TWENTY-FIVE

Hoseok patted down his outfit, removing any dirt stains and such. It had minor wrinkles but other than that, it was completely fine. Surprisingly his outfit wasn't as dirty as he thought it would be. He had just finish his hair. Styled back to show his forehead. One small strand had refused to be slick back and tickled against his forehead. Wooyoung, the hair stylist, was gushing about how handsome he was with his hair pulled back.

All Hoseok did was chuckle nervously and thanked him for the compliment. He really didn't know what else to say. Wooyoung was a eccentric man who crackled like a witch but was nice nevertheless, though it caught Hoseok off guard and awkwardly smile the whole time. So once the crazy hair stylist told him he was done, he scrambled out of the tent while thanking him for his hair.

Now Hoseok stood in Seonghwa's tent while looking in the mirror. The sun was on the horizon line, creating a soft orange hue. The wind picked up and it started to cool down from the hot summer day. Everything was almost ready, it was nearly time. Surprisingly, Hoseok was calm and more than ready to go dance with his dove. That along caused him to smile. That's when Hoseok glanced through the mirror to watch the others get ready.

Seonghwa was busy fixing Yoongi's outfit that apparently got ripped while he tried to contain Namjoon from earlier. His outfit was white blazer with a sheer black shirt underneath. Only one button was sealed while the rest showed skims of his skin. He had white trousers that faded into a black, similar to Hoseok's own pants. His hair was slicked back, once again similar to the prince. He had a feather necklace around his neck and feather earrings. Yoongi was milking in jewelry without any shame. He even had more rings than Hoseok and that was to say something since Hoseok was literally a prince who wore silver and gold jewelry everyday when he was in the palace.

Jungkook was fixing his hair that he messed up earlier from nerves while Seokjin patted down his shirt, looking calm and collected as he always did. His outfit was simple. A white dress shirt with a leather corset around his waist that hugged him nicely. His pants were tight and white with black feather patterns dancing around the leg. He had black fingerless gloves with a white feather necklace. His hair was simply parted in the middle to showcase his forehead.

Jimin was tying his black boots. His outfit was nearly as fancy as his looks. He had a white dress shirt that was open with a black long turtle neck underneath. A black corset wrapped around his waist rather nicely. His hair was slicked to the side while little strands of hair tickled his forehead. He had the same matching necklace they all had to wear with more chains and earrings. He was the only one who wore black trousers that had white feather designs up the pant leg.

Taehyung, on the other hand, was still hiding in the changing room. No one knew how his outfit looked yet. Hoseok glanced through the mirror to look at the changing room. But the curtain always remained closed. Hoseok sighed, knowing well that Taehyung was definitely avoiding him. It's been months and Taehyung doesn't even say hi. Hoseok almost knew for sure that Taehyung was avoiding him especially after the whole thing Namjoon caused. Hoseok didn't even know what punishment he received from Y/n but he could only assume it was terrible.

"Hoseok!"

Hoseok blinked and whirled his head around. Yoongi had called him.

"Ah, yes Hyung?" Hoseok answered. Yoongi walked to him, narrowing his eyes at the tall male.

"I've been calling your name, why are you so spaced out?" Yoongi scoffed. Hoseok rubbed behind his neck with a weak chuckle.

"He's nervous. Who can blame him? He's dancing with Y/n while everyone stares at him." Jimin shrugged.

"It's actually not that—"

"Wait really Hyung?! Is that why your so out of it!?" Jungkook gasped, rushing to his side quickly.

"No—"

"Relax Jungkook, your gonna overwhelm him if he's that nervous." Seokjin clicked his tongue.

"You can't be serious, there's no way you can be nervous now. The dance is an hour." Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"But actually I'm not—"

"There's no reason to lie prince. It's natural getting nervous. Especially since everyone is staring at you." Jimin came over to pat his back which caused Hoseok to stumble forwards with how hard he patted. Jungkook walked over and shoved Jimin out of the way.

