The Whole Christmas Ordeal 2
Not my photo/comic... oh Jason :)
Recap: Jason just texted Dick that Damian was killing Santa's on the street because he believed they were 'Satan', Tim got mad because he thought no one loved him, Cass left to go to Steph's house, and Christmas for the Bats is falling apart.

"I didn't think he would really go that far..." Dick mused, typing something into his 'night work' computer.
"He's an Al Ghul, Dick, you really should of expected this. And you know what? Why don't we just send him back to Talia? I don't really think he's up to this game." Tim said haughtily, stretching his arms back around the chair, and grabbing an apple.
"Tim... will you quit acting all sour around him?" Dick asked, taking a bite of pasta and furiously typing something else into the computer, a frustrated look taking over his face.
"Hmph!" Tim huffed, taking a huge bite out of the ripe apple he had picked up, "I don't think that it's really fair... you picked HIM over ME."
"We've been over this before Timmy, do we really need to go over it again?" Dick asked, eyes not leaving the computer as he took a giant bite out of his pasta.
"I don't think so... besides that fact the you picked HIM over ME(ME!), I'm good." Tim replied, taking another bite out of his apple, and seeing Dick's face twist up he grabbed the computer from him, "Let me do this, you have some hacking skills, but I'm a bit better at cerebral stuff then you."
"You're right." Dick sighed, "I am the athletic graceful one. And Timmy, I picked Damian, because I view you as an equal. You've progressed so much as Robin, that you can't even progress anymore. You're just as good as me, maybe even better. Look, all I was doing was giving you a little push to something greater for you. Something that you were destined for. I was just giving you a bitty little shove. Plus, Damian needs Robin more than you. He needs the guidance of Batman to help him, he needs a father- I mean, someone to be like his father... someone to help him through this. I'm trying to give him that Tim. You don't need that. You're already good. You've created your own destiny. So stop being jealous, and get your head out of your @$$ and help me with him okay?"
Tim blinked at Dick a few times, then took a bite out of his apple and handed Dick's computer back, "I finished hacking into Damian's personal database, whatever do you need that for? And my head is out of my @$$ excuse your language."
Dick looked at the screen with little surprise at his younger brother's success, "Thanks Tim. Well your head's out of your @$$, but you seem a little," Dick paused, his face bracing for what seemed like a yelling, "jealous of Damian."
"JEALOUS?!" Tim screamed, his half eaten green apple falling to the ground and rolling across the empty soundproof room, "I am not jealous!"
Dick lifted his eyebrow, then took a bite of his pasta nonchalantly, "Sure, because that would explain why you're always so mean to him and why you always mock his Robin mantle and make him feel bad."
Tim's shoulders slouched, his hands shaking with slight anger, "YOU. ARE. SO.... right...."
Dick smiled at the revelation that he had slyly manipulated out of his brother, "I know Timmy, and it's okay. Damian's jealous of you and just wants you to like him."
"What?" Tim asked, his face shooting up and contorting into one of those really confused faces that you see on memes.
"Um... yeah, he practically bleeds the need to be accepted. He just wants people to like him, " Dick said, biting more pasta, then turning back to the computer, "Now we just have to figure out how to stop him from killing innocent people and erase any trace of Satan Claus in his head. Do have any idea who planted that idea in his head?"
"Um..." Tim paused, not exactly wanting to betray his girlfriends, but knowing it was for the better, "Steph."
"Of course." Dick said calmly, standing up and shutting the laptop, "Okay, ready to go?"
"Where?" Tim asked, crossing the room to pick up the apple he had dropped and tossed it like a basketball into the nearest trash can.
"Stephanie. We need to find a way to stop Dami... and I think questioning what she said to him exactly may help, you down with that?" Dick asked, pausing at the door a second as he awaited Tim's answer.
Tim sighed, the turned to his brother's waiting face, "I'll help, but this doesn't mean I'm willing to get along with him."
Dick smiled, "I know Timmy, and I don't expect you to. We just need to figure out a way to save Christmas for both us and all the Santa impersonators."
"Should we go to Steph first or to home?" Tim asked, opening the door and following his brother down the empty silent hallway.
