I'm Glad You Came - Part 2
Alex's PoV:
I had stayed in bed all day yesterday. Vlad and I cuddle a lot and Vlad had use his magic to help heal me from our "encounter" the night before. I no longer ached and so I got up and got ready for the day. Vlad had provided me with some clean clothes to wear. I walked downstairs to find Vlad.
This was my first time really seeing his mansion since I was practically bed ridden the day before. Vlad's home was huge. I was on the second floor and so I took the steps downstairs. I smelt something cooking and so I followed the scent to the kitchen. Apparently, Vlad was cooking breakfast. "Good morning," I stated cheerily.
"Oh, hey there," Vlad said turning to greet me, "I was just cooking breakfast for you." "I was going to take it to your bedroom but I'm glad to see that your doing fine."
"Thanks," I started, "I really am feeling much better today."
My neck still hurt slightly but for the most part I had made a fast recovery, thanks to Vlad. I sat down on a chair and watched Vlad continue his cooking. Who knew a vampire could cook?
"I hope you like pancakes," Vlad remarked as he slid some pancakes onto a plate and sat it down in front of me.
"Thanks," I replied with a smile as I hungrily forked a piece of a pancake into my mouth. "Your a great cook," I said surprised.
He chuckled a little. "You think just because I'm a vampire means I can't cook?" Vlad asked.
"Yeah, well you can't eat food, can you?" I remarked.
"I see your point," he said as he sat down next to me with nothing but a glass of water.
Vlad definitely had some tricks up his sleeve. It would be interesting to get to know more about him.
Vlad's PoV:
Alex and I talked throughout breakfast and when he was done I decided to give him a tour of my home. We read and cuddled in the library most of the day. I accidentally fell asleep on his lap.
By the time I woke up it was already dark out. I smiled at Alex, who was still reading, and sat up. "Come on, let's go outside," I stated enthusiastically.
Alex agreed and soon we both found ourselves in the middle of the woods that surrounded my home. We were walking down a small dirt trail that lead to a river. Soon, we heard a wolf's howl. "What was that?" Alex asked scared.
"Oh, it's nothing just a wolf," I replied cuddling closer to him, "you can hear them in these woods all the time."
Alex seemed to relax a bit. I was proven wrong though. The wolf's howl seemed to be getting closer and closer. I had thought nothing of this thinking that it would get scent of us and run away scared. This did not happen though. The wolf jumped in the middle of the trail right in front of us. Alex gave a startled yip and hid behind me. I knew immediately that this was no ordinary wolf but a werewolf. It was much to large and ferocious to be an ordinary wolf. "Alex, run the other direction when I give the signal, okay," I stated.
Alex mumbled something. I started counting backwards from 3. "3...2...1...now," I yelled the last part and jumped to attack the werewolf.
I had at first managed to pin the wolf to the ground and get a hold of his neck but the wolf managed to wiggle his way out from under me. I looked back up the trail and was glad to see Alex must have got away. My thoughts was broken when I felt a terrible pain course through my shoulder. In my moment of hesitation the wolf had pinned me and managed to sink his teeth into my shoulder. I hissed in pain. I needed to get away, but did I bide enough time for Alex. I decided if I stayed here much longer I could bleed out and die. I shoved the wolf with all my weight and managed to break free. I then charged up the hill after Alex holding my bleeding shoulder the entire time.
My wounds hurt so bad. I checked behind me, no wolf, he must have left thinking that I was too much of a waste of energy. I slowed my pace. I don't think I can walk much farther like this. I stopped next to a large tree and allowed myself a moment to rest. I sank down to the base of the tree where I was sitting on the ground. Laying my head against the tree I felt my vision darken and finally black.
"Vlad!," a voice yelled, "Vlad, wake up, I'm scared!"
That voice, it was so familiar. I was tired though, couldn't they just wait. Then he slapped me. My eyes shot open, instantly feeling me with realization. "What was that for?" I asked Alex.
"Sorry, you wouldn't wake up and I was getting worried," Alex replied, his voice full of concern.
My wounds were now bandage with fabric from Alex's coat but we still were stuck in the middle of the woods. "You need to go to the hospital," Alex suggested.
"Ha, you really think they would help someone like me," I replied maybe to sarcastically, "they'd be much more likely to kill me instead."
Alex frowned sadly. "Oh," was all he said. He snuggled closer to me. "I can at least help you back home."
I smiled, "thanks."
With that, Alex, positioned my arm over his shoulder and helped me stand. Slowly, together we walked back home. Once there, Alex, found my medical supplies and cleaned my wound. He wrapped some bandages around it. "Do you feel any better," Alex asked me.
"Yeah, maybe a little," I supplied, "thanks to you, I don't know what I would do without you."
Alex smiled and sat down next to me on the library couch. "Your still weak, you need blood," Alex said,"take some of mine."
"I'm fine," I replied even though I basically craved his sweet blood, especially now that I had limited blood of my own.
He must have read my mind. He undid some of his shirt buttons and slipped his shirt off past his shoulders so that his neck was completely exposed. I couldn't hold myself back and practically attacked him. I pinned him to the couch and penetrated his neck with my sharp fangs. I swear I heard Alex moan. I felt his warm, sweet blood flow over my teeth and into my mouth. I swallowed gulps of it at a time. I forced my self to stop before I made him pass out again. I didn't want to hurt him. We were both blushing. "Thanks," I smiled as I licked some of his blood from my lips.
We both cuddled together after that and slept throughout the day.
