A few days later, Aurora finally joins the others but she is clearly not herself and she won't even look at Rocket now as she sits in the cockpit alone and cries as he comes into the room and notices that she is clearly not happy and she says with a upset growl "Go away Rocket!" To which he answers "Still not any better I see." Then she reaches her breaking point and says "I heard you the other day! And you know I could so easily rid you of me!" Then she stomps out of the room and he says "Aurora that's not what I meant!" However she already reaches her room as she says "The way you said it the other day it certainly is!" Then she shuts her door and again begins to cut herself and now she cuts a pretty good size gash in her belly and also cuts her neck a little bit before she curls up in her bed which now has quite a bit of dried up blood on the sheets but she doesn't care and is totally unaware that Rocket followed her to her room and has picked up the smell of her blood (obviously since like all raccoons he has a very good sense of smell) and he says knowing something isn't right "Aurora let me in! Right now!" But she says in an angry voice "Leave me alone!" But moments later Rocket uses his claw and manages to unlock the door before he comes into her room and he says "Look at me Aurora!" But Aurora turns her back to him, trying to cover up her wounds from when she has been cutting herself and he says "Aurora I said look at me!" But she says in an angry voice "No!" So he jumps on the bed and growls "Let me see!" However Aurora refuses to turn over to face him and he says "Aurora!" Before he picks up the smell of her blood again, this time faintly coming  from the closet and opens it to find at least four swords covered in her blood and he says "Aurora, did you?" But Aurora doesn't answer him afraid that he will be more mad at her but he says figuring that out "Aurora I am not going to get mad, I want you to be honest with me! Have you been cutting yourself?" And she nods before he says to her "Show me the wounds, Right now!" And she finally rolls over to face him and reveals her slit arms, wrists, belly and neck and he says with horror "Why?" But she says as she tears up "Because I figured you didn't want me around anymore!" Then he answers as he lays next to her "Aurora, that isn't true, I never said that!" Then that night, while everyone else is asleep Aurora once again sneaks onto the ship she took the other night and again goes to Halfworld, thirsty for more blood but determined not to hurt anyone she cares about and when she reaches Halfworld she lands and immediately begins to hunt for victims and it isn't long before she again drains one raccoon of it's blood and then continues to look for more and after a few hours of drinking blood from at least five other raccoons after the first one she leaves and heads back to Ashyke unaware that while she was away, one of Nightstalker's wolves has given Rocket the exact same injection but it won't effect Rocket as much as the one that Nightstalker gave Aurora (which has yet to kick into the next stage) and has now turned him for the most part into a temporary vampire-raccoon just like Aurora. Aurora has no idea of this until a while after she returns when he comes into her room and Aurora says noticing that Rocket's eyes are the same way as her's look before she drinks and she says realizing this isn't the Rocket she loves, this is a Rocket who's been completely put under control by the same drug she has been and she says a bit nervously "R-Rocket what are you doing?" To which he answers "Oh my sweet Aurora, I've come to see you." But Aurora says to herself "Rocket no, not you too!" As she realizes all Rocket is trying to do is subdue her and make her vulnerable to him so she says "Rocket you need to snap out of it! This isn't you!" However, he says in a seductive voice "Yes it is Sweetheart, you just haven't seen this side of me before!" But she says as she gets out of her bed knowing that he would want her there so he can easily drink from her "Rocket listen to me, someone gave you the exact same drug that Nightstalker gave me a few weeks ago, you need to fight it before it forces you to do something you will regret for the rest of your life!" As she realizes that the drug is making Rocket act just like he was before they began to fight a lot in order to make Aurora more compliant. He though having no idea of this says to her "Aurora, just come to me, I'm not here to hurt you!" As he suddenly approaches closer to her and gently grabs hold of her face with his finger, forcing her to look into his handsome chocolate brown eyes "That's it, now, get onto your bed!" But Aurora manages to break the compulsion Rocket tries to put her in and says "No Rocket! You don't want my blood! One taste of it and you won't stop until I'm dead!" He then looks at her puzzled as he says "What are you talking about? I may want a little blood but I didn't say I wanted to kill you my dear." Then she says to him "Do you know where I go at night and why I slip away from here?" But he shakes his head as she continues "I slip away so I don't hurt any of you and I go to Halfworld, especially nights  after you and I have fights and I end up drinking blood from raccoons there and regret it after the drug no longer has any control over me!" "I don't want you to accidentally kill me and then snap out of the trance the drug has you under and find me dead and feel nothing but regret the rest of your life knowing you were the one who killed me!" After this he says "Oh come on Babe, I am not going to kill you!" As she realizes he has her slowly but surly creeping towards her bed and she says "Rocket!" "Rocket no!" However, Rocket manages to bite her but only drinks a little bit before he snaps out of the drug's control but still not before he makes Aurora a little bit scared and he says looking at her with confusion having no idea what he just tried to do but seeing her looking at him with a little bit of fright "Aurora what's wrong?" But then it hits him just like memories of Aurora's kills haunt her and he says "Aurora did I?" And Aurora nods and he says to her "I-I'm so sorry Aurora, I-I don't know what came over me." Then Aurora explains to him since she doesn't blame him since she has had these same exact feelings before "It's okay Rocky, someone gave you the same injection Nightstalker gave me, it makes you have a un-uncontrollable thirst for blood, trust me I know all about it." Then she explains to him how she's been hunting on Halfworld at night and he says "Why?" To which she replies "Because no matter the thirst I am able to control myself enough to leave and hunt somewhere else to avoid harming any of you, you, Gamora, Eclipse, Stardust, Quill, Groot and Drax are the only thing close to family I have left, yes I know Eclipse and Stardust are actually my sisters but still I consider the rest of you my family as well and the kits as well since they are, for that reason and for your safety especially until we find a cure for both of us, I have decided that tomorrow I am going to leave you guys, at least until I can find a cure." Rocket however objects and says with anger and worry "No! Absolutely not!" She though replies to him "Rocket I need to do this! Please! I've already asked Quill about it (she asked him about going to find a cure a few days ago and he agreed to it) and he told me I could go!" But Rocket growls "I won't let you! Who knows what threats are out there! You could get killed all alone!" She however says "Rocket, I don't want to suffer like this and I defiantly don't want you to suffer either! I will find a cure strong enough for both of us and I will come back to you! I promise!" He still is reluctant to let her do this and says "No Aurora! I don't want to lose you!" Then she says to him "You won't! I promise!" After this Rocket growls "No Aurora!" She though replies to him "Please Rocket! Let me do this! For both of us, this drug may be the reason we are fighting so much, not only because it made me act so differently but now it will do the same to you! I don't want Aaliyah, Lily, Victoria, Rocco, Zoey, Robin, Raven and Blazer to see us like this!" Rocket then reluctantly agrees and says "But you better damn well contact me if you need help, if you need to press the button or radio me with your necklace." Aurora then replies to him "Don't worry Rocket! I will!" Then the sun begins to rise and she says to him "I-I have to go, before the others wake up." He then kisses her just like he used to and says after they kiss for a long moment "Go and please be safe." Then Aurora says "Goodbye Rocket, I love you!" To which he answers even though he hasn't said anything like this to her in quite some time now "I love you more." And in response she smiles before she goes to board the ship she usually takes to Halfworld.
