Chapter 2 - School

"You should have called the school, not participate in taking down a villain, which is illegal here without a Provisional License or a Pro-Hero License." Casper laughed awkwardly, rubbing his daughter's arm comfortingly who was mildly freaking out on the inside that she was in trouble with the law now before she was even in the country for a whole week. They were still living at a hotel! They don't have their house yet because the movers had to delay the delivery and then apparently the electricity was no longer working- It was a mess, and she just added on further stress to her dads' minds. She didn't enjoy that, not at all. If moving to a whole new country was stressful enough.

"I'm sorry Mr. Aizawa, i-it was in the spur of the moment..." Aizawa sighed, shaking his head as he leant back in his seat of the cab, the driver having been called to drive four people right after a villain attack? He better be getting paid double for his trouble to get through the traffic.

"Whatever fines needs to be paid, we will pay it-"

"Nezu will tell you the details when we get there, I suggest for you to relax for the moment and be quiet when we get into UA, it's their lunch period and I don't want her to have unnecessary attention on her from the other students. More than likely some of them are watching videos of what happened as we speak." She gulped, leaning further back into her seat and rubbed her fabric covered arms, her gloves safely back on but her feet exposed after ruining her boots.

"How are your gears?" Ian spoke after a few minutes of silence softly. She looked up at him before down at her feet. "They are okay, I made sure to breathe like the doctor instructed so I didn't overheat."

"Good, love." Ian pushed back her bangs and kissed her forehead before resting his head back against the seat, closing his eyes. His heart wasn't pounding from the adrenaline he felt earlier, so that was a good thing, and by the looks of Casper, all they had to worry about for now was if they were going to punish her or not? They knew they would have to pay for the damage done to the pole and the use of the chains that she did, but wouldn't that also be on the Pro-Hero that was with her? He didn't know, Japan's system was confusing to him.

You see in the UK, You are allowed to use your quirk without a license or permit if it means protecting yourself or others, you would just have to report it to the police and pay any fines in damages that you may have done to the surrounding area. When it came to quirks like his daughter's- Hers is activated all the time, no way around it unless they want her limbs to lock up and pronounce her inmobile for a number of hours or even a day depending on how long she didn't use it. It was very much apart of her, so when she was little, they had gotten a special permit for her to have on her to be able to use her quirk for the purposes of living day to day. But- You could only use it in the UK and a few other countries. Japan was odd and they couldn't use it here, hopefully they could change that and let their daughter live comfortably here.

The cab pulled alongside the school shortly afterwards, and they could see their were a few reporters hanging around, must have hightailed it here after seeing what direction the car the android girl got in. They wanted a story, a much better story than the other media or news outlets, a interview with her if possible even. An interview would gain them a lot of views and clicks on their articles about her.

Aizawa groaned lowly in dismay, "Damn reporters..." He muttered to himself, glancing up in the rearview mirror to see she was looking over her father's shoulder, seeing and observing just how many people were there outside, waiting just for her. He could see how she coiled in on herself fearfully, not wanting anymore attention on her and he could feel his heart pang, his instincts as a teacher (Dadzawa) was kicking in to protect her from the media coverage at all costs.

He pulled out his phone and called him on speed dial, needing a distraction as quick as possible.

"Hey, mind doing me a favor?" She perked up, hearing a voice on the receiving end.

"I'm eating lunch, Eraser~! What is more important?!" The two husbands at the back of the vehicle shared a look, wondering who the tired hero was speaking to.

"The anxiety filled student in the back of this cab."

"ON MY WAY!" The blonde shouted into the phone, Aizawa pulling it away from his ear to avoid further early deafness with age.

She could hear the dial, meaning one of them hanged up. She felt her hands being grabbed on either side of her, and she looked back and forth at Casper and Ian, seeing the adoration in their eyes, rubbing soft circles into the fabric of her gloves comfortingly. Telling her it was going to be okay.

