DARIA'S P.O.V

"eunjeong, daria have you seen cha eunwoo is acting in true beauty now!" said hana as she showed and article on her phone her two friends. "are you also going to watch it? the first episode released yesterday!"

"of course i will, i couldn't ever miss out on that!" said daria and hana responded with a sigh. "doesn't he just look so dreamy?"

while eunjeong and hana drooled over a picture of the handsome actor, daria checked her phone for something and zoned off.

although daria was well liked by almost everyone and known for being smart, kind and pretty at school, she had a secret that she'd keep to herself.

her favourite hobby was pretty unconventional, so she even kept it from her friends.

despite being also interested in makeup and fashion, like the usual high school girl, daria's favourite past time activity was keeping up with robot combat.

whether it was going to local fights, watching shows like battle bots or looking up how to build a robot herself, she was into it.

at this point she didn't even remember how she found this strange hobby, but it didn't really matter. seeing the builders put all their knowledge into a single robot and then give it their all in the arena, whether it destroyed the bot or not, always made her feel a rush of adrenaline.

during the last year a new robot builder, who called himself leo, started taking part in battles in the local community and over time daria became a huge fan of his.

his robot dynamite had a powerful vertical spinner, but also almost no armor. but due to the builders driving skills, he got quite a few wins.

although she was a big fan, she never really interacted with the guy in real life. still she sent him supportive tweets before competitions, but he never replied.

the calender app on her phone had the 12th of april marked. it was the day of a national league robot competition that leo would be taking part in. it was the day that she had decided for herself, that she would try to approach him in person.

all in all, daria wasn't really interested in handsome actors like her friends. she liked watching people destroy each others toys violently in an arena.

but of course, she was never going to admit that.

LEO'S P.O.V

in only a few days leo would finally take part in the national competition that he had dreamed of taking part in since he had been a little boy, watching his father build a fighting robot.

for the future he dreamed of taking part in the show battle bots, but that was still too far away to bother with right now.

leo thought, he had been preparing perfectly, but then issues with the motor of the vertical spinner started. if he couldn't get them fixed immediatly, he could forget about taking part in the competition.

so he took a picture and posted about his concerns online, so he could eventually get some advice.

while doing so, he read some other replies to his recent tweets and saw one that made him smile.

d__ri2001 only 14 days left until the big day! keep fighting, you can do it, leo!

the account had been sticking out to him lately, since it always replied with kind and positive messages and seemed to probably belong to a girl. this was unusual, because all of his fans, that leo had ever met before, were men.

i really hope, i can do it he thought, before getting back to work.

a/n: i'm back, i'm four years older and i like watching robot fights now. but i promise, there won't be too many robot details and more cute shit in the future :)
also i'll try my best on updaring every friday, as i'm trying to not make this too long
