Kirishima's POV
Imagine going a whole week without doing anything stupid and having to wake up super early to record a music video. Kirishima was not enjoying his time right now and he still hasn't gotten to work on most of the songs.
Kirishima let out a tired groan as he got up from his bed and rubbed his eyes. He walked into the bathroom with a tired pout and with his shoulders slumped down.
He made sure to brush his teeth and take a shower before changing into his clothes and heading out of his house. He glanced down at his phone when it began to vibrate and shine the contact name, 'Pinky'. He tapped onto the green answer button and held the phone up to his ear. "What's up?"
"Hey Ei! I'm on my way and Sero told me that today were finally recording with Jirou and your boyfriend!"
"Not my boyfriend."
"Yeah okay, anyways" Mina chuckled out, "I'm pretty sure today should be the last day we have to record, so hallelujah!"
Kirishima raised an eyebrow as he started his car and pulled on his seatbelt. "Honestly I'm hella excited to see how it all comes together."
"Me too! Me too! I hope I look hot."
Kirishima snorted as he started to drive. "Yeah yeah, I'm sure you'll look decent."
"Damn, just decent? I'm offended you think so lowly of me."
"Hey decent isn't a bad thing."
"It's not as good as being called hot though."
"You're so stubborn, has Bakugou's personality been rubbing off on you?"
Mina gasped into the phone. "You dare insult me and Blasty at the same time?!"
"Correction, Blasty and I, is how it's supposed to be said-"
"Since when do you use grammar?! Oh my God, ima kick yo ass when I see you, just you wait."
Kirishima went to refute, but was interrupted by the phone beeping, signaling Mina had hung up before he had a chance to ask for forgiveness.
Kirishima let out a breathy laugh as he placed his phone down in the cup-holder. "Starting my day off right I guess."
_____
The sound of the car doors being locked echoed throughout the parking garage and Kirishima began to sip on his vanilla iced coffee as he made his way into the building.
He opened the door only to be welcomed with, "Why the fUCK do you put salt on oranges?!"
Okay that's a weird conversation, but Kirishima's face lit up at the sound of Bakugou's voice.
"Dude, it tastes so good! Just try it!" Denki shouted as he shoved a salt covered slice of orange in Bakugou's face.
"Don't even try and put that shit in my mouth dunceface!" Bakugou yelled back as he slapped Denki's hand.
"Bro! You're so mean to me!"
A gentle smile pulled on Kirishima's lips as he walked over to join the group. "Hey guys! Sorry for interrupting your uh.. debate."
Bakugou looked over with a glare and let out a grumble. "It's not a debate, he's just fucking stupid."
"Eijirou make him stop being a big meanie." Denki pouted over at him, receiving a death glare from Bakugou.
"Ah he's not mean, just has a more special way of saying things." Kirishima spoke with a small shrug.
"Shut up."
Kirishima leaned his coffee towards the angry blonde, "That means 'how interesting, tell me more' in Bakugou language."
"You fucking wish, dumb hair!"
The group let out small laughs as Kirishima began to walk away, "I'm gonna go get ready, see ya dance partner." He gave a small wink at Bakugou, as a joke totally not a flirty wink, nope not at all. But he did notice Jirou lightly elbow Bakugou with a smirk on her face.
He stepped into the room that had all the makeup and costume supplies and was surprised when he saw Yamada and Aizawa oddly close to each other. He raised an eyebrow at the two as they slightly jumped away from one another. "Am I interrupting-"
"Heyo kiddo!" Yamada slapped a hand down on Kirishima's shoulder and pulled him more into the room. "Just now coming in to get ready? Your awfully behind everyone else." He changed the subject.
"Ah, yeah got held back in traffic. Did Aoyama leave already?" Kirishima tilted his head, but glanced at Aizawa a few times, attempting to read his almost embarrassed expression.
