Couple

There weren't many times in battle where Robin would fall, but it just so happened that now was one of those unlucky times.

They had been fighting against Dr. Light, who had made an escape from the Jump City Prison. He hadn't gotten far though.

He had gotten about a mile away when the Titans had found him. He had tried to fight back, but the villain was no use for the teenage heroes.

In a last effort to gain some leverage, he tossed a light disk. Robin, for once in his life, had not seen the object coming.

He was hit in the ribs, where the object proceeded to blow up on him. Robin was knocked off his feet, into the nearby wall of a jewelry store.

He had been hit pretty hard, hard enough for blood to spill out of his wounds.

The other Titans, Star, Cyborg, and Beast Boy were but trying to round up the villain. Raven ran over to the boy, kneeling down next to him.

Her eyes held a very large amount of fear. Robin couldn't understand why until he looked down at his side.

His costume was singed away, along with his skin. A deep gouge was there, blood accompanying it. The red liquid kept pouring out, and Raven froze.

She was distracted by all the blood. It scared her. So distracted was she, that she didn't see the huge cement hand come crashing down on her.

Cinderblock. Raven used her dark energy to push the man off of her. She pushed him back with her magic, but he came forward, and Raven ducked.

He went straight for the fallen leader, picking him up by his cape and tossing him aside like garbage.

"Robin!"

Raven ran for him, seeing his battered body near the bank. She knew the others could handle the two criminals just fine.

Once by his side, she pulled his head in her lap, her breathing hard. She was pissed at him. He always tried to do stuff by himself, putting himself in danger.

He knew how much she disapproved, yet he continued. She closed her eyes, listening to his shallow breathing.

"Robin...."

Her eyes popped open when his hand touched her cheek gently. She took his hand in hers, knowing she couldn't heal him at the moment.

Her emotions were too much for her at the moment. They would only make things worse. So she sat with him, holding his hand, keeping an eye out for the criminals.

She saw Starfire and Cyborg load up Dr. Light and Cinderblock into the police cars. Cyborg looked back, giving Raven a worried look. She shook her head, meant to keep him from coming over.

Robin opened one eye, the other swollen shut. He spoke to Raven, his voice hoarse.

"Rae?"

Raven looked back down at him, noticing hi hand pulling hers to his chest. She felt his heartbeat, exhaling slowly. She urged him to continue, scared he wouldn't finish.

But he did. And his words made her smile through her worry.

"I'm fine."

She scoffed, her hood down, her eyes showing her worry.

"You're an idiot, you know that?"

He nodded, his one eye closing underneath the whites of his mask. He yawned, but stopped when his rib throbbed. He smiled lightly, trying to get to her ear.

She leaned down, making it easier for the Boy Wonder to reach her. He spoke quietly, placing a small kiss on her cheek before he did.

"But I'm you're idiot."

Raven nodded, kissing him on his bruised forehead, waiting for Cyborg to pull up the T-Car. Robin continued his small smile, his head on her chest.

Yes, he was an idiot. But at least somebody was there to tell him. His Raven.
