me.

But I didn't even send in my application. How did I get in?

Suddenly Jannat came out of no where and hugged me.

"Avneet we are going to Chicago." she started cheering.
Jannat of course... How could I even forget?
