Couple

"Robin..." She said weakly, her head down.

He held her cloak over her body, her leotard torn at the stomach and shoulders.

Slowly, so not to harm her, Robin picked her up.

Raven shook, her voice broken. "Take me home."

Robin nodded, her voice heartbreaking. He placed her in the backseat of the T-Car, her head on Cyborg's lap.

"What happened to her?" The metal man asked, pulling her into a hug.

Robin spoke, his voice filled with anger. "Slade."

Cyborg nodded, talking to Raven slowly and quietly.

"We're almost home, Rae. Hang in there."

They reached the tower, and Cyborg handed the girl to Robin.

He walked through the doors, glad Starfire and Beast Boy were asleep.

He took her to the infirmary, gently placing her on a bed.

She shivered, her face hidden behind her hair.

When Raven started crying, Robin sat next to her, his arms around her."Shhhh, Rae you're okay now, you're home."

She calmed, tracing his hand with hers. "He hurt me."

"He's gone now."

"He tore open my stomach."

"I wasn't there. I'm sorry, Raven."

"I shouldn't have been fighting alone."

Raven sat back on the bed, removing her cloak.

He saw the gash, nasty and bloody. Before he could say anything, Raven spoke.

"Stitches. I need them."

He nodded his head, looking down. He reached next to him, the stitches ready.

"I don't want to hurt you."

"Just do it."

"Are you sure?"

"Please, Robin. Just do it. Now."

He sighed, pressing the needle in her skin. He felt her grip his arm as the novacain set in.

He let it sit, and soon the stitches were in. He saw Raven clench her teeth as he touched her shoulder.

"That only needs gauze, Rae."

She nodded, her hair hiding her face. Robin wrapped the material around her arm, securing it.

He kissed her chakra, his breath lingering.

"I love you, Rae."
