Chapter two
I sneak into ballet hoping that Madame Vivian won't see me and yell at me for being late. "Miss Zoë, explain your absence." Too bad. Mme Vivian has incredible hearing. She turns around and shrieks at a pitch I didn't know was possible. "Miss Zoë!!!!!!!! Your hair is purple!" She says purple as if it is a cuss word. "Oh really? I haven't noticed." I said with an extremely sarcastic tone. "I do NOT like the way you speak!Your parents are paying much money for you to go here and you are just asking to be kicked out of the spring performance! In fact, I am going to have you sit in the hall for the rest of class!" I knew she would say this, so I prepared a speech on the way over on my bike. "Well, Mme. Vivian, I checked with the studio's rule book and it says that if you force a student to do nothing for a class, you will be fired for the parents would be paying for their child to do nothing!" At this Mme. purses her lips. "Young lady." She said, her voice low and intimidating. "This is my dance class and I make the rules. If I want you to sit in the halls for class I will make you. You will listen to me and my rules. I-" At this moment my mom walked in. "Mme. Vivian?" she snapped. "Why were you threatening my daughter?" "Well I I I I wasn't!" "Yes you were! I am going to be taking my daughter out for the rest of class unless you have a strong reason for me not to!" "I don't but your daughter was correcting me in my rules. Her purple hair is not acceptable for a formal ballet class!" "Dance is all about expressing your self, Madame Vivian and her purple hair is expressing her self. Lets go, Zoë."