"Nope! I'm pretty sure he went to go get some food," Yamada guided him over and forcefully made him sit in one of the chairs. "so why don't you wait here for him and I'm gonna help out Eraserhead-"
"I prefer my actual name."
"-with uh putting together some ideas for a uhhh collaboration! Okay stay safe kid."
Kirishima went to speak, but Yamada had already pushed Aizawa out of the room and closed the door.
"Ohh-kayyyy then." He sighed out as he let himself relax back into the chair before shaking his head.
'They were totally gonna kiss or something.'
Kirishima let a small laugh escape past his lips as he pulled out his phone and scrolled through a few social media posts. He enjoyed going through art and edits people had made of him and the band, since people spent their time and hardwork on their creation it was only fair that people could at least appreciate them.
He had gone through a bunch of them before he heard the door open up.
"Bonjour!"
Kirishima looked over at the now open door that Aoyama had walked in from. "Hey man!"
"You both are fucking cringey."
Kirishima tilted his head a bit and looked a bit to the side to see Bakugou following in.
"Your friends are stupid and annoying, so i'm fuckin staying in here to get away from the.."
"That's cool, you get to see Aoyama in action." He flashed a smile as Bakugou slumped down in the other chair. "Also I'm assuming you need to change your outfit anyways and honestly while you're here, you should do something with that messy hair of yours." Kirishima lightly kicked up his leg and tapped Bakugou's knee with the tip of his shoe.
"Fuck off, your hair looks like you just fell out of bed." Bakugou said, kicking the other back but with a bit more force.
Kirishima looked at his own hair in the mirror. He had left it down that day and honestly, it did look like a mess. "Well, yours looks like an explosion."
"Die."
A small laugh came bubbling out of both Aoyama and Kirishima, and Bakugou gave them both glares that were possibly sharper than a knife.
"What are you laughing at you fucking croissant?" Bakugou snarled.
Kirishima had let out a wheeze at the insult. Out of all the insults in the world, Bakugou calls him a crossiant.
"Croissants are frankly quite nice. Also you're saying it wrong." Aoyama was facing away from the both of them as he set up a few makeup and hair supplies.
"The fuck do you mean I'm saying it wrong?" Bakugou crossed his arms, glaring at the back of Aoyama's head.
"You're adding a 't' at the end."
"It's fucking spelled with one."
Kirishima started to calm his laughter, but a smile was still wide on his face. "Yeah dude, but you don't say it."
"And your saying the 'R' too roughly." Aoyama added as he walked over and began to brush out and style Kirishima's hair.
"You're just fucking extra."
"Bro just try, I promise it's easy." Kirishima looked at him with a smile and honestly he just wanted to hear Bakugou fail at saying it.
"I'm saying it right, you're the one saying it wrong." He scoffed.
"Too scared to try and pronounce bro?" Kirishima smirked.
"Why the fuck would I be scared?! You're so fucking weird, just-" he paused and shook his head. "Tell me how to fucking say it."
Aoyama pronounced it again and Bakugou took a few seconds to finally give in and attempt. "Fucking, 'cossan'."
Aoyama and Kirishima had bursted into laughter at his failed attempt, sadly for Bakugou he had already begun to get flustered over the other two laughing their lungs out.
"STOP LAUGHING YOU IDIOTS!"
But Kirishima was already hugging his stomach and leaning over, unable to attempt stopping his laughs. "Co- Cossan!" Kirishima repeated with a wheeze.
"Fuck off! I'm leaving!" Bakugou yelled as he stood up from his seat, embarrassed and grumpy.
"Nonono! Wait okay, please!" Kirishima grabbed his arm as he forced his laughs down, a few chuckles still coming out. "Here you can even have some of my coffee, just stay and I'll shut up."
Bakugou glared down at his convincing smile before aggressively grabbing the other's coffee and sitting back down. "Iced coffee fucking sucks."
Kirishima hummed softly and rubbed his cheeks from the pain of having such a wide smile. "Yeah, but I like it that way."
