Camp Sunflower

Ah yes, Camp sunflower.
Where the small children play, learn things they can learn in boy scouts or girl scouts.

I'm not trying to get the femanazis on here so I added the girl scouts.

Anyway, its currently the last week of summer camp, and a young girl named Anya is walking alone in the cool, night air, going to towards the nearby sunflower patch.

It will be her last time to see them since her family wants her to move back to Russia for the school year tomorrow.
The young eyed girl is unsure if she will come back to the American camp to see the fields ever again.

She passes a pond that is in between the place, when from across the moon lit, sparkly water, she sees another person slowly walking like they are a zombie.

Since they are on the other side of the lake Anya assumes that it is a boy, because boys stay at the other side of the camp, however this person has long hair, down to their shoulder blades, and from distance she thinks it might be a girl.

Anya soon becomes worried that this person is sleep walking.
She gives off a sad look to the sunflower field that she can see just beyond a small patch of trees, then to the zombie moving person.

Without another thought she races towards them, her bare feet feeling the night dew on them.

She ran, and ran, until her little body was out of breath, heaving down, so that she grabbed her knees covered by her purple leggings.

Quickly she regained her breath, and tackled the long haired person.
The person groaned, and almost gave off a scream.
"AYIAH!" They yelled "Get off of me!"
The girl got off, and saw a boy. A pretty angry looking boy.
"Sorry." She said "You looked like you were sleep walking so I wanted to help."

"Well I wasn't sleep walking I was just walking!" The older boy said annoyed.
"You don't have to be nasty I just wanted to help! You cut into my sunflower time, so if you will excuse me!" The girl huffed, before turning her heel, and walking away.

The boy raced after her.
"Alone?"
"Yes." The girl said not looking at the brown eyed, no longer sleepy boy.
"That's dangerous aru."
"I don't care."
"Well I'm going with you."
"No you're not." The girl crossed her arms, as she glared at the boy.
"Yes I am. I'm older so I have to look after you."

"How do you know your older?" The blonde girl asked.
"How old are you?" The male asked
"Eight." The girl responded
"Well I'm ten, so I'm two years older than you. So you have to listen to me."

The girl growled, under her breath.
"Fine." She huffed.
"Good, now where are the flowers?"

The young violet eyed girl, lead the older male to the sunflower patch, the moon, and stars glistening over the large flowers.

The sound of crickets, and mosquitos buzzed around them, and while it was annoying to the older man, he saw how much wonder was in the little girls eyes.

"How come you wanted to see them tonight?" The older boy asked.
"I have to go home to Russia tomorrow." The girl said sadly
"I am not sure if I will ever return."

"Oh." The brown haired male said sadly
"I can write to you if you want." The man said "I can send you photos of the flowers."

The girls eyes lit up "Really?!" She gasped
"Yup." The older boy said proudly "Don't worry your big bro will totally not let you down."

So that night, by the light of the moon.
A young girl, and boy exchanged contact information, including a Skype that their parents had for business reasons.

Since then they've been in contact, and over the years have sadly fallen in love.
They haven't admitted it yet since long distance is known not to work.

The older now teen Yao, who is Eighteen, works at the camp helping out young kids, though they can drive him over the edge sometimes.

Now, he is walking outside at night, looking at the sunflowers in the night lit sky.

Thinking back on that night, he wonders if he will ever see the girl again.
With a sigh, and following that a yawn he checks his phone.
"1:32" he better get back to sleep, the kids will arrive tomorrow, since it is the first day at camp.

Getting up, he cracks his back, and with a satisfied groan, walks sluggishly to his cabin.

He's at the middle of a pond when he hears a voice from across the lake yell.
"DON'T TELL ME YOU ARE ASLEEP AGAIN!" The voice belongs to a woman with a Russian accent.
Yao knows that voice, he looks up, a d sees a his long time friend, running towards him, he does the same.

"Anya!" He yells happily, a moment before the girl is in his arms.

He holds her their, his eyes spilling tears of happiness, the shorter girl is no longer that small, in fact she's almost his height.

They break part, and the girl kisses his cheeks.
"What are you doing here?" The crying male asks breathlessly.

"I got a job as a consular here for the summer. My sister is living close by so I thought why not."

The brown haired man pulled the girl back into a hug.
"I'm so happy you're here." He said his face in her shoulder.

"I am too." She said hugging the man back.
It was what seemed to short of a moment for the two before the pulled apart, Yao grabbed the girls hands in his, and kissed them.

"Yao." The girl said nervously.
"What if we went out?"

"Like on a date?" Yao asked his heart fluttering with hope.
Anya nodded her head.

"I would be so happy to be your date anywhere."

Yao said, a smile breaking onto his face, the two brought each other into another tight, loving hug.

Yao had the idea to kiss the young woman before him, until a light flashed upon the two.

"Shit sorry!" A blonde America man, said before shutting off the light and walking back to the consular cabins with a glare, and middle finger from Yao.

Anya just laughed, blush over her face, as her date led herback to the cabins.