"Stephanie's. Where else would we go? Plus, I think seeing Cass won't be so bad, because I know she's over there. And I know she let Jason use the cigarettes." Dick said, tapping the down button on the elevator, "I'll have to talk to her about that."
Tim stood patiently beside his brother, "I just hope that meanwhile, Jason can keep demon spawn in the house..."

"GET BACK HERE!!!!" Jason shouted at the top of his lungs, shortly coughing because he had inhaled some of his cigarette smoke.
"Nanana..." Damian replied in a monotone bored way, padding his feet as he jogged around the dining table, making sure to brush by the most important porcelain dishes that were on display to see if Jason would even try to catch them.
Jason didn't bother with the shards of glass that were crunching underneath his feet, "Give me back my cigarette box you little sh--!"
Damian cackled to himself and kicked a porcelain cat down before leaving into the living room, "Come and get it, clutz."
Jason narrowed his eyes and exhaled all the smoke that had went up his nostrils, "Get back here!"
"No thanks, I think it's high time that this assassin strikes all the Satan Claus impersonators around town again. I hope West reports on them again!" Damian said, his face the picture of pure evil.
Jason didn't care about Satan Claus at this point, "Give me my cigarettes back!"
"No thanks!" Damian said, throwing his sai up at the chandelier and watching as it crashed down onto the couch, "Plus I'm going out. I'll give you your cigarettes back if you let me go out?"
Jason glared, his eyes twitching, "Just give me the cigarettes, and I won't say a word."
Damian smiled at the victory, then pulled out his borrowed gun and tossed a cigarette box to his older brother, "Okay, here you go. I'll be going now."
Jason clenched his fists around the box, then opening it he discovered it was empty, "Why you little f---ing sh--! Get back here and fight you @$$!"
"No cussing please Master-" Alfred had just walked through the door, and had stopped short, "Bloody hell! What has happened here! What have you done?"
The mess in both the living room and dining room seemed beyond repair, and Alfred turned pale, "What of the Christmas decorations?"
Jason turned red and looked over nervously to the grand Christmas tree that greeted anybody when they walked through the mansion. The tree was bent all the way to the ground and ornaments littered the ground, and a few smashed presents had made their way all the way to the door. Candy canes were smushed against the wall, like someone has violently put them there. Jason gulped, fearing the wrath of Alfred.
"Oh dear me..." Alfred said, "Who did this?"
Jason looked at his toes then turned to look at his 'grandfather', "Damian."
"Christmas is ruined Master Jason... we have no tree now, and our dining room will take a good day to replace all the pots and jugs. I suppose we have some fake porcelain that we can put there. And the chandelier will take quite a bit of time to be replaced, and we'll certainly have to order a new couch... and I'll have to buy more candy canes for the tree. But those ornaments were irreplaceable, I'm not sure I can ever buy new ones..." Alfred said, turning around to take into stock the house he had worked so well to take care of.
Jason gulped, "Don't worry Alf, I'll help you. I can move the ruined couch out all by myself, along with the chandelier. You just worry about sweeping it all up and getting a few new porcelain items from the attic. We can just replace that chandelier with the one that you hung in the Batcave. We'll wash it off together, don't worry. Dick and I both had couches from our old homes, so we can turn those over to the living room. And when Dick and Tim come home, we'll all redecorate.... but I'm not sure what to do with the tree."
Alfred smiled weakly, his heart swelling slightly with pride as the renegade son/black sheep of the family offered his help, "Thank you so much Master Jason. I'm afraid we can't do anything about the tree at this point. And don't worry about the ornaments. I want to clean them up myself."
Jason gulped, afraid that Alfred's mood would suddenly change to angry, "I'm sorry Alf."
/\/\December 21, 2:21 P.M, Barbara Gordon's Apartment/\/\
"Oh please, I'm sure Harley Quinn totally got her butt kicked from you Babs." Steph scoffed as she said this, munching on a carrot as she sat on the couch next to Cass and across from Barbara.
Barbara rolled her eyes, "By both Robin and I. More of Dick though, it looked more like they were dancing when they fought."
"They are both acrobatic." Cass said, her face twisting up.
"No, but seriously, I wouldn't even fight her when he was there. I would just sit on a bar and watch as they bantered and fought, eventually watching as Robin cuffed her and Harley would just stand there with her wrists out." Barbara said, stretching her hands out of her wheelchair.
