A/N 

... You guys still there? 

So it's been liiiittle while since I last updated this book :) 

And I haven't updated my other ones either, which I apologise for. 

BUT what I want to do is complete my current books without starting my others and I have a few books that I desperately want to publish. So I'm going to HARNESS what little determination I have at the moment and GET THIS BOOK FINALLY FINISHED. 

I hope you enjoy this chapter and ones yet to come! 

As soon as Doctor Tenma gave (Y/N) the 'all clear', she was on her feet in no time. Waddling from the bedroom to the bathroom, from the kitchen to the couch, or even from chair to chair at the dining table. Any chance she got, (Y/N) attempted to walk. With all these short trips, her strength was built up faster than predicted. Her occasional walks around the city with Astro became even more enjoyable, now that she didn't need assistance. 

With each passing day, (Y/N) walked faster with ease. Astro couldn't be more proud. But he still couldn't shake the feeling that once (Y/N) was able to completely walk on her own, she wouldn't need him anymore, just like she soon wouldn't need the walker. He mentioned this to his girlfriend before and she had assured him that was not and never will be the case. With this reassurance, and a loving hug, Astro never felt better.

Due to (Y/N)'s pain being practically gone, her walks with Astro increased. To be honest, the walks, that eventually became a daily activity, quickly turned into her favourite part of the day. 

As they strolled around the city, (Y/N) wasn't scared to show everyone her new prosthetics. The walks were slow but incredibly fun. No walker or crutches needed. Nearing the end of most trips, (Y/N) would feel slight pain in her joints but tried not to show it. Of course, she did a horrible job in Astro's eyes. He noticed it every time and always offered to carry her home with a gentle flight back. 

And (Y/N) appreciated it every time.

Occasionally, the orphan kids would surprise the couple on their walks. 

By pure coincidence, most of the time, the kids would be exploring the city at the same time as Astro and (Y/N). They joined along and shared stories of what was happening in each of their lives. 

Cora got closer with her lost family and they got to meet the new, older Cora. 

Zane had taken his interest in robots to a higher level. He created small inventions with junk he found on the surface and parts he traded with other citizens. Soon, his inventions expanded into complete plans for his own robots. 

Widget and Sludge had gotten ever so taller, almost barely noticeable. Widget had chosen to change her hair with a new style and clips and while Sludge added more accessories to his attire. 

And of course, Trashcan remained his joyful metal self, always wanting to play fetch with his friends. 

Astro and (Y/N)'s friends were their family. 

And they had a pretty cool family.

At the end of every day, routine was always the same. Hang out with Astro and his family, check up with Doctor Tenma, dinner at the table, then Astro and (Y/N)'s alone time. 

Each check up was progress as (Y/N) became stronger. Astro did his own check up with her in case she was lying to her boyfriends father about any pain. It used to be more of a problem but she learned the importance of being honest about injuries, especially ones that impacted her ability to heal around her prosthetics. 

Astro cared for (Y/N) and made sure she healed quickly in the safest way. 

(Y/N) reminded Astro of her love for him and her appreciation for everything he and his family had done for her. 

Both of them had to admit, their life was pretty sweet. And so was their relationship, as it grew stronger every day.

I apologise for how short this chapter is. I just really wanted to post something after all this time so I hope it was satisfactory. 

Now, I have a question... 

Should I end the story here or should I add one more chapter to finalise everything? 

If you guys would like one or two more chapters, please feel free to leave any ideas or unanswered questions in the comments! I'm having intense writers block at the moment and really need some help!