_______
"One and two and three and-"
Kirishima listened to the counts and followed along with the choreography he had learned.
Dancing wasn't hard for him, but wasn't necessarily easy. He could do the dance, but looked too stiff and not confident enough.
"Four and five and six-"
He was practicing with Bakugou for the first time in a while and although it was comfortable in a way, he still got a bit nervous.
Bakugou was obviously good-looking, but now? Oh God, now his hair was only slightly gelled back to reveal his forehead and Kirishima was adoring it.
"And seven and eight and-"
He let out a sigh once they finished another round of practice. They've got it down pretty well except the parts where Kirishima needed to loosen up a little and the parts where Bakugou would aggressively kick or punch Kirishima for stepping on his foot.
"Think you're ready to record, boys?" The choreographer asked with a smile as she handed them both a water bottle.
"As long as this dumbass doesn't step on my feet for the the hundredth time." Bakugou grumbled before chugging down more than half of the water bottle.
"Hey! I wouldn't step on your feet if they weren't in the way." Kirishima refuted with a teasing grin, slowly opening his given water bottle.
Bakugou side glared him as he drank the water, probably mentally wishing he could somehow hurt people with just a glare.
"Come on man lighten up a bit!" Kirishima chuckled out before gently punching the other's shoulder. "Our dance is gonna be far more cooler than the others."
"Of course our dance is fucking better you idiot." Bakugou wiped the water of his lips before starting to walk out of the room and towards the main area where the other's were recording.
Kirishima waved at the lady with a smile as he followed behind Bakugou. "Thank you for all the help!" Which was responded with a light wave and a 'no problem.'
He had to slightly jog to catch up to Bakugou and when he did he made sure to flash a big grin. "How's the movie coming along?"
"You always ask that." The blonde grumbled.
"Cause you always have something new to say about it and I'm super excited for it to start showing in theaters! I'll totally buy my ticket as soon as I can."
Bakugou let out a 'tch' and shoved his hands in his pockets. It was quiet for a few of their footsteps to be heard before he finally responded, "Why fucking buy tickets when you can just see it at the movie premiere?"
Kirishima was a bit stunned with a shocked look on his face, but it slowly faded into a smile. "Wh- dude, you never invited me to the movie premiere!"
"You're making music for it so you and the stupid band are obviously invited to the stupid premiere!" He looked away from the other, somehow shoving his hands deeper into his pockets.
"Ah well thanks Bakugou!" He wrapped his arm over his shoulders and slightly pulled him into a side hug. "Then I can't wait to watch it with everyone at the movie premiere!"
"Alright now get off of me dumbass." Bakugou pulled away a bit, but didn't make much of a fight so Kirishima kept his arm on his shoulder until he jumped ahead to open the door that lead to the set.
Bakugou rolled his eyes, but walked inside anyways. "Thanks dipshit." he mumbled.
Kirishima smiled more, "No problem!"
Mina and Jirou were sitting on a small couch as Denki and Hanta were recording their part of the dance. As Kirishima watched the two dancing, he got more and more excited to do his dance with Bakugou.
They had covered the floor with colorful powders, so that when they danced or kicked their feet up, they would send the powders flying up into the air which would create more effect, somehow.
He looked away from the boys and over to the girls as he and Bakugou neared closer to them. He could tell Jirou and Mina had already danced because of the small spots of colorful powder that covered them.
Mina looked up from her phone with her usual big grin. "There you gays are."
Bakugou stiffened up a bit, but Kirishima just let out a chuckle as he sat down. "How was the dancing?"
Jirou's eyes seemed to light up, "Oh it was hella fun, it's like you're telling a story with every little move."
Bakugou sat down with a small scoff, "You're literally just dancing, stop being sappy."
Jirou raised a middle finger over at Bakugou, but kept a small and gentle smile on her face as she spoke with Kirishima. "You'll see what I mean, as long as you focus on the music."
~~
The time soon came for Bakugou and Kirishima to get their part recorded and he was getting a bit nervous.
