THIRTY THREE
Trust in me
Just in me
Shut your eyes
Trust in me
That was a song Hoseok heard so many times. It echoed in his brain at times like a forgotten lullaby. But if he remembered correctly, that lullaby was merely a wolf in sheep clothing. His mother had told him once that the song was apart of a story where the snake begged the child to trust in him in exchange for his help. Of course the child listened, trusting in the serpent for his own safety and yet in the end, the child was eaten. It was a lesson for children to not trust strangers so willingly. Yet many people didn't know that such a song really came from such a story. But Hoseok knew some people would quote the famous rhyme knowing full well what the meaning was. It had a double meaning. So of course he was wary of the princess who spoke those words in a soft tone.
She was the serpent.
Hoseok had sat next to her on the large banquet table with others present. His face was cold and uninterested as people but his hair stood up by the mere whisper of Princess Celestrina. She slithered and whispered like a snake. It was almost like she was trying to make him waver. Such words of 'trust in me' never were good when it came out of a serpent. Her smile was bright and her expression was soft like any other princess. She talked sweetly that was as sweet as honey and fluttered her long eyelashes. Almost like she was attracting flies with her honey dripping voice. She didn't even show the slightest discomfort of him ignoring her despite fighting him earlier. Instead she whispered those words almost like she was expecting something.
That unsettled him.
Even though he was sitting straight with his fingers twirling the wine cup in his hands. His eyes flicker around his surroundings. With such a cold expression no noble wanted to even speak to him. Some praised him of being so much like his father, mostly those who favored the king and wanted something in return. That made Hoseok twitched his eyebrow. His lips nearly pulled into a frown.
That wasn't even his father. That's was a man who robbed him of everything as he does with the nation. Rob everything they value and strip them of nothing. Hoseok closed his eyes to hold back a sigh. He felt too uneasy. The princess was too relax for his liking and the people talked as if he wasn't there. The king hasn't even utter a word to him to complain how he treated the princess. Hoseok tapped his finger against the table as he set down his wine cup. He opened his eyes once more to glance at the princess. She was talking to some noble that sat across them, her smile bright and voice soft.
Everything's too calm.
Everything's too still.
His eyes then trailed around the table. Only a handful of Y/n's men were around, nearly blending in with the nobles as they spoke freely but still on alert. Seokjin was amongst them and so was Jungkook. They sat next to each other with bright smiles as they talked. Y/n wasn't present but it would be dangerous if she was.
Why was everything calm?
Hoseok glanced behind his shoulder before looking at his plate. The knights were around them with their stances prepared for anything. Their hands gripped the swords around their waist. Their eyes glancing around every now and then.
Something is wrong.
Hoseok once more glanced at Seokjin who talked but that's when he realized that Seokjin was speaking slowly. His lips spoke another story while his words seem harmless. It was like he was telling anyone who knew him what happened.
'The princess knows.'
Hoseok felt his stomach drop.
'Knows? Know about what? Y/n's plan?'
Surely and slowly your senses will cease to exist.
Hoseok looked at Princess Celestrina who was already looking at him. She was smiling so sweetly but that only made his stomach flutter with nerves. How could he forget the nursery rhyme? She was a serpent after all who spoke in whispers and fluttered her eyelashes. She knew about Y/n being here. How could she not? She was supposed to keep tabs on her. That means someone ratted out Y/n to the princess. No wonder she didn't bother looking for the prince earlier nor question where he was, because she knew. His heart thumped in fear. It was small but his eyes widen for a small fraction while the serpent batted her eyelashes and smiled. Her finger tapping against the table in a rattlesnake rhythm. The way her eyes glistened with darkness only confirmed what he feared.
She leaned in his ear, speaking in hush whispers while the world continued to move.
"Didn't I say to trust in me? Just in me? Why the sudden expression? Or does the prince know how the rhyme goes?" She spoke. Hoseok flinched back but his expression didn't change. Though the princess already knew how effected he was.
"You know, it was a serpent that divided Adam and Eve. I wonder if it will work again."
⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️
Her arrow was sharp and pointed like a sword blade. Yet the feathers at the ends tickled her cheek as her eyes narrowed. Her fingers gripping the hard wooden arrow and bow. The bow was old and chipped from the amount of battles it's been through. Her white dress was ripped off by her skirt leaving her in nothing but the dress top. Underneath her dress was black leather pants and her sparkly white shoes replaced with thick rubber boots. She looked like Cinderella after the magic wore off.
