A/N 

(H/L) Hair Length

Neither Astro nor (Y/N) knew what to do, or say after the kiss. It was simple, yet meaningful. All thoughts were positive, and they wanted to be said, but they were both frozen, silent. They wanted to explain their feelings in a way that was more than just 'I like you' but they couldn't find the words. Besides from words, they both secretly wanted to continue, see what would happen next. But they couldn't, for their eyes were locked on each other, until (Y/N) blinked when the elevator made a noise to signal someone was coming up. She looked at the elevator then back to Astro. 

"How about we go to your room?" She suggested. Astro just hummed as he continued to stare at her in awe, a dumb smile remained while his eyes were relaxed in slight lust. "Astro." (Y/N) mentioned his name as she gently held his hand that laid on the kitchen table. That seemed to do the trick when Astro's eyes widened. 

"Oh! Yes, yes, good idea." He complimented quickly as he stood up and pushed (Y/N)'s wheelchair into his room, once he actually realised why she made the suggestion in the first place. 

They reached the boy's room and Astro closed the door as he sat on his bed. (Y/N) just sat back in her wheelchair. "So..." She began with a smug smirk. "When did you start liking me?" She asked. Astro closed his hands into fists and relaxed them nervously. 

"Well, I, uh... probably around... I think it would've been when I first saw you in the orphans home on the Surface." Astro admitted shyly. 

"Really?" (Y/N) was slightly shocked, but flattered. "Like, as soon as I walked in?" 

"Pretty much." Astro nodded then froze. "-wait, is that weird?" 

"No, it's not weird." (Y/N) laughed. "I mean, I don't blame you. I am quite irresistible." She jokingly bragged. 

"Yeah." Astro instantly agreed. "I-I mean-! I-" Astro then sighed and gave up on trying to save himself this time. "Yes, you are. Happy?" 

"Yes." (Y/N) simply smiled. 

"What about you? When did you start liking me?" Astro asked in an effort to take the spotlight off of himself. (Y/N) looked up in thought. 

"Not long after the battle, I'd say." (Y/N) recalled. "I think that was when I realised that I actually did like you, and that it wasn't just 'first meeting butterflies', if that makes sense." She blushed. "I wanted to be sure."  

"Well I definitely fell faster than you." Astro laughed. "But like you said, who can blame me? You are irresistible." Astro complimented with a smirk of his own, one that (Y/N) had only seen a couple of times. Each time he did it, (Y/N)'s blush would go unnoticed. Until now. "What's this?" He questioned dramatically, out of nowhere. 

"What?" (Y/N) asked, quite confused. 

"Did you just blush?" Astro asked, although he knew it was true. He slowly stood up. 

"No- Why-? Why would I have blushed?" (Y/N) tried to remain cool, but it wasn't really working. Instead, she just looked flustered. 

"Did I just cause the all-time badass, intimidating, sarcastic (Y/N) to blush??" Astro exclaimed as he was clearly trying to annoy the girl. 

"What-? No-" (Y/N) backed up slightly as Astro stepped towards her. 

"Did I also make you flustered too?" He gasped as he stepped even closer and leaned in front of (Y/N) on the wheelchair's armrests. (Y/N) tried to hide her giggles to show she was serious. Although, most of the time, she was pretty serious. These were the rare moments that her soft side shone through. And of course, it was always in front of Astro. "I didn't know I was that charming." Astro teased. 

"Don't worry, you're not." (Y/N) replied, returning the sass. 

"Wow!" Astro's eyes widened, as he pretended to be hurt. "I can't believe you don't think I'm charming." He went on as he picked her up and walked back to his bed. For second, Astro was unsure of where this confident, affectionate version of himself came from. He guessed it may have been there all along. He just never knew who the right person would be to share it with. 

"No, you are charming. Just not that charming." (Y/N) smirked as Astro sat his back against the wall, on his bed, with (Y/N) in his lap. 

"Well then if I'm not charming enough, then I won't ask you a question that I've been wanting to ask for quite a while." Astro said simply. 

"Question? What question?" (Y/N) replied quickly. 

"Oh, nothing. It was only small but it doesn't matter anymore." Astro rolled his eyes playfully. 

"Astro. Ask the question or I'm going to hit you." 

Astro scoffed, "you can try~ But I don't know if you knew, but I'm entirely made of metal. So, you wouldn't be able to- ow!" Astro stopped after (Y/N) punched him in his right shoulder. 

"And I don't know if you knew, but this arm right here is also made entirely of metal." (Y/N) copied him as she gestured to her right arm. "So it looks like you've met your match~" She shrugged. Astro looked at her and the blue core in his chest heated up. 

And just like that. 

Awkward Astro was back. 

"M-my match? So, like, you match me- l-like robot-wise or, or relationship-wise? Assuming we have a relationship! But if we don't then that's cool too! I'd be fine with taking things slow, completely up to you-!" 

Soft hands cupped his face, and even softer lips met his own. Astro stopped talking and melted into the kiss, as if it was natural instinct. He placed one hand on the back of her head and neck and ran his fingers through her (H/L) hair. Neither of them knew if this meant their relationship was official or not. But in that moment, neither of them cared about anything else in the world. It seemed, right then and there, everything was perfect. 

Until someone else entered the room.