"Stop! Your gonna make it worse Jimin Hyung! Don't you see how speechless he is?! He's nervous!" Jungkook exclaimed, wrapping his arm around Hoseok's neck. Hoseok released a heavy sigh, slumping his shoulders. The amount of abuse he was receiving was tiring.

"I'm not nervous—"

"Is that why you had to push me?! You little brat—"

"You two better not fight in my tent! This is my designer tent! Can you go take that outside?! I just cleaned up from earlier!" Seonghwa yelled, narrowing his eyes at Jimin who looked like he was going to jump at Jungkook at any second.

"We apologize Seonghwa. We are not going to fight again, right?" Seokjin warned, giving a tight smile to the two boys. Jimin frowned, crossing his arms and averting his gaze somewhere else. Jungkook nodded with a lazy shrug.

"Not like I was the one going to throw their small chubby hands." Jungkook said flatly. Jimin's eye twitched as he whirled his head to face Jungkook.

"You little a**hat!"

"W-wait! Can Jungkook let go of me first, I don't want Seonghwa coming after me—" Hoseok was cut off not even a second later when Jimin pounced on Jungkook. Hoseok let out a scream as he fell down with Jungkook. Jungkook on the the hand, was laughing while Jimin was hitting him. His laughter echoed while Jimin was angrily slapping his arms. He got angrier the louder Jungkook's laughter became.

With all that chaos, no one paid attention to Taehyung who slipped out of his curtain. He blankly watched the two wrestle. Seokjin was trying to get Jimin off Jungkook who still held Hoseok as hostage, while repeatedly apologizing to Seonghwa. Yoongi was still standing still as Seonghwa was stitching up his rips. Seonghwa was glaring at Jimin and yelling at him that he was ban from ever entering his tent.

Taehyung's eyes flickered to Hoseok's who was squirming in Jungkook's hold. His hands slapped against his bicep to be released but didn't prevail. Taehyung felt a tinge of hatred bloom in his chest the longer he stared at the prince. His stare harden, clenching his jaw. A dark aura surrounded him like a thunder storm lurking over the sky. Taehyung scoffed and walked out of the tent. Yoongi's dark eyes watched him leave, his dark aura hitting him like the vile smell of death. He narrowed them slightly, an uneasy feeling rose in his chest. Never has he ever seen Taehyung give a look like that.

"—Yoongi!"

Yoongi flickered his eyes with a lazy look towards Seokjin who called him.

"Wha?"

"Help me!" Seokjin yelled.

"No! He's not moving until he's done. You guys are literally older than me! At least act like it!" Seonghwa yelled. All Jungkook did was stick out his tongue and Jimin just shrug, his hands around Jungkook's throat. Hoseok only apologize to Seonghwa with a sheepish smile.

"You don't need to apologize Hoseok, you've been nothing but kind to me. Those two however, can fall down the hill for all I care!"

"What is going on here?"

Everyone tensed and stopped their movements. Y/n had walked in with little Eri in her arms. Y/n only had her hair done while she still wore the same clothes from earlier. She was staring at them strangely, readjusting Eri on her hip. Eri was wearing a black dress that matched Seokjin's outfit with small white feather stitching on the bottom. Her white king hair was pulled into a braid with a black ribbon. Her red eyes blinked at them while she continued to eat her piece of bread.

"Jungkook started it!" Jimin said as he scrambled to get off Jungkook. Jungkook sat up with Hoseok still in headlock.

"I didn't even do anything! We were all just trying to make Hoseok Hyung more relax since he was nervous." Jungkook explained, glaring at Jimin. Y/n's eyes flickered to Hoseok who gaped at Jungkook's response.

"For the last time, I'm not nervous! I'm actually pretty calm." Hoseok whined, moving Jungkook's arm way from his neck. Everyone blinked at him.

"You are? Then why are you spacey?" Seokjin asked, extending his hand to help the prince up. Hoseok took his hand as Seokjin helped him up.