Y/n was hiding behind a pillar with several men doing the same. Most blending in the shadows. Her eyes watched the people below speak and talk without a care in the world. Without knowing they were being hunted and stalked.
So easily could the arrow measly slip through her once delicate fingers. Honestly she couldn't even remember when was the last time her fingers and palms were so soft and delicate like a flower. If anything they were heavily scarred and rough. Her hands weren't like the princess who sat with her taunting eyes near her lover. That boiling hot feeling bubbles inside her chest like a volcano ready to burst.
Y/n inhaled deeply as a way to calm her bubbling mess of jealousy. It was only temporary. But the murderous thoughts plunged through her mind endless.
"Robin, relax."
Namjoon had whispered near her ear. His voice made her snap whatever daze and murderous thoughts she was thinking about. She flickered her dark eyes at the tall male who was blending in the shadows. The bottom of his face covered in a cloth like hers. But her dress top gave her away of being a girl if it wasn't for the fact a black cloak laid on her shoulders. Her hood was up and nearly covered her face and hid her hair.
"I'm calm RM."
"Are you?"
Y/n nearly clicked her tongue at his response before flickering her eyes at her target. Her real target was the king not the princess but the temptation was still there. Just the mere thought of her made her blood boil.
"Not yet."
"I know, I'm the moron that made the plan." She hissed out harshly. Namjoon stood quiet for a moment. He could feel the frustration and anger pouring from her. Then again he would feel the same way if he was in her shoes. In fact he has felt like that before. Perhaps that why he was trying to calm her storm before it became too much.
"Just relax Robin. I don't need you accidently killing someone." He whispered back. He glanced behind his shoulder, using his hand to lower the other men who were nearly as tensed as her.
Y/n inhaled deeply through her noise to calm her beating heart.
"I know. Just a little hard when I do have the urge to pull her hair." Y/n muttered. Namjoon quickly bit his lip to keep himself from chuckling. He quickly cleared his throat as his eyes avert back to the lively crowd below. His eyes only focusing on Seokjin.
"Never thought I would hear the day where I hear you say that. You never pull anyone's hair."
Y/n then too let her eyes focus on Seokjin. Her eyes narrowed slightly with a light scoff.
"Because out of everyone, I know how much it hurts."
Namjoon glanced at her once more before diverting his stare elsewhere.
"There was no reason to dump your trauma like that. I was there, remember?"
"You think your so funny, don't you?"
"I do actually."
Y/n rolled her eyes but a small smile force it's way on her lips. That oddly calmed her fiery heart. She then let her eyes trailed back to the crowd. Y/n slightly frowned. Namjoon glanced at her once more before letting his eyes avert to what she was staring at.
"You feel it too?"
"Yeah. It's like they are expecting us. Like they know where here." Y/n said as she narrowed her eyes. Namjoon leaned back from her and frowned.
"Yeah. It's not a good feeling. I think we should change plans." Namjoon whispered back. Y/n also leaned back but didn't let her stare waver.
"Okay, good idea. Let's make a new plan. I don't like the way that princess is being so—snake like." Y/n muttered.
"I wanna believe your saying that because there is something genuinely wrong and not because your jealous."
"I'm being serious!" Y/n whispered harshly. Namjoon put his hands up in defense.
"Okay I believe you. But seriously, it's odd how stiff those knights are, like they are waiting for us. Like—"
"Robin!" Someone whispered shouted. Y/n and Namjoon both turned to the voice. Jimin looked out of breathe making everyone tense.
"We need a new plan!"
"Why? What's wrong?"
"The princess! She knows!"
Y/n felt her stomach drop. Y/n gritted through her teeth before whirling her head to face Namjoon.
"Sh*t. RM go call the rest of the men! Move! Spread out! Tell them to head towards the stairs!" Y/n ordered quietly. Namjoon nodded, motioning with his hands for the others to spread out. Without even needing words, the men listened and disappeared into the shadows to spread throughout the castle.
"Is that all?"
"Yes. For now, make sure everyone is spread out. I'll stay here, you lead some outside, door ways, windows. Anywhere there's an escape route. V knows this place like his home so let him guide you. Now move out!" She whispered and gently shoved the two men.
"Wait! What about you?!" Jimin asked hastily.
"We need a distraction. We need to cause panic, what better way than me? The Robin Hood?" Y/n grinned under her mask.
