A bit dark, and yes I used this song. Sue me.

"You are my greatest creation."

*°*

Come up to meet you
Tell you I'm sorry

It was dark. That's all you remember. You were enveloped in a cool darkness that seemed to go on forever. Despite the menacing demeanor, you were at ease. Calm, peaceful even. But why were you here again?

Voices....

"She is a divine creature. Of all my successes, this is my greatest one yet."

"And what of her previous life?"

"It is taken care of."

You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you

That voice, it seemed all too familiar. It was a baritone, stoic figure. Your mind raced against you as you picked at your own brain to try to remember who this was. You delved into every nook and cranny, searching and searching. Who was this man?

And did he mean anything to you?

"What's happening now?," the other male with a shrill voice was provoked.

"She is merely thinking. Can you not see the brainwave activity?"

"I knew she was thinking! I was merely referring to.. what she was thinking about."

Tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart
Tell me your secrets
And ask me your questions
Oh let's go back to the start

"It is only logical it would be me."

"You?"

"I am her creator."

That was it! That sole word was the key to the memory that had been locked away.

'My creator..'

You felt a sense of powerful yearning. You desperately wanted to see Creator and be held in his arms. Memories came back to life one by one. You remember being hurt, then saved. Healed. Nurtured. Cared for. Loved.

'My Creator.. where are you?'

"She's trying to speak!"

"Yes, that is obvious."

"Well, aren't you going to do something?"

"I advise you to leave immediately."

"What?"

"That was not a request, Starscream. That was an order."

A door slammed.

Running in circles, coming up tails
Heads on a science apart
Nobody said it was easy

"M-m" you tried with every ounce of strength you had left to reach out, but something held you back. A terrible weight was lodged in your throat and every attempt burned your insides. Crying wasn't easy either. You couldn't open your eyes, and when you tried to they felt almost stapled shut. It had become clear to you that you were not in control of your own body.

"I am monitoring your vitals, you must calm down."

Ah, how his voice soothed you. There was an unexplainable attraction to it. As soon as he spoke everything quieted down. You listened so intently, trying to locate the source. It almost seemed as if he was right in front of you but you couldn't tell.

Once he stopped talking you panicked. You couldn't tell if he had left or what was going on.

"Just a nanosecond."

"It's done, optics are now online."

When you opened your eyes for the first time, you expected to be greeted by endless color and happiness. But it was the complete opposite. The surroundings consisted of a typical, dreary lab. There was metal wiring poking out of the ceiling, and tools seemed to litter the floor and tables. You couldn't identify all of them, but they were mostly tools for construction and repairs. There were also a few machines. Some for research, and a bigger one that was intimidating. If something were to settle there was a good chance it'd have been pulled apart

"Welcome, Y/N. I am very satisfied to be meeting you-

"Creator!"

He was a tall, built man. Capable of defending himself if need be. He wore a long white overcoat and purple slacks. It was strict proper business attire, you concluded. But for what business? There was an insignia of some sort that was stamped onto his chest, but you couldn't identify it. Perhaps that was for the better. His hair was the darkest shade purple, it could pass for black in the shadows and it was kept slicked back. There were no flyaways but as you looked closer you noted he had one stray strand at his forehead. You identified it as a 'superman curl'.

What was really noticeable, however, was the black patch he worse across one eye.

There was something haunting about that particular detail. Something didn't feel right. Memories flashed once more right in front of your very eyes.

"No!"

The plug was pulled, all you saw was black.

It's such a shame for us to part

I couldn't allow you to access that set, my dear.

What was that voice?

I am your Creator.

I am Shockwave.

Shock..wave?

Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start

"God, forgive me."

Once more you were back online.. wait, online?

The same surroundings greeted you, the same figure. This time you were able to move. You felt the weight of your constraints leave you and the first thing you did was run right into the arms of your Creator- Shockwave.

Although a bit weary and stiff at first, he eventually gave in to your affections. He held you tightly, embracing you even. He felt warm and he smelled like metal and.... was that lavender?