"I'm just thinking about stuff. But not about the dance. You guys got chaotic for no reason." Hoseok pat down his wrinkles. Y/n shook her head letting a small chuckle past her lips. She set down Eri who immediately ran to Seokjin. She hugged his leg as he patted her head.

"That sounds like them. Now hurry and go take your places already, we are almost on." Y/n said, nudging her head towards the tent flaps. Seokjin picked up Eri as he nodded along to Y/n's words.

"Alright. Let's go everyone, come on. Oh Yoongi, can you get Taehyung?" Seokjin asked, letting Eri lay her head on the crook of his neck. Hoseok immediately beamed at the sight of Eri and cooed at her cuteness. Eri smiled, giggling at Hoseok poking her sides. His heart soaring at the sight of her cute dress. Yoongi fixed his sleeve once Seonghwa was done with his stitching.

"He already left." Yoongi said simply.

"Oh. Okay, then the rest of you, let's go. And Hoseok stop playing with Eri." Seokjin smacked his hand away while Hoseok snickered and gave a teasing smile.

"Your just jealous I'm her favorite."

Seokjin narrowed his eyes at the prince and scoffed.

"You wish. I'm her father so therefore I'm automatically her favorite. Now get out, your in the center." Seokjin used his free hand and shoved the prince forward. Hoseok laughed but complied to what the older said. He shoved his hands in his pockets while walked out of the tent but not before flashing Y/n a smile and winking at her. Y/n look taken aback, her eyes widen just a fraction before she quickly regained her posture. Even her heart played tricks with her and skipped a beat.

"Come on loverboy, move." Yoongi gave Hoseok one last shove causing him to stumble.

"Sorry!"

Y/n bit her lip to keep her laughter in but failed miserably and let a small giggle escape her lips. That all it took for Hoseok to blush and smile like a love struck puppy. With that, he slipped out of the tent since Yoongi was pushing him out annoyed at his behavior.

"Here's your outfit Y/n." Seonghwa's voice caught her attention. Y/n whirled her head to face the designer who held out her outfit. She walked over to grab it, taking it in her arms. Before she could even get another word to leave her mouth, Hoseok popped his head back in the tent. Y/n and Seonghwa turned to face the prince.

"Yes Hoseok?"

"Ah, can I speak with Y/n real quick?" He asked with a crooked smile. Seonghwa nodded, getting up from the chair he was sitting on and left the tent. Y/n walked over to the changing room, opening the curtain to neatly put down her costume. That's when she heard footsteps right behind her. Then two arms around her waist. She tensed, looking over her shoulder to see Hoseok. He smiled the moment their eyes met.

"Hoseok—"

"You know I love you, right?"

Y/n felt the back of her neck heat up. His breath near her neck and ear. She shuddered a little before scoffing, acting like she didn't care.

That was unexpected.

"Is that all you have to tell me?" Y/n turned her head, her hands patting down the outfit. Hoseok nodded, laying his chin on her shoulder.

"Yes and no. Why have you been avoiding me again?" Hoseok asked. He felt her stiffen once more. Her hands coming to a halt.

"I-I'm not avoiding you." Y/n coughed out, trying to resume her patting even though the wrinkles were long gone. Hoseok nodded, only tightening his hold on her waist.

"Really? Then why are you so stiff right now? Another thing my dove, for two days you've been walking the other way the moment you see me. You sure you aren't?"

"I've been busy. I have last minute stuff to do." Y/n cleared her throat. It suddenly felt dry and her whole face felt hot. Why was she being so flustered anyway?

"And the stiffness?"

"Well your basically holding me hostage." Y/n remarked simply. Hoseok laughed, squeezing her in embrace.

"Am not. We all know how fast and quick you'll throw me out of the tent." Hoseok place a kiss on her cheek then letting go of her. He stepped back to lean against a nearby chair. Y/n turned her head to once again face him.

"Really is that all you have to say to me?" Y/n asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah. Your avoiding my question so I could only assume you don't want to talk about it. You do that a lot you know? Anyways, you should get ready my dove." Hoseok pushed himself off the chair. He walked over to wrap one arm around her waist and leaned down to give her a kiss on her cheek once more before turning his heel to walk away. Y/n quickly caught his arm, stopping him.