"That's stupid! There's knights surrounding the ballroom!" Jimin replied.
"Ha but you forget who's the one dealing with them. Besides, as far as anyone's concerned, I'm a guest." Y/n winked at the male who only blinked at her response. His eyes then trailed back to Namjoon who remained quiet.
"Aren't you going to tell her something?!" Jimin whispered shouted. Namjoon readjusted his mask with a little chuckle.
"No matter what I say, she won't listen. The only person she'll listen to now, is down at the ball room, most likely speaking with the princess who she wants to rip out her hair from her skull." Namjoon replied. Jimin's eyes widen as he slowly trailed his eyes back to Y/n who was now tying her dress skirt around her waist. One perk Seonghwa gave her about her dress was how easy it was to detach and tach her skirt. Y/n let her hair tickle her bare shoulders and neck and slipping off her cloak and mask. She passed them to Namjoon who place her extra clothing in a bag he carried.
"As much as I won't admit it, Namjoon is right. There's only one person I'll listen to. Even then, I don't always listen to my love." Y/n grinned with another wink at Jimin who only gaped at her. Y/n picked up her dress before smiling once more.
"I'll see you two soon! Like Yoongi said! It's time for me to flutter my eyelashes and smile! Let's seduce these ugly men!" With that, Y/n turned and ran towards the nearest stairs.
"Shouldn't we stop her?" Jimin asked once more towards the tall male. But all Namjoon did was swing his bag over his shoulder and lazily shook his head.
"Nah. Let Hoseok deal with it. Only he can tame her."
"God this woman gives me so much stress." Jimin sighed heavily. Namjoon patted his shoulder.
"Welcome to the club bud. You are now in the official 'Lets be stressed about Robin' club. Warning, it only gets worse from here."
Jimin rolled his eyes and sighed once more.
"Great. Can't wait to look forward to it."
⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️
He didn't like this one bit.
That vile woman had her arm around his waist as she smiled sweetly with the others. Her voice gentle and soft. Her eyes so gentle and hid her lies behind a curtain of curly long eyelashes. All the men in the table were smitten and drawn to her honey like voice. Once more they were standing around her. Once more he was up standing near her with all these flies latched onto this honey like person. But all he felt was disgust. Goosebumps whenever her breath was touching his skin. Or when her hand slip down to press against his chest. His body would become stiff. His muscles tensed and fingers clenched into a fist.
Disgusting.
It was like a thousands bugs were crawling on his skin. The itch wouldn't go away. His jaw was locked and his eyes were forward. He wasn't looking at anything particular instead too focused on not accidentally shoving her away. When it became too much he would flutter his eyes close and inhale sharply through his nose. The only thing keeping his going was the image of his dove appearing in his head like an endless loop.
What made it worse was the unsettling words she spoke about earlier. Hoseok wasn't a violent person, and would even consider himself a coward at times, but never had he ever wanted to snap someone's neck in his life. He wondered if this what Y/n felt constantly whenever she looked or fought someone she didn't like.
'Maybe Y/n really was trying to kill me when we first met.'
"Your highness, are you alright?"
Hoseok blinked out of his daze and flickered his slightly wide eyes at the person who was speaking with him. Some random noble he couldn't even remember the name off.
"I'm fine. Thank you for asking. I'm sorry but what were you talking about?" Hoseok asked dryly. His expression returned back to a normal blank one. He could almost see Celestrina frown at his expression.
"Your wedding your highness."
Hoseok never wanted to puke more than now.
"Ah. What about it?"
"We were just debating when to have it silly! Oh Hoseokie, you sure are so out of it." Celestrina giggled, now wrapping both arms around his waist. Hoseok scrunched up his nose just slightly out of disgust.
Hoseokie?
What?
"The f—"
"Wedding? My! When your highness?" A voice that was like honey to his ears, spoke with fake innocence and eagerness. He never turned his head so fast it nearly gave him whiplash. Y/n was now next to the nobleman who he didn't even remember the name of. Her eyes holding an evil glint while her hand held a glass of wine. She wore the nice white dress once more catching him off guard. His whole body stiffened at her appearance.
She wasn't supposed to be here.
Just what exactly was she thinking?
Y/n had smiled so brightly, yet her eyes held such a scary glimmer Hoseok wondered if he even should speak. He even felt the princess stiffen. That alone made Y/n's lips twitch nearly into a smirk. But she held herself back and only smiled. No one knew it was her but a couple of people that including the princess and to this, Y/n would use to her advantage.
