Warning, from this chapter on their will be some events from Volume 2 included in this story. If you haven't seen the movie yet (which I'm going to assume most of you have by now) please come back and read this once you've seen the movie.

A few months later, Aurora, Rocket, Peter, Gamora, Drax and Baby Groot are on a mission to protect batteries for the Soevereign from a inter-dimensional monster as requested by the Soevereign leader Ayesha and Rocket is busy fixing a speaker so the Guardians can listen to music while they fight as originally requested by Peter and Peter says "Okay guys it should be here soon." And then he turns to Rocket, Aurora and Baby Groot and watches as Baby Groot pushes around small lizard-like creatures and Rocket and Aurora glare at him so Baby Groot says trying to sound a bit angry "I am Groot." And Rocket says "They were not looking at you funny." Then Aurora says "Baby Groot please chill out." And then Peter notices Rocket fixing the speaker and  he says "Rocket we don't need that." However Rocket says "You just said you wanted to listen to music while we fight this thing." So Peter answers "Well I changed my mind." And Rocket sighs before continuing to argue with Peter and Peter says "No, seriously." And Rocket says winking a bit "I understand that, your being very serious." And Peter says "Dude!" And Rocket confused says "What?" "What did I say?" So Peter responds "No dude, your wink." Which Rocket answers back with "What, I'm using my left eye?" And the others nod but then Aurora says flirting with him "But it doesn't matter which eye you wink with handsome, because quite frankly to me, you are cute and sexy when you do that." And he smiles at her right before the monster arrives and right away they all begin fighting it, minus Baby Groot who is busy dancing and Peter says trying to warn him "Baby Groot, watch out." Before he gets pushes back by the monster's huge tentacle and Baby Groot continues dancing while Gamora is shooting the monster close by and she says "Baby Groot get out of the way, your gonna get hurt!" But he waves to her so she says kindly "Hi." Before jumping back into the fight and as the other Guardians continue fighting the monster, Baby Groot continues his little dance but then freezes once he notices Drax is watching him before he too jumps back into the fight and next, Baby Groot begins chasing little bug-like creatures and manages to catch one in his mouth but both Rocket and Aurora notice and land beside him for a moment and Rocket says as he kneels down to Baby Groot's level "Spit it out!" "Come on!" And Aurora pats him on the back and he eventually spits it out and once Rocket and Aurora notice what was in his mouth they both say at the same time "Disgusting!" Before they too turn back to fight the monster. Eventually, after a long fight, the Guardians are able to kill the monster and while no one is looking, Rocket steals some of the batteries himself and lays them in his bag. After this they meet with Ayesha and she awards the Guardians by giving them Nebula, Gamora's "sister" to take as a prisoner and after Rocket insults the Sovereign a bit the gang decide it best to leave the system and as they head out Rocket says laughing in Aurora's and Drax's ears "Hey, you wanna buy some batteries." As he reveals the batteries in his bag and Aurora says jokingly "Rocket you may be smart and the hottest guy I know but you can sometimes be such an asshole too." And he says joking with her "I know" as Drax laughs with them. And then the gang board the Milano and begins to take off when Peter notices a Sovereign fleet approaching them from behind and he says "That's weird, there's a Sovereign fleet approaching from the rear." And Gamora says "Why would they do that?" Which causes Drax to call out the answer as he says "Maybe because Rocket stole some of their batteries." And Rocket says angrily "Dude!" While Aurora says angered as well by this "Drax!" And the Sovereign begin shooting at the Milano as Peter says "What were you thinking?" So Rocket says in defense "What they were really easy to steal!" So Gamora says angry as well "That's your defense!?" And Rocket answers "Oh come on, you saw how that High-Priestess talked down to us so now I'm teaching her a lesson!" And after a few minutes of bickering, the Guardians finally turn their attention back to the fleet and fight back, Rocket and Peter making arguments along the way and Aurora and Gamora look at each other as they roll their eyes and Gamora says "Rocket is your boyfriend Rora, so maybe you could convince him to stop this nonsense?" But Aurora shakes her head and says "Sorry Mora but I'm staying out of this one." Moments later, Baby Groot climbs onto her chair and sits on her lap and Aurora says "They are being a bit obnoxious aren't they?" And Baby Groot nods to her before he squeezes himself in beside her so he can be buckled up with her so he doesn't get hurt and just to make extra sure, Aurora puts her furry arm around Baby Groot just so he defiantly won't slide off the seat and get hurt and Gamora says "You would make a good mother someday Aurora, you are doing everything a mother would do for their baby with Baby Groot and are making sure he doesn't get hurt, that is something a mother must learn to do." And Aurora says smiling back to her "Thanks Gamora, I guess it's just in my nature to watch over little ones likes this, I probably get it from my mother and it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case." And then she turns to Baby Groot and sees him nestled up near her side and smiles at him before she is interrupted by Rocket who says as he looks back to her "Are you doing okay babe? Quill's not flying the ship to rough for you is..." But he stops as he looks and sees Baby Groot nestled next to Aurora and he says "Ah, Babe, what is this?" And she laughs as she replies "He sort of climbed up here himself, I'm just making sure he doesn't get hurt." Then suddenly, the Sovereign fleet randomly explodes until Rocket and Aurora spot a man waving at them just as they reach their destination to hide out.
