There Is Way To Many Of Us

A/N:  I know that everybody doesn't like all these Dick stories so I'm gonna try to do this by Jason's P.O.V but in third person.  Based around Jason, this is.  Features whole Bat fam... :)

Also that video up there has nothing to do with anything, but it totally struck home to me, and is something that will always be in my heart.  Remember that bullying does not solve problems, and neither does being rude to people.  You never know that if you tease someone about something that it might not be okay to them... think about it.

---

Jason looked up at the ceiling, watching the light fixture swing back and forth across the ceiling, to the slight breeze, blowing through his black curtains and bringing chills up his spine.  He wanted to secretly paint his room someday.  Maybe paint it black... with gray trees that have no leaves, and they would have the illusion of a slight breeze.   Dried grass.... it would be pretty.

Sighing, he stepped out of his bed, and strained his ears to see if he could hear Dick's soft sighs from the adjourning room.

No?

That's weird.

Only slightly concerned about his eldest brother, he jimmied the lock that led from his bedroom to his brothers and walked silently into the room.  Okay, why wasn't his brother sleeping?  It wasn't his day for patrol.

It was Cass's and Steph's.

He silently padded out of the room and headed over to Damian's room.  Sometimes Dick would go there because of all the nightmares that Dami would have in the middle of the night.

He took his time getting there, one foot in front of the other.  The floor was pretty much well cushioned, helping the Bat Family to pad around silently, and creepily.  The carpet was... black.  Duh.  Batman people!

He decided to practice his silent cartwheels.  Doing a round-off, a resounding thud rang through the mansion.  Oops.  No more silent cartwheels.

"Jason?" A quiet voice rang through the halls, echoing like it always in the Bat house.

Tim.  Of course.  Tim was the lightest sleeper.  Well, maybe Dick and Damian were because of their nightmares.  They practically jumped in their sleep.  It was only the funniest thing ever.  But of course Tim slept lightly.  Out of all the Robins, he was practically the mini Batman, but nicer.

"Yeah Tim?" Jason asked, as his younger brother rounded the corner.  Tim's hair stuck out in different directions, like black spikes.  His blue eyes were pretty much half closed with sleep deprivation,"Um... you okay?"

"Lhdufa?" Tim asked, his words(word?) slurred.

"What is that you said?" Jason asked, taking in Tim's totally disheveled look.  The Batman pajamas, the Batman doll.  Hilarious.

"It was probably something along the lines of, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING UP AT THIS TIME OF NIGHT JASON?!" Dick said quietly from behind Jason.  It was creepy, Dick had the ability to just disappear and appear literally anytime he wanted.  CREEPY!  It was even creepier when Wally was alive, and he would tell the other Bat brothers stories of how Dick would just pop in and out of nowhere when he was in Young Justice.

"Was about to ask you the same thing..." Jason mumbled, noticing a wide awake Damian by Dick's side.

"Well Dami and I decided to go to the Batcave.  Wanna come?" Dick asked, leaping silently across the floor, sliding down the banister.

"Yeah!" Tim was suddenly all to awake,"I wanna come!"

"Dick's only going down there because it's Barbara's shift right?" Jason asked, silently laughing at the sight of the cute couple in his brain.  Barbara's slightly snarky, super sarcastic, 'I'll shoot you down you need it' attitude totally clashed with Dick's always amazing, never-ending niceness, 'tell me what the problem is I can fix it' attitude, but never-the-less, they always were so cute.

"And I'm only going down because Mother is visiting today!" Damian added, eyes shining with excitement, and he ran down stairs.  The ten year old showed an amount of exhilaration that was rarely shown in his serious attitude.

"Oh crap.  I forgot about that.  This'll be nice and awkward!" Jason said bitterly, remembering the Lazarus Pits,"Wait Dami?  Isn't today when Charlie, Helena, and both Katie and Kathy are coming?"

"I forgot about that.  Yeah, it is." Damian growled,"Full house day."

Full house day.  To the four Robins it was torture.  Every single member of the grand crime fighting team would join Batman in the Batcave to just talk, catch up, figure out new strategies, find new caves, complain, restock their materials, and do bat things.  These things happened about once a month.  All the bats would enter a different way, costume under their civvies, and in the middle of the cave, they would check their name off the giant list, because Batman needed to know who was there, and who he would need to stalk down to give materials too.  It was also just to check every member, there were so many that nobody could keep track anymore.

"Ugh..." Jason hated full houses.  So many people, sweating and talking to him.  He could barely keep himself awake when Tim started to talk about the equations of how far a bullet could be shot... and it was about guns!

---

Jason entered the Batcave, doing what he did every time.  He took stock of his surroundings.  Black, stalagmites, and stalactites hung or jutted out of the floors and ceilings.  The soft squeak of bats could be heard throughout the ever fabled cave.  The soft and literally deadly silence rang throughout the walls, somehow echoing into his ears.  The giant penny sat on one level, symbolizing Two Face, the evil villain, who always was holding a coin, and had two faces.  The giant joker card, symbolizing one of the most deadly villains that the Batfam would always have to keep facing.  Joker, and of course his sidekick Harley Quinn.

Bruce was working on his computer, Barbara flanking his right side, pointing to various mistakes on the giant screen from her all handy wheelchair.

Cass and Steph barged in, costumes off, and they were giggling about something strange.

Damian rushed towards someone coming out of the corner, Talia of course.  The tall pretty b.a brunette picked up her son and embraced him happily, calling him her beloved.

Sometimes Jason wished someone could call him their beloved.  He wished he could be with someone that loved him.  Someone that cared.  Pushing those feelings aside momentarily, he walked into the room.

"Hey marksman!" Steph shouted,"Still asleep?  Bats aren't supposed to be napping this time of night."

"It's not my job to stay awake!" Jason shouted back, which was true, as his shift was yesterday, and he had pulled an all nighter for three days in a row.

"You should be awake!  It's full house!  Your brothers are awake!" Cass retorted, and Jason noticed she immediately tensed after she said so.

He looked around and his eyes fell upon his 'brothers'.  They were hugging each other, actually Dick and Tim were hugging each other and Dami was hanging off Dick's back, and they seemed to be reminiscing something, laughing about a joke, with the momentary tear coming out of Tim's face.

Was that the reason Cass tensed?

"Wel... it's not my day!" Jason replied, when he noticed that Steph was looking at him like he already lost the argument.

"When was your day?" she asked, pulling an uncomfortable looking Cass away.

"Yesterday!" Jason shouted back.  Cass hadn't been with them that long, only a few weeks now.  She had been with them during their snowball fight adventure, but she had left after she looked and saw each of the Robins playing with each other(A/N: this may not make sense, but if you read Batgirls! the first chapter it will be more clear).  Everyday after that she seemed to ignore everybody else.

Suddenly Bette entered the room,"Hey people!"

"Howdy!" Charlie announced, swinging herself in right after.

"There is way to many of us!" Damian complained, watching as the Bat clan swung around the room silently taking stock of their surroundings.

Suddenly before anybody could argue the alarm started blaring and everybody's heads turned up.

Rushing out the multiple hard to find entrances in the Bat cave the giant group of heroes rushed out to save the bank from the Joker.

----

"I give up!" Joker moaned as he saw tons of black shadows looming over him threateningly,"I give up, just take me now and let it be the end.

Jason grinned and recalled Damian's earlier words 'There are way to many of us.'  But not in a bad way, in a way that was cool.  And Jason thought, darn it's so good that there are so many of us.