"I do wonder, your highness, from what Kingdom are you from again?" Y/n asked sweetly. But her smile and eyes didn't match her voice. Celestrina felt her eye twitch but she didn't lose her cool. She merely held her head up and smiled.
"From the Kingdom of Jade. It's the neighboring country. You know, the one that helped with the Holy War. My aren't you Kang's woman? I heard you were from a noble family, what noble family wouldn't know?" Celestrina replied. The room became stuffy around them. Even Hoseok felt slightly nervous, not for Y/n but for the princess. She had no clue who she was even dealing with. Y/n swirled her cup around her fingers with a giggle. Her killer like eyes hiding behind her lashes.
"Ah that war. You mean the war that cost us our former King and Queen? The War that wasn't even ours to begin with. That one? The one where we fought over a piece of land for your sake right? The very war that gave us famine? Ah so your the kingdom that did all of that." Y/n clicked her tongue with another innocent giggle. Y/n brought the glass to her lips as she looked directly at the princess who was slowly losing her cool.
"Yes, well all countries have their faults. Even yours. That's why we have these marriages to strengthen our relationships and prevent wars like these." Celestrina said but her own voice waver just slightly. Y/n took a sip of her drink before humming in agreement.
"It is true. A lot of countries have faults. Caused pointless wars and such over the years. And yet, none can compare to the Kingdom of Jade. You know, your highness, I heard the strangest rumor today." Y/n had tucked a hair strand behind her ear, exposing her neck. At the corner of her eye, she could see Hoseok tense even more. The people around them muttering between each other. Y/n leaned close with a chilling smile. It was at this moment, Celestrina regretted not telling the knights to kill her.
"I heard your fiancé, loves Robins. I have proof too, you know." Y/n smiled too sweetly. It was then the princess let her eyes trailed to her neck. She stiffen as her eyes landed on the bruise Hoseok left behind not that long ago. Hoseok on the other hand, his face was red to the point his ears started to blush. He stepped back, embarrassed but also strangely proud. Celestrina's own face grew red with anger. She clenched her fist while glaring at her.
"You—-Whore! You probably—slept with him right!? That's my prince, the audacity—!" Celestrina screamed catching the attention of everyone. Y/n only stepped back with a blank expression. She crossed her arms over her chest. She placed her hand on her chest with a small chuckle.
"Yeah. I've been in the same bed as him. Haven't I love?" Y/n let her eyes flicker to Hoseok who was stiff as a board. He pointed to himself as all eyes were focus on him. Y/n was almost sure he wasn't even aware of the words that left her lips. His mind to focused on the bruise he left behind. Even the way his eyes looked everywhere but her face.
"Y-yeah."
"See? And last I recall, he's not your prince." Y/n reached over and grabbed her forearm. Her glare sharpen as her expression turned into a dark one.
"Hell I don't remember him being yours to begin with. Pretty sure that crown you wear doesn't belong to you either." Y/n sneered. Some people gasped while others snickered quietly amongst themselves. Hoseok on the other hand grew uneasy. He reached out to grab her forearm and gently pull her back.
"Dove, what are you doing?" He whispered. Y/n continued to keep her sharp glare at the woman in front of her. Y/n didn't even glance at him as she responded.
"Being the pretty distraction." The prince didn't have time to question her when finally Celestrina snapped. She harshly shoved Y/n away from her with loud scoff.
"This crown is rightfully mine. I will prove it. Knights! Arrest that woman, for she is the infamous Robin Hood!" Celestrina shouted as she pointed to Y/n. Y/n remained unfazed while Hoseok tried to push her behind him. He was wary and didn't like how quiet it became nor how the knights rushed towards her.
"Her? Robin Hood? But she's a woman. A woman that beautiful can't be Robin Hood. Robin Hood was a man not a woman." One of the people muttered loud enough for the princess to hear. Many people agreed but didn't utter another word. Celestrina then quickly grabbed Y/n's wrist and dragged her. Hoseok reached out for her but only for the King to jerk him back with the help of his knights. Y/n remained completely calm even as Celestrina dragged towards the center of the ball room.