Back in the UK, she was diagnosed for chronic anxiety disorder at a fairly young age after living in a constant state of it, the multiple doctor visits to the hospital and to her own home, awaiting for the news that she was going to die early, that her body couldn't take the metal anymore, that what was left of her humanity was going to be stripped away by either her quirk or others. The stares she gained from others that knew, the liability she was to her parents and everyone who loved and supported her. It all weighed down heavily, she couldn't sleep, felt like she needed to vomit every hour of every passing day, bile in her throat, her jitters, her picking at her metal on her arms until you could prominently see the scratches from her dark nails. It was difficult to deal with, at least now she had medication for it, which opened a new can of worms in terms of going and living in a whole different country.

She had revealed herself to most of the people of Japan unintentionally, all because she just wanted to help, and now her teacher and the school will have to deal with that on the legal side of things, one of the reasons why the reporters were there in the first place.

Not even a few moments later, after getting out of her own thoughts to keep herself from having an attack- A booming voice ripped through the hemisphere.

"Hello listeners! May I interest you in something extraordinary?!" Boomed Present Mic loudly from outside the vehicle, standing at the school gate with a glee-ridden grin. His eyes glanced to the vehicle parked, seeing Aizawa in the front seat. He looked to be slowly sinking down in the leather seat.

"It's Present Mic!" The reporters flocked over like vultures to him, questions beyond questions releasing from their lips.

"Alright kiddo, once Mic moves away from the entrance, we are making a run for it." The android girl nodded.

"What about us two?"

"The caber will take you around the building once then to back here, that way there was a small chance of reporters flooding to you as well, they will lose interest once they see your daughter and I have already gotten into the building."

"What about when we leave?" She spoke up, yellow eyes blinking at him as she slightly leaned over in her seat, her foot tapping uncontrollably.

"We will do the same maneuver, but by then you could easily blend into the crowd of third year students. Today is one of their half-days, so the timing couldn't be more perfect." She nodded at his words, leaning back into her seat, looking out the window and saw Present Mic was already making his move away from the one entrance.

"Alright, ready?" She let go of her father's hands, unbuckling her seat belt as Casper did the same so she could easily slide over him.

"Yes sir."

"Please don't call me sir..." He muttered to himself, internally cringing.

Once Present Mic and the reporters were well away from the entrance, Aizawa opened his car door and Casper did the same. Aizawa stepped out, watching the reporters intently until she was safely out of the vehicle.

"Now, don't leave me behind when you run." Her face heated up, remembering that she did display her speed earlier.

The two ran and the car doors were closed, Present Mic could see at the corner of his eye the two running to the entrance as he kept the reporters busy. His usual smile softened for a split moment, seeing Aizawa's little Dad Instincts kick in as he rested a hand at the back of her nape.

"Is it true that you and the infamous Eraserhead are dating?!" And- That sweet moment was gone. He was glad that his friend was out of earshot to hear that, however, the 16 year old beside him was not, her ears worked perfectly fine in terms of a humans, but since her quirk had developed, her ears, including her eyes, increased in the range they could see or hear. She furrowed her brows, making eye-contact with him for a split moment before they passed through the gate and out of the reporters prying urge to get a delicious scoop.

"Apologies listeners! It seems lunch hour is ending at UA so I must get back to the classroom asap!" Present Mic stated proudly, trying to step away when a woman side stepped in front of him.

"Then what are those stories on the web about? There is a bunch of them!"

"Stories...?" He questioned her and he could see her eye twinkle. 'Oh... Oh no.'.

The two ran down the hallway to Nezu's office, hoping to get there before the bell rang, signalling for all students to go back to class.

The wind whizzed past her, flowing through her pale blonde hair, the cold air tickling her skin.

This school must had ac if the air was this chilly inside, or it was just from the cemented walls. She could see varying security cameras lining the walls, telling her that they did indeed keep a close eye on their students. There was even a few new installed ones, an extra precaution since the villain attack months ago at the USJ.

That did lessen the worry in her mind about her own personal safety, if she was by chanc picked on by other students, or anyone for that matter, they would catch it on tape and do something about it. She was a transfer from a different country, she wouldn't be surprised.

Her teacher running next to her slowed down into a speed walk, eyeing the watch on his arm before at the doors to the cafeteria as they passed by.

She shrugged her hood back over her head, slowly coming to a stop as she peered into the cafeteria, seeing the many students there. Most of them were finished with their lunch and was just talking to their friends, having a blast.