"Wait—"

Hoseok turned to face her once more, blinking.

"Yes?"

Y/n cleared her throat, letting go of his wrist. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear while averting her eyes elsewhere.

"Your outfit, you look good."

Hoseok beamed, a blush peppering his cheeks despite him smiling so wide.

"Are you saying I look handsome?" Hoseok teased, his fingers reaching out to play with his necklace as he stood there with a cocky smile. Y/n suddenly felt hotter. Why was his cocky smile so attractive?

"Yeah. Whatever. Now get out!" Y/n shoved him forward while Hoseok laughed. Her push didn't even move him. He suddenly wrapped his arms around her waist again. He quickly leaned down to kiss her lips for moment then pulled back. His hand raise up to caress her cheek.

"I love you."

"Stop saying that." Y/n slapped his arm with a grumble. Hoseok only gave another kiss on her cheek before moving to the side of her head to place another kiss. He shook his head playfully as he nuzzled his way into her hair.

"I love you, I will always love you." He whispered.

"You're ridiculous. You can't love someone forever." She huffed quietly. Hoseok chuckled, placing his cheek against her head. His arms had now moved up to wrap around her.

"Want me to prove it to you then?"

Y/n couldn't physically take it anymore and pushed him away. Her cheeks felt hot, too hot. The loud thumping of her heart was beating against her chest and ears. She started to fan herself rapidly with her hand. She needed to cool down but she felt flustered all over. What the heck was this man doing to her? And why did he look so strongly kissable at the moment?

"Y—You! Stop that!"

"Stop what?"

"Being you! Too many—why are you—F*ck You!" Y/n yelled as she scrambled inside the changing room and quickly shut the curtain. Hoseok blinked, rubbing behind his neck. Perhaps just as flustered as her. His own cheeks grew rosy but that didn't stop the smile that started to spread to his lips.

"I love you too dove. I'll see you in a bit okay?"

She didn't respond but Hoseok didn't even lose his smile. He started to walk out of the tent, happy as ever. The thumping in his heart couldn't stop nor the heat from his cheeks. Not like he minded anyway.

⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

The sun had officially settled down the horizon and the moon pulled out with its blanket of darkness and sparkly blinking lights. A large bonfire was near the center of the camp. The people bustled and settled themselves on the grass or tree logs they could find. The fire burned and licked each wood that it was fed. A soft crackling noise and the mutters of people filled the dark forest. They mutter excitedly while glancing at the dancers who were getting in position. Frankly only the men were there, the woman were taking their time as usual. While the men had conversed amongst themselves with burning excited.

"Now my palms are sweaty." Hoseok whispered to Jungkook. He had leaned his head near Jungkook who was stretching. Jungkook bit his lips to keep his laughter in. It was too quiet to be burst out laughing like a manic.

Well some men were.

Others, mainly the prince, were nervous.

"Oh now your nervous?" Jungkook whispered back. Hoseok stretched his arms over his head while weakly glaring at Jungkook.

"I don't think it would be the whole camp watching!"

"Yeah, that's how it is? Everyone likes the dancing more then you know, the gossip and see who looks together and who doesn't." Jungkook shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest once he was done stretching.

"Seriously?"

"I'm being dead serious. Every year the older woman would see who's good for their daughters and who isn't. Dancing is a big here Hoseok, and since Y/n didn't have any parents for years, who normally judged her partner was Namjoon's mother. But you know, no pressure." Jungkook had grin, while Hoseok's face fell.

"What!?"

"Shh! Hoseok Hyung! The girls are starting to come out!" Jimin had quickly shushed Hoseok who was wide eyed and sweaty. He stood awkwardly as one by one each woman came out with their bright outfits. Jungkook bumped his shoulder against Hoseok catching his attention.