"Don't be fooled! This is Robin Hood! Her being a woman doesn't change the fact she's stole many things from the nobles! She kills your children and brainwashes' the men!" Celestrina shouted. Y/n let the princess jerk her around without giving much of a reaction. This only angered her deeply causing her to push Y/n to the floor. Many people stepped back and gasped. Y/n didn't say anything as her hair covered her face. She merely used her elbows to keep her upper body up.
"And now she's trying to steal the prince! Your next king! What more will Robin Hood steal from us!? You nobles are hanging by a thread thanks to this woman! She's even tried to kill your next King! It was fortunate he was able to escape! Don't be blinded by her beauty and kill her!" Celestrina was screaming at the crowd that wary watched and muttered amongst themselves. All eyes glanced between the princess and Y/n who didn't say anything. Hoseok tried to moved once but already two knights held him back. He worriedly looked at Y/n who was still on the ground. Her name nearly slipping at the tip of his tongue.
It was quiet for a moment, the ballroom still. No one muttered or whispered but look at the princess who's hair by now was undone and her loud panting filled the room. Suddenly laughter filled the room. Many people turned their gazes from the princess to Y/n who was on the ground. Y/n used her hand to pull her hair out of her face. She was laughing, sitting upright with her dress torn and ripped. The once sparkly white dress was covered in dirt. Her eyes held the same evil glow from earlier.
"Does anyone really believe that? A woman who's so poor and defenseless really be the Robin Hood? Shouldn't it be someone older? I'm only twenty five but Robin Hood has been around for so much longer. Nearly fifty years no? How can I be Robin Hood?" Y/n taunted with a smile as she batted her lashes innocently.
"That's what we've been saying. Your highness, are you sure this woman is Robin Hood?" One nobleman asked. Celestrina gritted through her teeth and whirled her head around.
"Of course it is—!"
"But do you have proof?" Another one asked. Celestrina whirled her head with narrowed eyes.
"Yes!!"
"Where's the proof?"
"She's the proof!! How come no one is mentioning how Taehyun who was there when Robin robbed his house, is completely unharmed!? Then he shows up with this woman!" Celestrina shouted and once more pointed at Y/n. Yet being in the center didn't make her waver one bit. Her smile only widen.
"But you said Robin Hood kills their children? How would Taehyun be alive still?" Y/n asked with her smile growing. Many more people muttered in agreement only making the princess angrier.
"Don't be fooled! She is Robin Hood!" Celestrina screamed.
"But she's a woman. How could a woman possibly be Robin Hood? Are you saying I was kidnapped by a woman that I barely could defeat?" Hosoek suddenly spoke. Everyone turned to face the Prince. Even though two knights were holding him back that didn't stop him from speaking nor the grin he had. Celestrina felt her face turn red from both anger and embarrassment. Hoseok threw his head back just slightly to glance at the king who narrowed his eyes. His eyes flickering back to the princess. He caught on what game Y/n was playing. It wasn't a pretty one but there must've been a reason why she was doing this.
"If that's the case, are you calling me a liar Princess Celestrina? Are you accusing me of lying to our kingdom? Are you insulting the royal family?" Hoseok asked suddenly. Celestrina fumbled on her words as gasps were heard all around her. Some mutters of people reached her ears.
"A princess from a foreign kingdom dares to insult the royal family?"
"His fiancé no less. Just what kind of woman does she think she is?"
"No!! Never! Your highness, you must believe me!" Celestrina pleaded as her eyes begged the king to listen. But the king was cold and only stared at her with such cold blank eyes. She had ruined the plan out of anger. The king wasn't going to tolerate this no more. Rather Y/n was Robin Hood or not, matter little to the king now. Not when the eyes of everyone flickered to him to make a decision. But the king wasn't scared to get rid of people. He in fact was far too prideful.
"Must I? Are you sure your are not accusing this woman simply out of jealously?" The king asked. The whole room became quiet while Celestrina's eyes widen.
"W-what?"
While people had their focus on the princess, Hoseok slipped away from the knight's grasped and helped Y/n up. Truth be told, her legs were wobbly. It wasn't because of the sudden shove that made her legs wobbly, rather it was the king's cold stare that made her tense. Y/n held onto Hoseok's arm, while his one arm was around her waist.
"Your h-highness, that has nothing—I promise it is not like that. That woman is Robin Hood—don't you see her cunning eyes?" Celestrina asked with a shaky voice. The king directed his stare to Y/n. That cold stare that Y/n hasn't seen in many years. Her breath hitched while her body stiffen. Without her even realizing it, she was slowly hiding behind Hoseok's shoulders. Her fingers clutching onto his shirt with a thick swallow. She looked like a frighten child. It's been many years yet that fear of the king never truly went away.
