"We say we're friends," I sing along to the track playing, lifting my hands above my head.

"We play pretend," Charlie sings, lacing his fingering through mine.

"You're more to me," I sing; Charlie moves our hands down, wrapping me into his embrace.

"We create," Charlie spins me around, so our faces are inches apart; I lean my forehead on his just like we rehearsed, closing my eyes.

"The perfect harmony," I finished the song, leaning in closer, so our lips were inches apart; Charlie did the same; I placed my hand on the back of his head, our lips almost touching when Kenny yells cut.

"And cut," Kenny yells, clapping his hands together excitedly, "Charlie, Aubrey, that was fantastic." I smile at Kenny thankfully, moving out of Charlie's arms; we had been working all day perfecting this scene; it felt really good to be done for the day. "That's a wrap on perfect harmony, everyone!" Everyone in the crew cheered; this scene was definitely my most physically exhausting and the one I was most nervous about filming; it was such a pivotal scene in Luke and Lena's relationship, I wanted it to be perfect.

"Our song is gonna be in a TV show," Charlie exclaimed, holding both of his hands out for me to high-five; typically, I would have just left him hanging, but I was too excited; I slapped his hands happily, smiling brightly at him.

"That's crazy," I agreed, moving to grab my water from the other side of the set; Charlie followed behind, grabbing his bottle from its spot next to mine.

"So," He began, taking a chug from his bottle, "what are your plans for the rest of the evening?" It almost sounded like he was nervous at first, but I quickly pushed that idea away; why would he be nervous? That makes no sense.

"Probably just gonna watch Netflix with Lilly and Sav," I shrugged; between Aiden, busy filming schedules, and rehearsals, the three of us hadn't had a night together in a while; it was long overdue. "What about you? Anything exciting happening as casa Owen and Charlie?"

"Oh, you know the usual," He shrugged, smiling down at me goofily, "Probably gonna have a nerf battle with the nerf guns we bought."

"Wow," I chuckle, shaking my head in amusement, "sounds exhilarating."

"I think Owen has an early call time tomorrow, though," He answers honestly, "so I'll probably just watch something." For some reason, I feel bad that Charlie is spending his evening alone, which is weird; I've never felt bad for him before.

"Do you wanna come to my place?" I asked him; I cringe as soon as the words come out of my mouth, but Charlie just smiles, nodding his head, "That way, we can work on our plan," I add, hoping to make the situation less awkward.

"Oh, right," He nods, chuckling awkwardly, "our plan."

"I'm just gonna get changed, but I'll meet you there?" I asked; considering we both took separate vehicles to work, it wouldn't make sense to drive home together.

"Yeah," He nods, biting his lip as he smiles, "I'll see ya there." As I turn and walk towards my trailer, I can't help but hold my hand up to my burning cheeks. It was hot in there, I remind myself, brushing off the thoughts that began to flood my mind, that's all.

30 minutes later

"Roomies," I call out excitedly, shutting the door behind me, "I'm home." Once I enter the living room area, I find both of my roommates and Charlie, setting up the apartment for a movie night.

"Hi," Lilly waved excitedly; her arms full of junk food, "you didn't tell us Charlie was coming over," She said; but neither of them seemed to be bothered by his presence; if anything, they were more excited to have another one of our friends join movie night. "How was filming?"

"Exhausting," I answer, flopping onto the couch dramatically, "but I think it went really well."

"I can't wait to see it," Savannah said, sitting on the other side of me, "Do you film tomorrow?"

"Yeah," Charlie answered, placing his arm behind me on the couch, "the perfect harmony scenes in the garage."

"When's your next band performance," Lilly asked, sitting on the other side of Charlie; I chuckled lightly; Lilly had slowly become the biggest fan of our fictional band. She and Jadah never stopped dancing during bright; unfortunately, to Lilly's dismay, the last few musical numbers hadn't involved Kiara.

"A little over a week," I answer, glancing over at Charlie for confirmation.

"Yeah," He nods, "the fourteenth, I'm pretty sure."

"Wait," Savannah clapped her hands together excitedly; I cringed, closing my eyes; I had hoped that due to how busy everyone's schedule was, they'd forget about it, "isn't that your birthday?" I nodded slowly.

"You didn't tell me your birthday was coming up?" Charlie frowned; he seemed genuinely disappointed that I hadn't told him.

"It's not a big deal," I shrug.

"Not a big deal?" Lilly mimicked, shaking her head, "are you kidding? Of course, it is."

"We have to do something?" Savannah nodded in agreement; I see the wheels turning in their minds; if there was one thing Sav and Lilly loved more than anything, it was throwing a good party.

"It's okay, seriously," I reassure them; I knew whatever party they threw would be amazing, but that wasn't me, "We can just have a quiet night in or something." I could see both Sav and Lilly wanted to object, but before they could, Charlie spoke.

"Can I plan it?" He asked; I turned to face him to see if he was being serious or not; his eyes connected with mine, no ounce of teasing in them, "It'll be small and casual," He reassured, "but you shouldn't have to plan it yourself; Savannah and Lilly can help me." I glance at both girls to see how they feel about his plan, chuckling lightly at how rapidly they nodded their heads.

"Okay," I sigh, giving in, "but nothing too big, please; we're all probably gonna be tired after shooting."

"You're gonna love it, trust me." He said; I nodded, and for some crazy reason, I did trust him, "okay so what are we watching?"
