"Kiss her," Lilly screamed at the TV, clapping her hands together; Savannah clapped too on the edge of her seat; while I kept my gaze focused on the screen, intently watching the scene between my boyfriend and I. While I was extremely grateful to have someone to watch the premiere with, I had imagined watching our show for the first time differently; seeing him on the screen only made me wish he was here more than usual. I was broken away from my thoughts when both Savannah and Lilly squealed; Luke and Elena had just finished confessing their feelings, now sharing their first kiss.

"You okay, Bree?" Savannah asked me, noticing I hadn't joined in on their squealing like I had been doing for the rest of the show.

"Uh yeah, sorry," I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thoughts that clouded my brain; it wasn't my fault that I hadn't seen him in a while; none of us had seen anyone besides each other due to quarantine.

"You miss him?" Savannah asked; I wasn't shocked she'd been able to figure out what I was thinking; Savannah and Lilly knew me better than anyone.

"So much," I admit; Lilly paused the TV, a picture of Charlie and I stays frozen on the screen.

"Well, why don't you go visit him?" Lilly asked; when we had left the wedding, Charlie and I had made plans for him to come and visit me; neither of us thought a global pandemic would get in the way; yet here we are, not seeing each other in almost six months.

"but what about you-"

"We'll be fine," Sav cut me off, "my mom has been begging me to come home for weeks now, so I can stay with them for a bit while you're gone."

"And I can go see Owen," Lilly chimed in; like me, she hadn't seen her boyfriend since lockdown began. I thought over their idea for a minute; the three of us have been extremely safe during this, only leaving our apartment for essentials, wearing masks, not seeing anyone but each other, etc.; maybe it would be nice to have a change of scenery for a little bit.

"Okay, who's gonna take Monty, though?" I ask, nodding my head towards our shared dog, who was currently cuddled up on my lap.

"I would take him, but my mom's allergic," Savannah frowned.

"Owen already has two dogs," Lilly said, "I can ask, but it may not be a definite yes."

"I can take him," I offer; I didn't think Charlie or his family would mind; Monty is a pretty chill dog, "If we're doing this, we should probably leave by tomorrow though; we start press the day after."

"Looking for flights as we speak," Savannah informed me, pulling her phone out of her sweatpants pockets. As savannah searched, Lilly unpaused the show, and by the time the credits were rolling, Sav had already found three flights leaving tomorrow to the destinations we were headed.

"I can't believe we're all going our separate ways." Lilly sighed, stand tall, playing loudly through the room as the credits went by.

"It's not forever, Lils," Savannah reminded her, "we're gonna be back together before you know it."

"and I will send daily Monty updates," I inform her, which causes her to smile slightly, "and facetime all the time."

"Same," Savannah told her, "now, let's not spend our last night moping; I say we blast some music and pack."

"You're right," Lilly sat up straighter, "I'm gonna go call Owen; I'll be right back." She pushed herself off the couch, an excited smile taking over her face at the thought of seeing her boyfriend; I grinned at how happy she was and pulled my phone out of my pocket.

"Ooo," Savannah nudged me, "you calling Charlie?" I shake my head, causing her to furrow her brows in confusion. Here's the thing, I already knew Charlie would be okay with me visiting; he talked about it all the time. I could already picture how adorably excited he'd be if I surprised him, "Hey, Meghan," I greet his sister as soon as she picks up, "I was hoping you could help me with something?"

The next day

"Hey," I speak into my phone as I walk through the airport, Monty on a leash, by my side; as soon as I got off the plane, my phone was full of dozens of unread text messages and calls from Charlie.

"Where have you been?" Charlie asked; he didn't sound upset, though, more worried than anything. I wasn't shocked that he'd noticed my absence; aside from our hour-long facetime, we also text continuously throughout the day; I would be worried too if he didn't reply for almost 6 hours.

"Sorry," I apologize, racking my brain for a decent excuse, "I slept in," I finally say, it wasn't my best excuse, but considering it was only noon in Vancouver, it was believable enough.

"It's alright," He reassured, "I just missed you."

"I miss you too," I say into the phone, smiling lightly at how sweet he was, "what are you doing today?"

"I might go live for a bit," He said; Charlie had been blowing up pretty quickly despite the show being released just yesterday, my comment section was already full of girls commenting on how lucky I was, "you should join me, the fans would love it." The fans would love it, and it would be a pretty adorable way to surprise him too.