Aizawa paused, looking back at her as the girl watched the people she was going to be training with, learning with, having a career with them in the future, no matter what department or class they were in. He could see the humanity in her, the human curiosity, the flutter of her eyes, the nervousness in her gaze. They had been talking through a webcam for months, giving lessons to her until the day came their visas were approved to come and live in Japan, her father's getting jobs here, her getting education for a promising career that she wanted.

He knew that she was timid, but when out fighting against criminals or villains alike- Her timidness melted away, because that is what she wanted to do during her time on this earth. To help people, to be someone's hero.

"Come on, Principal Nezu is waiting for us." She blinked, looking over to him as she processed his words before nodding and taking a step. He walked away as she spared one last glance into the cafeteria, the epitome of teenage culture surrounding food. It was so- So different. Different from the short time she attended public school in the UK, just the culture of it all shocked her way of thinking. Respect isn't just earned here, you had to respect everyone equally.

At least- From what she had read about the culture, she didn't know if that was exactly enforced heavily. Aizawa did tell her not to call him 'sir' even though she had for months via video chat, so what was different in person? Whole humans were confusing.

She jogged up to Aizawa, catching up with him before matching his pace, burrowing her hands into her sweatpant pockets- Oh, did I mention that her suitcase was lost?

They were going to go shopping for nicer clothing for her to wear but inevitably they never got around to it and soon enough, they were there right now and couldn't do much about it.

She looked down at her feet, seeing and slightly hearing them patter against the flooring, yep, she was definitely not dressed correctly for the occasion. At Least her hoodie was somewhat... Nice?

She could have worn the uniform they sent to the hotel, but she didn't want to be mistaken as a student when she didn't start until Monday, that would just be too much explaining to do and she didn't want to get overwhelmed.

They turned a corner and her eyes narrowed, stopping before sliding behind the wall. Aizawa, seeing her movement at the corner of his eye, looked back at her, ready to question her actions when he heard voices.

"Do we have homeroom next?"

"We had homeroom earlier, we have English next."

"I thought it was History- Oh hi Mr. Aizawa!" Mina Ashido proclaimed cheerfully, Aizawa realizing that the girl heard the three approaching them before he even had. That was a useful skill to use out in the field. Impressing him as always, he nodded at Ashido shortly. His eyes flickering to Ochaco Uraraka and Kyoka Jirou. (This is how I am spelling her last name, before y'all come at me)

"What are you three doing here?"

"Coming back from the restroom- Why? What are you doing here?" Jirou questioned him, her eyes staring up at him lazily. He sighed heavily, glancing back as he made a small decision.

"I'm leading a student to the Principal's office."

"Who? Hagakure?" Jirou looked behind him, seeing no one in sight.

"No."

"Ooo who is it?! Please tell us!" Aizawa glanced back again, sighing in defeat.

"You can come out, they won't bite." The three girls peered around him, searching for the person he was talking to.

She slowly stepped out, keeping her gaze downcasted, rubbing her arms nervously. They weren't expecting her, they were expecting to see someone they already knew of.

"She will be attending UA starting Monday, you will be her classmates. I assure you she is a nice girl."

"Wait- A transfer? Into our class?" Uraraka questioned, the tired man nodding. "Don't tell anyone of her arrival, it will be announced on Monday before your morning classes begin." Ashido couldn't help but squeal, barreling forward with her arms outstretched to give her a hug. The pale blonde froze up, eyes wide, she did not want a hug from a total stranger!

Aizawa grabbed the back of Ashido's blazer, holding her back from bringing the new student into a bone crushing hug.

"Ashido, she doesn't enjoy affection from strangers. Respect her boundaries."

"Aww..." She pouted, shrugging her teacher's hand off of her, "I'm sorry! I got too excited!"

"It's okay..." The yellowed eyed girl replied, fumbling with her bottom lip nervously. The first bell rang, signalling to everyone that the lunch period was over and for everyone to head to their classes.

"Let's go before we are late!" Uraraka stated, running forward and grabbing Ashido's hand. Ashido nodded, Jirou sent a small wave to her before the three ran off past her, in a hurry to get to class before the second bell would inevitably ring.