"I'm sure it was fun to watch!" Steph commented, finishing off her carrot and looking at Barbara.
"Are you kidding? I even taped it!" Barbara said, her glasses tipping off of her nose, "Oops."
Cass giggled, "Well, we'll have to wait for that another time. What are you guys doing for Christmas?"
Barbara smiled, as she picked up a coffee mug and looked down into it, seeing there was nothing there she set it back down, "Well, me and my Dad are going to be spending Christmas together. Just us two. We'll have breakfast, exchange our gifts for each other, and I'm sure just like every year, we'll get a package at our door from your family. Dad and I will then knit scarves and we'll have cocoa, just like every year. After we have our whole Christmas deal, we're going over to your house for dinner!"
Cass giggled happily, "Well finally, I guess I won't be the ONLY girl anymore. Sometimes listening to Dick sing in the shower every night is tiring. Not that you'll be there to hear that part! But of course you'll see Tim staring out the window in the middle of dinner and all of us trying to snap him out of it!"
Steph quieted down, jealousy pounding through her veins as she listened to her best friend talk about her brothers and such.
"What will you guys be doing before we go to your house anyway?" Barbara asked, taking in the small tidbit about her boyfriend singing in the shower.
"Well, I'm sure Dick will wake us all up by running around the house shouting 'CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!!', and I'm sure Jason will already be downstairs trying to plant a bomb in all the presents. After all that drama is over we'll open our presents, and Alfred will have Christmas breakfast all set out and we'll eat. Tim will have music going and I'm sure Damian will be trying to ruin Christmas even further..." Cass glared a little sadly, "After that we'll be having our huge holiday celebration dinner."
Barbara smiled, then turned her wheelchair to face Steph, "Boy I can't wait! Steph, you're coming right?"
"Yeah," Steph said, her face twisted into a face that described evil, "Of course I will."
Cass and Barbara exchanged a look, but before either could say anything, the doorbell rang.
"I would get it, but that potted plant is in the way. Cass, you don't mind do you?" Barbara asked kindly, putting down the mug she was holding.
"Who do you think it is?" Steph asked, her face smiling, "Harper? Charlotte?"
"No, Charlie's with Dinah and Cynthia today. Birds of Prey business. And I'm not exactly sure where Harper is.. but, it actually might be her." Barbara said, listing the possible people that would be coming through to her house. Suddenly a familiar yelp startled her upright and she smiled, "I think I know who's here..."
"Who?" Steph asked, her face curious.
"Just listen..." Barbara said, winking her eye, "You'll hear them."
In the distance Steph could hear the faint voices of Cass and two others... Dick and Tim... uh oh, what were they doing here?"
"Cassie!" Dick yelped, his face all smiles when he saw his younger sister.
"Hi Dick, how are-" Cass was cut off by a big hug.
"Hi Cass. Good luck with that." Tim said, walking past her.
"Thanks a lot..." Cass said, her face turning sour as she smiled softly at her brother and let herself drop to the floor.
"I know you let Jason use cigarettes while I was gone Cass..." Dick said cheerily his arm flung around her.
"Um... how did you know?" Cass asked leaning her head on his shoulders.
"I didn't, you just confirmed my suspicions!" Dick said.
"Darn it. I'm going to use that trick against you. You were warned." Cass said.
"Better run Dick." Tim said.
Steph sighed as she saw the three walk into the room. Dick's and Tim's noses were red.
"It just started snowing when we walked in." Tim explained to Barbara, "And we got into a fight on the way here. Apparently when Richard Wayne and Timothy Wayne are walking on the streets instead of Dick Grayson and Tim Drake it calls for a bunch of people trying to kill you."
"Well, it's nice to see you two here safe. What are you doing?" Barbara asked, her face smiling.
"We needed to talk to Steph for a second." Dick said, kissing Barbara on the nose and then looking at Steph, "Hope you don't mind, but it's a little urgent, and lives depend on it."
"What do you mean?" Steph asked, her face becoming confused.
"Oh well I don't know, my partner is basically killing people again. Everything that I've every achieved in almost a year has literally unraveled at my feet... and I don't know who did it!!" Dick said sort of sarcastically, looking directly at Stephanie.