"Cunning eyes? All I see is a frighten child who happened to catch my son's attention." The king started. That only made Hoseok scoff quietly to himself. His own eyes glaring at the king who continued.
"You have no right to act up on such a joyous occasion. Clearly you are new to this. Never is a king ever faithful to his wife. No man in fact really needs to be loyal to their wife. If he wants that woman, as a royal blood and being born as a man, he can take it. Who are you to stop him?" The king said with his booming voice. This only made Y/n and Hoseok flinch at his claim. Y/n moved closer to Hoseok, nearly hiding into his chest. Hoseok wrapped his arms around her while his harden stare didn't leave the king.
As if Hoseok would ever take another woman that wasn't Y/n.
"B-but your highness—"
"I don't think you understand a woman's place. So let me put it straight for you, a woman should be quiet in the presence of a man. Just like that young lady over there, do you understand?" The king spoke harshly. The room only became thicker with silence. The princess lips trembled in both anger and fear. But no one dared to speak a word. Even as the king turned around and left the ballroom. Celestrina fell to her knees with trembling lips and watery eyes. Her eyes falling back to Hoseok who held Y/n close.
"Hey, you alright dove?" He spoke softly while the people around them muttered and gossiped with each other. Y/n weakly nodded, her eyes staring into his. She gave a weak smile.
"That was pretty stupid huh?"
"You think? That was such a gamble dove. I thought my heart was going to explode." Hoseok groaned. Y/n laughed lightly and laid her head on his shoulder.
"Why'd you ruin everything!? I was right! I was!" Celestrina screamed. She suddenly stood up and grabbed a fistful of Y/n's hair. Y/n gritted through her teeth to keep herself from making a noise. Everyone gasped once more and focused on the crying trembling princess that now held Y/n's hair.
"Celestrina! What the hell are you doing!?" Hoseok yelled. But all the princess did was drag her by the hair.
"Exactly what the knights should've done!! Kill her! She is Robin Hood and I'll prove it!! Go on dove, take me out." Celestrina laughed while shaking her head like a rag doll. Y/n placed her hands around her wrists with a heavy breath. God did she hate having her hair pulled.
"Go on, DO IT. I KNOW YOU CAN!" Celestrina screamed. Hoseok took a step forward only for Celestrina to grip harder. Y/n made a small noise but it was enough for Hoseok to stop his tracks.
"Don't you dare prince. You all wanted proof right?! I'll give you proof!! Come on dove do it!" Celestrina mocked. Y/n hissed out in pain. Her eyes glaring holes at the princess. She was silently cursing her in her head. Oh how badly did Y/n wanted to pull her own hair. But what good would that do? She could easily knock her out but that would only further prove the princess point. Y/n then trailed her eyes to Hoseok.
"S-stay right there love. Just wait a little—"
"Yeah stay there love!" Celestrina barked as she shook Y/n's head once more like a rag doll. Y/n gritted through her teeth and let her dark eyes trail back to the princess. Hoseok frowned and glared at the princess. He wanted to jump in so bad but the stare and warning Y/n gave said it all.
She was up to something.
But what?
"—JUST DO IT ROBIN HOOD!" Celestrina was screaming at this point. Her hair and dress ruined just like Y/n's but Y/n made no effort to move or get out. The people were muttering, bluntly speaking ill about the princess which only made her more angry. She opened her mouth to shout some more when suddenly the room became dark. More people gasped and screamed at the suddenly dark room. Celestrina couldn't see a thing but she kept her grip on Y/n.
"It's your fault, isn't it!?" Celestrina screamed. All she could hear was the sound of Y/n laughing. She couldn't see her. It was took dark. The moon was high but hidden away. Celestrina couldn't see her own hand. Her mind couldn't focus either. But she knew by the way her fingers tighten around Y/n's hair that she was still there.
"My fault? I've been here the whole time." Celestrina could just hear her grin. She wasn't buying it however.
"It was you!! Don't lie!!"
Y/n only laughed louder, startling the already panicked crowd. Her chilling tone only made everyone in the room become unsettled. The darkness lurking around them didn't help one bit.
"I hope your good at hide and seek princess, because it's a game I'm good at."
