THIRTY FOUR
It was pitch black in the once lively large castle where only the noblemen were allowed. The king disappeared after a quarrel with the princess of Jade, Princess Celestrina. She had the people of the kingdom wrapped around her fingers, having everyone love and adore her with her sweet luring voice. No one knew about the rumors that were behind her. It was an such a high advantage for her.
But now?
The Robin Hood made her look and sound crazy for accusing her who was Robin. The princess had proof and seen it with her own eyes. In fact she's the one who spied on her for months to make sure she didn't make a move on the wedding. She was the one who convinced her own men to turn against her. The plan was utterly perfect. There was just no way such a plan crumbled in her hands. And yet, everything did crumbled.
Now she was alone in the darkness. The warning Y/n gave was meant to be taken serious. Out of no where shadows came from the dark and screams were heard in the lurking darkness. They snatched and took any noble who made a noise. Like the grim reaper himself hunting for the evil, ready to take them to where they belong.
Y/n had slipped passed her fingers and escaped. The princess had place her hands over her mouth to keep quiet. She stood still while she heard the others scream and shouts while gusts of wind blew past. Her legs trembled and shook. Tears blurred her vison as if it wasn't already hard enough to see.
Just a second ago, she had Y/n in her fingertips. So close to exposing who she really was. So close the plan being perfect. The knights were waiting for the moment. All the princess had to do was give her word. Yet, Y/n did something completely different. She didn't follow according to her plan.
Now she slipped away into the darkness after warning her. Celestrina could only hear the screams and shouts of nobles in the endless abyss. Was she killing them? Celestrina remembered clearly Robin Hood doesn't kill. So what exactly was happening? Did she order her men to do so? Did she really go against her morals for that? Because she took her lover?
No, she wasn't like that.
Was she?
Was this the same person who couldn't even move out of her bed when she lost Hoseok?
Just what the hell happened?
Celestrina felt shivers run up her spine. Her eyes lowering to the floor. Suddenly that warning and glare were not just mere bluffs but threats. Y/n meant very look and word she said.
Just where did that woman go?
Celestrina slowly released her hands from her mouth and looked around. It got eerie quiet, some people whimpering or crying but the screams were silent. It was like most people had the same idea as her. Celestrina didn't move her legs despite how much they trembled. No more shadows or gushes of wind blew past her. It was just still.
"I hope your good at hide and seek princess, because it's a game I'm good at."
That's all that rang through her head like an endless loop. Her shaking eyes scanned around her. But it didn't do much with how dark it was. She was a princess, she wasn't train for this. She wasn't trained in anyway to defend herself not when she had so many knights and guards at her disposal. But Y/n was one woman who can defeat many knights and guards at a time because she taught herself to do so.
Celestrina took one step back, covering her mouth from breathing too hard. Her heart couldn't stop thumping. It ran through her eyes while her eyes scanned around her. She was in utter fear. It was something she hadn't felt in a while. But this one person instilled fear just by mere words.
Light footsteps echoed the quiet room. This made the princess tense, taking another step back. Because of the large ballroom, she couldn't hear what it was coming from. Was it Y/n? Did she finally came back? Just where was she?
It happened too fast.
It was still dark but she felt the hands that gripped onto her forearms and shoved her to the cool marble floor. Celestrina screamed a little, her eyes shaking in fear. She still couldn't see anyone. Nearly seconds after her scream, more screams echoed once more. Pleading and begging from people around her echoed in her ears. She didn't even know who pushed her. She heard people run frantically around her, sounding like chickens without a head.
Celestrina scrambled back as her breathing increased. So many people bumped and tripped over her. But she heard those soft fearful steps echo into the dark ballroom.
She was coming.
Her words once more made a shiver run up her spine. Celestrina let her eyes wonder around the darken room. She covered her mouth once more. One by one the people that were left, were picked up and dragged away. Celestrina scrambled back until her back hit a wall. She felt someone trip over her making her slightly groan.
"Is someone there?! Help me!! He's going to get me!! Help—"
His words were cut off in flash. She heard his muffled screams as he was dragged away. Celestrina now placed both hands over her mouth with a soft whimper. Tears couldn't stop spilling over her shaky eyes.
"Damn they all so loud." One man scoffed. Celestrina froze, her eyes looking around but it was far too dark to really see anything.
"I know. It's so much worse then raiding a house, goddamn I think that guy popped my eardrum." Another man hissed out. Their voices was too close for her liking. She felt a breeze blew past her and some metal clinking.
"Yeah, they all sound like they getting killed or something. Anyways, is that everyone?"
"I think so. My night vision kind of sucks so I'm not entirely sure."
"Yeah that's why Eri favors Hoseok over you."
"Besides being an a**, is there anything your good at? Jin hyung?"
"Me? No but at least I can see that woman right in front of us crying while your a** can't even see two feet in front of you." Seokjin scoffed, pointing to Celestrina who froze at his remark. Jungkook squinted his eyes but still couldn't see.
"There is?"
"Yes you—"
"You think it's the princess?"
Celestrina felt her blood run cold. She paled, her eyes going wide. Seokjin flickered his eyes at the female. His lips twitched into a devious grin. He placed his sword on his shoulder. He lightly tapped against the metal handle. Jungkook's ears perked at the sound of his rhythm tapping.