"Namjoon's mother is over there, so try not to slouch. You are a prince after all, everyone is going to judge you." Jungkook whispered, nudging his head towards the crowd. It wasn't hard to spot her, Namjoon looked like an nearly exact replica of his mother. Only difference was her gray hair that was straight and cut to her chin. She stood up with her head high and two hands on her walking crane. Hoseok's flickered to the moon symbol. It was identical to the one Namjoon wore. Hoseok swallowed hard. She basically raised Y/n so being on her bad side would mean being on her mother's bad side. Now Hoseok was more nervous than before.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Hoseok whispered with a frown. Jungkook stood up straight, then side glanced to the prince.

"Because you would've backed out. Now head up and smile, Y/n is coming." Jungkook whispered as he patted his back. He then jogged to his position with Hoseok behind him. Hoseok stood in the center with the other dancers circling him in a large circle. Taking this opportunity since no one could really see him, Hoseok threw Jungkook a small glare. All Jungkook did was shrug with a lazy smile.

'Smile!' Jungkook mouthed, using his fingers to show the corner of his lips pulled into a smile. Hoseok wanted to frown but put a smile. Jungkook gave him a thumbs up before staring forward.

Hoseok nearly dropped his smile if wasn't for the loud drumming that started to echo through the forest. His eyes glanced at the drummers banging against the large drum. It startled him, forcing him to come back to reality and stand straight. He place his left hand behind his back while one remained in the front. His left foot was over his right. The men around him did the same but none felt the nerves Hoseok felt. The girls walked in one by one, grabbing their partner's hand. His thumping in his ear started, he swallowed hard. A thin layer of sweat covered his skin.

His dark eyes flickered for a second to the person Y/n was raised by. Her eyes were already staring at him. The thumping in his ear only increased.

No.

He should ignore it.

Hoseok inhaled sharply through his nose, relaxing his tensed muscles. He fluttered his eyes open only to meet with Y/n walking towards him. Her outfit was nearly all black if it wasn't for the shirt that was identical to his. It was white with one sleeve off. It was instead replaced with a black glove like his. Except his was on the left and hers was on the right. She had a leather corset that hugged her waist nicely, tied up to the top. Then she wore black cotton pants that were tight and fitted her rather nicely. She wore knee length boots that had many laces. But what dragged behind her was a long veil that was decorated with many black feathers.

His breath hitched as her warm hand took his. She wasn't looking at him, her eyes had averted to the grass. Hoseok felt the corner of his lips twitch.

She was being shy.

He slowly pulled her closer to him, ignoring the stares and woo's he heard in the background, it all faded away. The moment his eyes locked on hers, he completely let his focus only be her. She had hesitantly looked at his eyes. They glowed and sparkled like the stars over the dark blanket in the sky.

"Nervous?" Hoseok whispered with a teasing grin. Y/n flickered her gaze to him, she gave him a weak glare. But the pout on her lips told him otherwise. She nodded slowly.

"Just a bit." Y/n whispered back. Hoseok placed his other hand on the middle of her back. His eyes never left hers. He leaned down near her ear while her eyes flickered back to the grass.

"You look beautiful dove."

Y/n stiffen, her face slowly heating up. The words were too caught up in her throat to respond. She couldn't even say a smart remark. She was nervous not because people were watching, she was nervous if she would keep her emotions in check. Already she felt like her heart was going to burst out of her chest. The bonfire glow casted him, it made him appear for desirable. It hit her like a large gust of wind knocking the air out of her lungs. The music wasn't even reaching her ears. She felt herself slowly lose herself into the moment. She feared this but there wasn't anything she could do. Her mind only wanted to focus on him.

Hoseok had pulled back to flash her a gentle smile. His lips moved but her ears couldn't pick it up. It drowned with how hard and loud her heart thumped. All she did was nod mindlessly, her stare locked into his dark brown eyes. He pulled his lips into another smile. She could only assume the music had started from the way Hoseok started to move.