You nuzzled into his jacket, taking in the scent like a bloodhound puppy. It was on instinct really. But there was something a bit more strict to it. You thought it felt as more of an automatic impulse. But eh, who had time to think about that right? There was so much to take in right now.

You backed up a bit to look up at his face. He held onto your arms and stared right back at you. He wasn't smiling, but his expression wasn't negative. He had an inviting look on his face, almost knowing. You could see it in his eye. His red eye.

You could also see that his eyepatch was metallic. There were a few led lights that outline the material but for the most part it was reflective. You could see your reflection. Well, part of it. Which was funny because as you stared into it you noticed a light blue hue...

And as you investigated further,

It was your eye.

"What?" you yelped in distress. You pushed Shockwave away and stared down at your hands, your arms. Your entire body, everything...

It was metal.

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart

You stared back at Shockwave, who had the same bare look on his face. He sighed deeply and turned around, his hands clasped behind his back.

"What happened to me?" you cried. There was a warm wet feeling clouding your eyes. As you reached up you realized you were crying, and the tears were black.

"I saved you."

"From what?"

"Yourself I suppose if you want to continue being this melodramatic."

"Dramatic? I'm a damn machine! And you're not! H-how-"

"'Machine' is such a primitive word, I prefer the term A.I."

"I don't understand.." you hugged yourself. Feeling no comfort. Only a hard, cold surface of what once was.

"But even so, you're more than that to me."

He turned around and started walking towards your quivering figure."You are my greatest creation."

"So, I'm just a breakthrough in science for you? Is that all?"

"I don't think you comprehend the depth of my reasoning. I saved you for a reason, wouldn't you think?"

"No."

He chuckled and it seemed so unnatural for a person like him you couldn't help but shiver.

"I saved you because I admire you deeply." He was right in front of you know. That lovely, twisted scent filling your nostrils once more. He forced you to look up at him with a finger under your chin. Using his other hand, he brushed away your tears with his thumb. "Don't let coolant cluster near your optics, you'll rust easier."

You nodded slowly, giving into the toxic maturity of his nature. "How did you save me?" you whispered.

"Nevermind that. As I was saying, I did it because I admire you." He leaned in a little closer. "And I will soon expect you to do the same, my dear."

He softly kissed your forehead.

Warmth quickly spread throughout your body as he did so.

It was an electrifying ecstasy and from the slightest intimate touch. What if it went further than this?

Tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

He pulled away and took your hand into his, "Come, there is much to be tested."

You followed, still lost in the bliss of a few seconds ago.

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part

You saw that he was leading you across the room to the big, bulky looking machine that looked straight out of some horror movie. You hesitated.

"Tested?"

"I want to make sure your primary functions are fully operational."

"What is my primary function?"

"..."

"Shockwave?"

A flickering screen caught the corner of your eye. There was a girl, a girl with a resemblance to Shockwave. She had skin and long flowing hair, she was human. Not metal. Not a machine. Not an A.I. Not a creation. She was lying still, her eyes were closed. A man who looked just like Shockwave stood over her, monitoring some type of machine that hovered right above her eye. A few moments later, the machine plunged right into her eye. Blood splattered everywhere and a faint scream could be heard. You watched as the girl struggled against her restraints and as the narrow machine twisted and dug deeper into her face.

That girl seemed familiar. That man seemed familiar.

Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard

Just as a gasp escaped your lips Shockwave reached up to the side of your head at the speed of light and pushed a button. Just like a switch, your sight was immediately shut down. You held your arms out in a panic, scared of what was to come.

"Another failure so it seems."

"I'll be sure to not allow it again," you felt a comforting warmth spread once more. This time starting at your lips. "For both of our sakes."

Every light in your body started to leave you. If there was any pain, you didn't feel it. In fact, you've never felt more at home.

I'm going back to the start

*°*

Just kidding, don't. I don't wanna be sued.