"Yeah, that'd be fun," I walk into baggage claim now, moving over to the turnstile my luggage should be coming through, "just text me when you're going live; listen, I gotta go, Lils and Sav are calling for me." I excuse myself; in reality, I was about to meet up with his sister any minute.

"Fine," He whined, "I love you; see you soon." I don't think I'll ever get over hearing him say those three words to me, no matter how much time goes by.

"I love you too; see you soon, my love," I say, trying to conceal the giddiness I was feeling from my voice; I was going to see him soon, just not over Livestream like Charlie thought. I had hung up right as I got to the baggage claim, where his sister Meghan was meeting me; luckily, the airport wasn't too crowded, and we were able to find one another pretty quickly.

"Charlie just went live," I informed Meghan as soon as we turned on their street: we had spent the majority of the car ride going over my plan for surprising Charlie.

"Perfect timing," She smiled, pulling into the driveway "you head up to my room; I'm gonna go out back and sit with Charlie while he's live; that way, I can film his reaction." As soon as we entered the house, the two of us went our separate ways; me to Meghan's bedroom and her to the backyard that Charlie was currently sitting in. I join Charlie live once the door is closed, leaning against the white walls so he can't tell where I am.

"Oh, Aubrey's here," He said after a few seconds, realizing I was on; he stopped strumming the guitar, accepting the request I'd sent in when I joined, "Aubrey," He sang, smiling excitedly at me once my face popped up below his, "how you doin?"

"I'm good," I smile, giggling at how adorably excited he looked; I just wanted to get out there and hug him already, "You gonna play me a song?" I ask, referring to the instrument in his arms.

"Of course I am," He replied, "everyone comment song suggestions."

"Ooh," I exclaimed, "someone said Perfect Harmony; that might be hard with the lag, though."

"Yeah," Charlie frowned, continuing to search through the comments.

"Hey, babe?" I ask, causing Charlie to tear his eyes away from the comments, "Have I shown you the EJ and the phantoms merch that Madi's dad made, Monty?" I asked; Charlie shook his head in response, "I'm going to grab him, close your eyes; I want it to be a surprise." Charlie chuckled, closing his eyes anyway; I smirked, proud that my plan was working so far.

"Just give me a minute," I said, moving from Meghan's room to downstairs, Monty walking beside me, still on his leash, "I just have to find it." Charlie nodded, his eyes still shut; I didn't speak after that; instead, I tip-toed outside, flipping the live stream camera around so that fans could see who I was with; then I hung up, this way there wouldn't be an echo when we spoke.

"Can I open?" Charlie whined impatiently; I smiled back at his sister, who sat on her phone recording the two of us.

"Yeah, you can open them," I reply, Charlie's eyes instantly open, staring up at me in disbelief; before I can say anything else, he shoots up from his seat, pulling me into his arms, "Hi," I greet him, wrapping arms around his neck.

"Hi," He mumbled into my neck, not letting go of me anytime soon; which I'm not complaining about in the slightest; I missed this; I frowned as he pulled away from our hug, "I missed you," He muttered, pulling me in for a kiss; I smile as we kiss, my hands playing with the ends of his long hair.

"I missed you too," I say once we pull apart, leaning my forehead against his, "we're gonna be here for a while if that's alright with you."

"Are you kidding? Of course, it is," He says, pulling away so he could look me in the eyes, "wait, we?" He glanced behind me, trying to find who I was referring to; I nodded down to Monty, who was happily wagging his tail looking up at Charlie; he followed my gaze, his eyes widening in excitement, "You got custody of Monty?"

"You make it sound like Savannah, Lilly, and I got a divorce," I chuckle, stepping out of Charlie's arms so he could pick up the excited puppy, "but yes, I got to take Monty." I smiled, watching Charlie meet Monty for the first time, allowing the small dog to lick his cheek.

"Uh Charlie," Meghan called out as she walked back into the house, "your live is still going on by the way, fans are going crazy." I chuckled, moving into the frame; Charlie followed behind, taking the seat next to me.

"We're gonna go now," Charlie announced, "I'm sure the full video of the surprise will be up on my Instagram soon."

"We love you," I sang, leaning my head on Charlie's shoulder, blowing a kiss to his phone; Charlie stuck his tongue out before reaching forward to end the live. As soon as the camera was off, Charlie wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his arms, "I missed this." I mumble; it felt right to be in his arms again after all this time; we've barely spent time together in person since getting together.

"I don't think I'm gonna let go," He mumbled in return, "You're not allowed leaving me again." I didn't fight it, though; instead, I curled in closer.

"I don't plan on it."
