Astro and (Y/N) walked into the apartment to find Dr. Tenma had returned from his work. "Hey Dad!" Astro greeted. 

"Oh, hey son! Hey (Y/N)! Glad you guys are here, I wanted to ask (Y/N) something." Astro's dad mentioned. 

"Sure, what's up?" (Y/N) smiled. 

"I was just wondering if I'd be able to take measurements of your leg and arm stumps. Just so I can make sure the new prosthetics fit as perfect as they can." 

"Oh, um... yeah, no problem." (Y/N) agreed with slight hesitation. Although she trusted Dr. Tenma, she had never let anyone touch the places where her limbs used to be. Mainly because there was no reason to. Subconsciously, (Y/N) was glad Astro was there with her. Wherever she went, if Astro was there, it was as if nothing bad could happen to her. She loved his company, although she'd never admit it. 

"Don't worry, it'll be quick. I have to say, I'm very proud of how well they're going. They function perfectly and I'll make them shaped like your other leg and other arm." Bill Tenma explained with a wide grin. (Y/N) looked at Astro with... excitement. He'd never seen her look so happy. Sure, he'd seen her smile and laugh a little, but this was the first time he saw pure joy on her face. 

"But-" 

The joy disappeared. 

"-because they're so different to your old ones, you'll have to get used to them and learn how to walk again." Dr Tenma continued. "Which means you'll have to stay here until you can walk by yourself with no trouble." (Y/N) nodded in understanding. "But, you can stay here for as long as you like... you can keep Astro out of trouble while I'm not here." He whispered with a smirk and a wink. (Y/N) laughed a little. 

"He does need a babysitter." She agreed jokingly. 

"I'm right here." Astro intervened. (Y/N) and Dr Tenma laughed at his comment. 

"But, are you sure I can stay here? Because it seems you guys are busy on the daily." (Y/N) noted. 

"Trust me, it's no trouble. Beside, I'm sure Astro would love for you to stay here." Bill Tenma assured. Astro, once again, was so glad that he wasn't able to blush. Because it was true. He'd love to hang out with his crush more. And same goes for (Y/N) ;).

It got especially cold later that night. Astro's dad had gotten the measurements he needed and stayed in his room after dinner, Orrin presented a delicious dinner to the three of them, and Astro and (Y/N) hung out in Astro's room after all the food had disappeared. They decided instead of watching a movie on the TV, they'd use Astro's hologram-presenting laptop because his room was much warmer than the living room. They laid in Astro's bed and neither of them felt uncomfortable at all, excluding the moments they'd accidentally brush against each other so they'd scoot about a centimetre apart each time. But other than that, they had fun. They laughed at the comedy movie that (Y/N) had picked out and they both found it equally funny. 

As the movie slowly came to a close, (Y/N)'s eyelids started to get heavy. She tried her best to keep them open so she wouldn't be the first to fall asleep again. Even though Astro didn't need much sleep considering he was a literal robot, he still liked sleeping. Astro stopped the movie and slowly closed the laptop up, desperately trying to not make a noise. He extra carefully rose out of the bed and placed (Y/N)'s head off his shoulder and onto the pillow. He wasn't even off the bed before he noticed how much (Y/N) was shivering. He frowned at the sight of her in such discomfort and immediately went to get a blanket. Two, actually, just in case. He placed the blanket over her and up to her neck to make sure she stayed as warm as possible during the winter-like night. He tucked her in and walked towards the door, ready to sleep on the couch again. 

He froze abruptly at the sound of a groan and sigh. He slowly turned around to see (Y/N) with her eyes partly opened. "Did I wake you?" He asked in a whisper with an apologetic tone and an awkward smile. (Y/N) just shook her head and reached her arm out tiredly, yet Astro got the message. He smiled and walked back over to her. 

"Stay here..." (Y/N) whined then jumped tiredly a few seconds later when she realised what she said. "I mean- you don't need to. I was- I'm just cold an- I didn't mean-" But she just stopped herself from the risk of having to endure even more potential embarrassment. She was stuttering like Astro! She shut her eyes and sighed. Astro just laughed. 

"You want me to stay?" He asked, as he hoped her answer would be a yes. He liked that he wasn't the one stumbling over his words this time. 

"...Yes. But only because it's cold! No other reason." (Y/N) assured stiffly as she pointed her index finger at Astro. But obviously, it wasn't true. Astro raised his hands and laughed at how cute yet intimidating (Y/N) could be. It was one of the many, many, qualities he adored about her. He climbed over to where he previously was in his bed beside (Y/N) without trying to make it awkward. But as soon as he was under the covers once more, (Y/N)'s exhausted state returned as she snuggled right into Astro's chest. Even though Astro was practically made entirely of metal, he couldn't help but return the affectionate gesture and curled his arms around the warm girl. Although he didn't need physical heat, receiving warmth from (Y/N) was like receiving a triple-XL blanket of love. They both smiled widely, content. Yet neither of them noticed how happy they actually were as they both fell asleep in each others embrace. The one thing Astro did notice, was the fact that when the next morning would come, he would be able explain to (Y/N) what she had done and said before she gave into her much-needed slumber. And he couldn't wait for her reaction.

Okay, so, this chapter is a little short but I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out. 

This won't be the last chapter, because I have a few ideas on how to keep the story going :)
