The kiss went for seconds, then seconds turned to minutes. (Y/N) and Astro were focused on nothing but each other- 

"I KNEW IT!" 

The two jumped apart to see Bill Tenma in the doorway with a wide smile as he pointed at the two. (Y/N) gasped and jumped off Astro's lap to sit on the bed, while Astro yelled in fright. 

"DAD! What-! Why-?!" Astro was at a loss for words at his father's abrupt entrance. No knock of warning. (Y/N) buried her face in her hands out of embarrassment. 

"I was just coming in to ask how the arm's going! But it looks like you two are busy so I'll just come back later~" Dr. Tenma winked teasingly and closed the door slowly while giggling quietly. Astro groaned as he fell back on the bed. (Y/N) laughed at Astro as her embarrassed blush faded. 

"He was bound to find out about us sooner or later." She admitted. "Guess it was way sooner than we thought." She laughed nervously. 

"About 'us'?" Astro repeated. (Y/N)'s flustered state returned and her eyes widened. 

"I-I mean like, what we just did. He would eventually find out-" 

"I want to be your boyfriend." Astro said quickly. "...if that's what it's called." (Y/N) froze. She thought she'd be the one to ask to start a relationship, but Astro beat her to it. A small smile grew, only slightly. 

"That is what it's called." She laughed and nodded. Astro smiled nervously. 

"...So~?" He dragged out hopefully. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" (Y/N) knew she wanted to say 'yes', but she couldn't. But this wasn't because it wasn't right, it was because she was feeling way more excited than just saying 'yes'. She laughed and jumped on Astro and hugged him. Astro was startled for a second but hugged back when he realised why she was hugging him. "So... it's a yes?" 

"Yes! Of course it's a yes!" (Y/N) laughed as if the answer was obvious. She knew she was young and this was only her first relationship. But it felt like he just proposed! It was that exciting! Astro laughed with her and hugged her like it was the last hug he'd ever receive. 

Astro couldn't explain what he was feeling. This emotion was so new, it was foreign to him. But, boy, did it feel great. He never wanted this hug to end. Heck, he never wanted this relationship to end. What he had with (Y/N) made him the happiest he's ever been. And now that they've made their relationship official, he's gotten even happier. 

~ 

"I told you!" Bill Tenma whispered from the other side of the door. Orrin rolled his eyes and laughed. 

"Sir, I expected it first, so I win the bet." 

"But we bet on the same thing!" Tenma exclaimed. 

"But I was first, pay up." Orrin smirked with his hand out. Tenma sighed, convinced he still won the bet, even though what Orrin had said was very true. He handed Orrin a check with double his pay. The robot assistant laughed under his breath as he and the doctor parted from the door to give the kids some actual privacy.

(Y/N) gasped. 

"What?" Astro asked in slight alarm. 

"We're going to need to tell the others." 

Astro's eyes widened and realised she was right. How would the rest of the Surface kids react? Would they not approve and ask (Y/N) come back to live with them? How would Cora react to her 'big sister' having a boyfriend this whole time of it being just them? A wave of questions swarmed Astro's mind. He didn't want to put his new relationship on hold already! 

"Hey!" (Y/N) snapped him back to reality with her hands on either side of his face. "It'll be fine." She assured softly. Astro exhaled slowly and nodded. (Y/N) smiled as he melted into her touch. He could definitely get used to this.

Okay, okay, so I know my chapters are usually over 1000 words and this one is clearly not, but I really wanted to upload another chapter.