"Come on, let's go." She nodded, jogging to catch up to Aizawa.

She was in luck that day, she didn't have to partake in social activity with complete strangers, was literally saved by the bell- And her teacher, from an impending affectionate attack.

The rest of the way to the Principal's Office went by quicker, her heart rate having slowed down a considerable amount, anxiety not jumping off of the rails. Here, she would be in a room filled with teachers and staff she already knew, whether it would be over the phone or facetime, it was to help her feel more comfortable in the coming months of adjusting to the arena that was high school.

The quirk-erasing man opened the door, letting her step through first before closing the door behind him.

As expected- The teachers who had classes in the next hour were already ready to go to their classrooms, not wanting to be late for the students.

All eyes fell on her once the sound of the door closing reverberated into the room, their heads snapping over to her like they were apart of a hive mind.

She blushed, the flush against her pale skin very noticeable.

"Mic isn't back yet?"

"He got stuck with the reporters." Stated Snipe. Aizawa couldn't help but snicker silently to himself, muttering something incoherent to those around him.

The two walked the rest of the way into the room, the pale blonde taking a seat across from Principal Nezu, who was now standing on the desk with his paw outstretched to her.

"Welcome to the school, Miss Flores, apologies for not giving better directions." She reached out and gently shook his paw, not wanting to accidentally crush it, human hands she didn't worry to much about, but with Nezu- He was biologically a mouse.

"It's okay, it was both our fault for not realizing." She told him, accepting the small apology as he took his seat, taking a sip out of his mug.

"Shall we get started with the basics of this meeting?" Nexu questioned, his staff of teachers nodding along.

"Alright, Miss Flores there will be a recording of this meeting, since Present Mic isn't here at the moment, and half of these teachers will be leaving soon to go and teach classes. It will be easier for them to catch up that way." She nodded, taking a inhale of breath to calm her nerves, 'Dad and Papa will be here soon...' She reminded herself.

"Starting on Monday, you will be attending Class 1-A as a transfer student for the next three years, you were recommended to our school by the UK Police Administration, since in the UK, they do not have a school like ours that would be able to cater to your situation." She nodded along to every sentence that passed his lips, this was a briefing of what she already knew, just to catch up and remember if anything were to ever come up, it would all be on tape.

"The Costume Department have been hard at work for the past few months on getting your hero costume ready for use, a few hiccups along the way but overall, should be ready in a week's time. For now when you are in Heroics, you will wear the gym uniform provided by the school for it's students."

"It has been decided that your arrival to UA won't be announced till monday, this is to ensure your own safety, as it is possible that there is a traitor in our midst who would like to use you for their own selfish deeds, so please be cautious at all times."

She slowly rose her hand, stopping the principal from continuing.

"W-Wouldn't that also include t-the staff?"

"We all have been luckily cleared, the students however, have not been." Midnight spoke up, watching as the girl's shoulders relax from their tense posture, but yet kept the look in her yellow gaze as protective. None of the teachers were a traitor, one of the students however were- How was she going to make friends knowing that information?

"Don't let this information keep you from forming friendships with your fellow classmates. There is only one traitor that we know of, not several, so you meeting them and being their friend is 1 in 800 or so." Nezu informed her.

"Moving on, you have already met most of your teachers, you have already done a few of your courses and assignments online except for Hero Work and the Sports Festival or any of the exams your classmates have already done, but that will not matter due to your situation in getting here in the first place. Now, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask."

"Uhhh..." She fumbled with her fingers, staring down at her lap thoughtfully, "Umm... What would happen if I um... Overheat?"

"You will be taken to Recovery Girl, another one of the departments who work on Support Items have created a cooling system that is separate from your hero suit that is located in the nurse's office with Recovery Girl."

"Okay..." She didn't know what else to ask, her dads were supposed to be with her for this part.

A few moments passed when the door to the room opened. She looked back, seeing her parents and Present Mic standing in the doorway

"Apologies for being so late." Ian acknowledged, apologizing to everyone in the room.

"No worries, let's talk some more before classes begin."

To Be continued