His hand slipped out of her back and was placed behind his own. His hand still held hers as he started to walk around her. Y/n watched him, her lips parted slightly. He twirled her around, his arm around near her waist and her back pressed against his chest. He carefully stepped behind her so he wouldn't damage her long veil of feathers. Y/n knew this part but her body couldn't move, instead her head was raised to continue to look at Hoseok. Her hands froze in mid air.

"Dove, move." Hoseok's lips were near her ear and that snapped her back into reality. Her eyes blinked before looking forward. She nodded and started to move her feet to side while her hips moved according to the beat. Hoseok followed behind her, his hips against hers but his hand relaxed near her waist and hipbone. Her brain was muddy and she couldn't focus. She tried to blink her eyes back to reality but her eyes kept trailing back to Hoseok who was behind her. Her stiff muscles had relaxed completely contrast to what she wanted. She should be alert at all times, why was she trying to get lost in the moment? It was like just one touch from him caused her to relax and feel safe.

Hoseok twirled her around once more, this time they were facing each other once more. He took both her hands, placing one on his shoulder and the other he held. He moved the same way they moved before, moving more his hips then his feet. But as he stared down at her, she was already looking at him with adoration. Her eyes sparkled once more and they held a soft haze. He was nearly taken aback from her soft stare. His heart skipped a beat but his body continued to move on his own.

"Dove?" Hoseok whispered softly. Y/n hummed, fluttering her eyelashes. Hoseok nearly melted, her eyes hiding behind the soft curtain of lashes. He was starting to wonder if that thing Jungkook mention really was true.

"Are you okay?" He asked twirling her around once more, again going back to the position as before.

"I'm lovely." She hummed out. The words escaping her lips moved faster than her thought process. She fluttered her eyelashes once more.

"Are you still nervous love?"

"No. Why? Are my palms sweaty still?" Hoseok whispered, his eyebrows furrowed just slightly. Y/n giggled, having to let go of his hand to cover her mouth.

Oh yeah, Hoseok was definitely going to melt in front of everyone.

"Oh love, no, I'm just teasing." Y/n whispered back while giving him a soft smile.

"F*ck I love you."

Y/n blinked, placing her hand back with his. She looked at him a little taken back at his sudden remark. His eyes held nothing but genuine warmth and love. His cheeks were slightly pink but faded into the fire light that casted on him.

"H-huh?"

Hoseok didn't even get to respond to her as the beat changed. Instantly Hoseok twirled her around once more where they were hips were near each other and he placed his hand on her hipbone.

Y/n felt hot as she tried to ran herself. She looked at him with a pout.

"What did I say about saying that?"

"Can't help it when your looking at me like I'm the only one for you." Hoseok whispered without any hesitation. Y/n immediately whirled her head to face straight again. She moved her body along the beat but Hoseok was dangerously close as his feet moved to the side.

"Aren't I?" His lips were near her ear once more. Y/n tried to ignore him but his hand had moved from her hip to her waist. He lightly squeezed it to catch her attention.

Y/n swallowed thickly, her eyes trailing slowly to met his again.

'Is this how Hoseok felt each time she teased him?'

'God, why was her heart thumping so fast and hard?'

'Why did he look so kissable more than usual?'

'What kind of spell was he using on her?'

She didn't even realize she had stopped moving her feet and was just staring at him. Hoseok stopped moving as well. The people around them formed a big circle around them, leaving them from prying eyes. It would only be for a moment before the end of the dance came so Hoseok didn't even wait a second longer. He twirled her back around, and wrapped one arm around her waist. He dipped her just a bit. His eyes in a haze just like hers despite how hot her face felt. He leaned closer while she did the same. She's kissed him multiple times before yet her heart beat as if it was her first time all over again. Their face leaned towards each other until—

He kissed her.

Outfits that some people asked for, disclaimer I'm a sucky artist with very little to no patience in art and even less so on my confidence in drawing other than that, I hope you guys enjoyed them ps, I'm not a designer in any sort, these are just multiple designs smashed into one. (I actually drew Hobi in the outfit but didn't like it so if you guys ever want to see it just ask and maybe I'll post it)