The dance took a lot of emotion and at times he would have to get super close to Bakugou's face, which sent his heart beating faster than he could ever imagine it going.
"Don't step on my feet, shitty hair." Bakugou grumbled as he grabbed Kirishima's hand and got into their beginning stance.
"No promises."
The lights dimmed before Bakugou could argue and the music began to play a few seconds before their dance part so that they could easily jump into the dance once the part came.
"Okay boys, chin up."
And in the beat of a second they broke away fron each other.
Broken was the first emotion. He grabbed his heart in agony, feeling like the emotion was just as painful as a stab through the chest causing him to stumble.
He threw his arm back one at a time with as much force as he could while backing up and stopping when he felt Bakugou's back against his own.
//I am finished with you.//
He turned around to face the other and he felt the other's hand close around his. He quickly pulled his hand away and backed up, but Bakugou almost angrily followed his steps keeping them close together before reaching up and grabbing the collar of his white button-up and pulling Kirishima as close as he could.
Kirishima gave in and their fingers intertwined with one hand on Bakugou's shoulder while he leaned into the one placed on his hip. He followed the other's lead, luckily not accidentally stepping of his feet this time.
After a few steps it was Bakugou who pulled away.
//You're killing me, killing me.//
And Kirishima more than willingly chased after him, grabbing his hips and pulling him until their bodies collided.
//All I wanted was you.//
Then he was pushed away again and it continued just like that. Pushing, pulling, running, multiple frantic decisions, not knowing what each other wanted.
Bakugou's arm wrapped around him and he slowly intertwined his fingers with Kirishima's once again. They made eye contact for a second.
Or maybe two seconds.
Kirishima didn't know how long, but he knew in just those few seconds he could really see how bright Bakugou's eyes were and he could see how Bakugou was searching for an answer, wanting to know the full story behind the song. They were also awfully close to each other and Kirishima could feel their breath colliding, but it wasn't long before they broke apart.
Kirishima crossed his legs and spun, their arms unraveling with each spin, slowly, but fast at the same time.
It was a goodbye.
He spun multiple times, four times to be exact and with each spin he stepped further away.
After his last spin he dropped down on one knee, his hand smacking onto the ground with it. He was facing away and couldn't see Bakugou, but somehow he knew they dropped down perfectly in sync.
//What if I wanted to break?//
____________
Bakugou's POV
"Can we go get food? I'm so hungry and there's no way in hell I'm eating instant ramen again, I've been eating it everyday." Kaminari whined out as he took off his blazer.
"I'm in the mood for some American food if I'm being honest." Jirou recommended.
"American sounds good, but am I the only one who's noticed the powder hand print on Denki's ass?" Ashido asked as they all walked down to where their casual clothes were left.
Sero raised his hand with a laugh. "Yeah that was my bad."
"Hanta!" Kaminari squeaked out before reaching over and slapping his shoulder while the rest of the group laughed, even Bakugou let out a small laugh, but it was one that was quiet enough to go unnoticed.
Once everyone grabbed their clothes they split up into different rooms to change, deciding to meet back up in the parking lot so they could all get food together.
Bakugou let out a content groan as he stretched, happy that he was back in his more comfortable clothing. He made sure he had all of his stuff before heading out of the room and into the parking garage. He scanned around to check if anyone had made it there before him and noticed Ashido, Aizawa, Yamada and Jirou standing by one of their cars.
"Looks like Bakugou gets fifth place." Jirou said as she leaned against the back of a truck.
"Since when were these old fucks joining?" Bakugou spoke as he walked over to them.
"Since we ran into the two of them in the hallway." Ashido shrugged with a smile and peeked over to the side, "And there's our three final contestants all tied up in last place."
Everyone looked over as Kaminari, Kirishima, and Sero entered the parking lot.
"Denki got his head stuck in his shirt sleeve so we had to help." Kirishima said as he let the door close after holding it open for the other two.
"I did not!"
