After the Guardians land, they head out of the ship and argue a bit more before Rocket says "Do you know why I did it Star Munch?" As he glares at Peter and Peter says "I'm not going to answer to Star Munch." So Rocket says "I did it because I wanted to, what are we even talking about this for? We just had a little man save us by blowing up fifty ships!" So Drax says "How little?" To which Rocket answers as he squints a bit and holds his hand so that there is a little space between two fingers "Sort of like this." And an annoyed Gamora says "A little one inched man saved us?" And Aurora says for Rocket "Well, we are sure if he got any closer, he would be much larger, I saw him too, Rocket isn't lying!" Then Peter says to both of them "That's how eye sight works you stupid raccoons!" And Rocket says defensively for both of them "Don't call us raccoons!" And Peter says in a snarky voice "I'm sorry guys, I took it to far, I meant Trash Pandas." So Rocket and Aurora look at everyone a bit confused and Rocket says "Is that better?" But Aurora starts to growl already knowing that it too is an insult to them while Drax says "I don't know." So Peter says smiling a bit "It's worse, it's so much worse." And Rocket and Aurora lunge at him a bit threateningly before Aurora stomps off in anger leaving the others including Rocket looking at her confused but it doesn't take Rocket long to realize that there may be something more to the way she stomped off then just a little anger and he goes after her but not before he says to Peter "If you've done worse things to her then just a minor insult I'm going to kill you Quill!" And then he runs after her, and finds her sobbing with her tail around herself and also shaking a little and he says "Aurora, Babe, it's just me." But Aurora, still upset doesn't respond at first and he says "Let me guess, Devante used to call you that disgusting word as an insult quite a bit, didn't he?" And Aurora nods before she looks to him, tears running down her face "Yes, and every time I hear that word it brings back horrible memories that I would rather forget, that word right there hurts me more then any other word could just because of that, just like how you hate it when someone calls you." But she stops not wanting to say the word incase it angers him but he surprisingly says it for her calmly, knowing all too well the word she means "Vermin!" And she nods still crying a little and he says as he wraps his tail around her and holds her close "Shhh, it's okay Auri, you've got me, I would never, ever call you something like that." And she says as she finally stops crying "I know you won't." Then in reply he says "Come on, let's get back to the ship." Moments later, they return to the rest of the group and Gamora comes up to them and says to Aurora "I'm sorry Aurora, until now I was the only one who had any clue what that word would make you do, I should have stopped Peter before he went too far." And Aurora says as she looks to Gamora "It's okay Gamora, Rocky and I talked it out." So Gamora nods and suddenly, an egg like ship lands nearby the Milano and then reveals a mysterious man along with a mysterious alien looking girl and Peter says to the strange man "Who the hell are you?" To which the mysterious man says back "My name is Ego, and I'm your dad Peter." That night the Guardians along with Ego and the young alien looking girl who the group has learned is named Mantis talk and while Peter is busy talking with Ego, Aurora and Rocket are both busy grooming their fur as they sit next to each other as Mantis and Drax are talking and suddenly, she says "Aww, they are both adorable, can I pet them?" And Drax giggles and says "Sure" and Mantis goes to pet Aurora and Rocket and Aurora allows her to gently pet her but when she goes to pet Rocket he just about bites her and Drax laughs but Aurora says "Rocky, that wasn't very nice of you!" And Rocket says "Aurora, I don't like to be pet by strangers, or by many people at all except you and you know that!" And Aurora says "I'm sorry, my boyfriend is a bit, aggressive when it comes to strangers." And Mantis giggles before she says "It's okay." And Aurora says kindly introducing herself "I am Aurora and this is my boyfriend, Rocket." So Mantis says as she gently shakes Aurora's hand "Nice to meet you Aurora." And then she smiles at Rocket so she doesn't make him feel uncomfortable and she says "Nice to meet you Rocket."
The next morning Peter, Gamora and Drax leave with Ego and Mantis to learn more about him while Aurora, Rocket and Baby Groot stay behind to fix the Milano and guard Nebula so she doesn't escape and after setting up traps incase any possible enemies comes after them, Rocket and Aurora take some time alone to bond and Rocket says "You know, you really are one of the most talented girls when it comes to setting up traps I know of." And Aurora says blushing as Rocket leans in just a bit "Thanks." And Rocket says smiling "Your welcome" before he gently kisses her. And eventually, the two love birds find a spot deep in the woods with no interruptions where they can go to make out quite a bit more and they find an empty den that is big enough to fit both of them and then once inside, Rocket and Aurora make love until the sun goes down.