"Dick!" Tim whispered, seeing the all to familiar rage in his eldest brother's face, "Cool your jets, will you?"
"Oops, yeah sorry. Sorry Steph, I guess I'm just really upset. Have any idea how Damian got this way?" Dick asked, the stress factor kicking in and his hand naturally ran through his hair.
Tim blinked and rubbed both of his eyes, "Man, this is bad. If you have girls have any idea who might have had any idea to do with this can you tell us?"
All three girls took in the looks of the two boys. Dick hair looked slicked back, like he had been running his hand through his hair a lot. He was yawning under his hand and his coat, scarf, and gloves looked like he had been through a fight. Tim's eyes had large bags under them, from maybe a lot of crying. His sweater had a giant hole that looked like it had been deliberately torn.
Barbara looked extremely apologetic as she faced the two beaten looking boys, "No, none of us would have done that to him Pixie Boots. I'm really sorry, and if there is anything I can do, I'll do it."
"I know Babs." Dick smiled brilliantly, because he knew who had told Damian about Santa Claus without his permission was Stephanie because Tim had told him. He was just waiting for her to admit it, "We'll be leaving now. I just hope that his recent behaviour won't at all interfere with our dinner. Oh and Steph, you are invited, sorry we didn't tell you earlier."
"I'm invited?!" Steph jumped off her perch on the couch with agility only few members of the Bat-family possessed.
"Wait, you weren't invited? You were just lying to us? I could have told you you were invited!" Cass asked, her feeling hurt the slightest.
Steph looked torn at her best friend and at the two boys who seemed to be leaving.
Meanwhile Dick pulled a really confused Tim along with him. You see, Dick is really the master at manipulating people into doing things or saying things. Just like he did with Tim and Cass earlier. So he dragged Tim all the way to the door and walked out, "Bye Babs! Cass, come home in a while okay? Bye Steph!"
"What are you doing Dick?" Tim whispered under his breath, "You know it was Steph who did it..."
"Just wait for it." Dick said, walking his brother down the snowy street.
Steph took one last look at her best friend, Cass, who looked very disappointed, and rushed out the door, "Wait... Dick! Tim! I have something that I need to say!"
Dick stopped, pulling Tim next to him, then turned around and acted confused, "You do?"
"Yes. It was me who told Damian about Santa." Steph admitted.
Dick smiled under his scarf, then tugged Tim, who was shivering, next to him, "Why?"
"I... I was just jealous." Steph admitted again, turning away.
Dick turned to Tim, letting his brother take it from there, "Why would you be jealous?"
"Because... I just wanted to be part of your family. It's just that... I don't know my mum, and my dad is evil... and then I see you guys." Steph paused a bit before continuing, "I mean, sure you guys are dysfunctional. You all come from different families, from different places, different upbringings, but you still love and accept each other for who you are as individuals, and that brings you together as a family. You've got each other to get through anything, and you act like you've known each other your whole life."
Tim looked up at Dick, who didn't seem phased at all, then he nodded to Steph, who looked like she wanted to say more, "I'm sorry. I just never had a family like that before. And I wanted to be part of yours so badly that I just didn't realize that Damian would actually believe me and needed to be told in a... slightly normal environment with you Dick. I just never had... a real family before."
Dick looked at Steph and brought her to his chest, hugging her tight and not letting go, "You were always part of our family Steph, you just didn't realize it. And I don't think that you realize it... but you already have a real family." Dick twirled the girl around and made her face Barbara and Cass, both with worried expressions on their faces as they rushed down to Steph, who had tears in her eyes."
"Are you okay?" Cass asked Steph, hugging her to her chest, "Why didn't you tell me?"
Barbara reached up to Steph and patted her hand, "You'll be fine. Whatever your going through we'll be there for you."
Cass looked at Steph again after breaking her hug, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah," Steph looked behind her, and seeing Tim wink at her before jumping away into the dark alleyways with his older brother, she said with utter confidence, "I'm fine. Just fine."
A/N: Sorry it took long to update, but I hope this was worth it. Put a little Steph, Cass, and Babs in there, because... you can't have all the bird boys running over Christmas.
I really hope you guys like this :)