'Robin, the worm has been found.'
Jungkook had to hold in his chuckle as he too started tapping his finger against the metal handle of his daggers. Sending the message to whoever was near by.
"I can't see her face. It's kind of hard too. But we can't just let her leave." Seokjin started. Jungkook sighed almost too dramatically.
"But don't you feel a bit bad for her?"
"Why would I? These people harmed our leader and her future husband. Why show them mercy when they don't show us any?" Seokjin questioned, lightly nudging Jungkook to quit it. He was being overly dramatic. Jungkook once more bit his lip from laughing.
"But the way to a men's heart is a woman tears. Don't you agree Robin?"
Celestrina froze and buckled her knees. Her knees suddenly gave out and collapsed on the floor. Her eyes widen in fear as she heard the clicking of her rubber boots. She still couldn't see anything only darkness lurked around.
"I don't know who told you that bullsh*t but that mean's absolutely nothing to me." Y/n scoffed bitterly.
"It's just a saying." Jungkook shrugged. Y/n stood next to him. It was still so dark but the princess could almost feel the glare through the darkness.
"Though I do feel a little bad. She can't see a thing but I can see her shake with fear." Y/n taunted with a smile. She then patted Jungkook's arm since the poor man couldn't see well.
"You and Jin go turn on the lights. Leave this one to me. After all, this was the one who pulled my hair." Y/n said with a hint of anger lingering in her voice. Jungkook felt a shiver run down his spine before nodding.
"Okay. Let's go hyung."
With that they both disappeared in the darkness, nothing was heard but Celestrina's stifled crying. Her sobs stuck in her throat but the tears fell on the marble floor. Just minutes ago that was the same woman who caused so much hurt and destruction all for her own personal gain. Y/n almost felt bad but that burning flame of hatred was much stronger.
"I told you to hide. Though it won't had matter if you hid well or not, I would've eventually found you." Y/n started. She walked closer to the princess who flinched at her light steps. Y/n leaned over with a cold look. The lights turned on a second later, each lateran and chandelier was now lighting up the ballroom. It was at this moment the princess let her eyes wonder around.
The ballroom was completely empty.
"I told you I was good at hide and seek." Y/n taunted with a smile. Celestrina swallowed thickly, her pupils shaking. There was no where for her to run nor hide. She was cornered, her back brushing against the marble wall.
"I know it's mind blowing that I found you but, you shouldn't be to too surprised right? After all, I am Robin Hood." Y/n giggled, placing her hands on her knees. She wore a white baggy shirt with long ruffled sleeves in the end. Her hands were covered in velvet black archer gloves. She wore baggy men trousers with a black corset over her white shirt. The corset pushed up her breast making them glimpse just slightly through her two unbuttoned white shirt. Her hair was pulled back into a small ponytail with some hair touching her neck. She tilted her head making the princess flinch.
"S-so why'd you lie to them?!" Celestrina shouted with a wavering voice. Y/n stopped her giggles as she stood up straight.
"Ah you still have some fight after all, I was worried there for a sec. I mean if all it took was a little darkness to get you this scared, I would've done this in the beginning." Y/n chuckled placing on hand on her hip.
"Besides, I didn't lie. I am not Robin Hood." Y/n grinned. Celestrina furrowed her eyebrows.
'B-but you just said—"
"Ah ah! I did. But I'm not him. I mean I'm not the first one anyways. If you really had done your research, you would've known that Robin Hood has been around for a while now. Way before I was even born." Y/n soon looked around the ballroom with a taunting smile.
"I don't really remember the exact age my father started, but I do know it's been more than thirty years. I was overreacting earlier saying it's been more than fifty but hey? The crowd believed me." Y/n shrugged casually.
"F-father?" Celestrina squeaked out fearfully. Y/n tilted her head once more and flickered her dark eyes to the shaking princess. Her smile wide like a Cheshire's.
"Ahhh right you don't know. My father was the original Robin Hood. I'm his daughter. Y/n Hood. Yeah that's actually my last name. My father made it up since most peasants aren't born with surnames. It's only for the rich that are allowed surnames." Y/n started, placing her finger near her lip while her smile didn't waver in the slightest.
"But his name wasn't Robin, it was a completely made up name. His real name? I'll keep that a secret. Anyways he played hero for many years before he was finally caught. It wasn't his fault however, my father always valued other's lives before his. His friend got himself in trouble and my father took the blame. The King accused him of being Robin Hood which was true, to a certain extent. The King originally had thought it was my father's friend who was Robin Hood so he wasn't too far off I suppose. He then took out his long silver sword and cut my father's head right off his shoulders." Y/n's eyes suddenly darken. The smile she had a second ago disappeared as fast as it came. Y/n leaned down once more, towering over the princess who shook in fear.
"Wanna know the best part?" Y/n whispered darkly. Celestrina cowered back as she shook her head but that only result in Y/n grabbing her forearm and dragging her towards the center of the ballroom. Celestrina screamed but Y/n ignored her before she harshly threw her in the center, just as she did to her before. Celestrina gasped, more tears coming down her eyes. Almost instantly did Celestrina try to scramble away.
But Y/n was much quicker.
Y/n grabbed one sword from her side and pinned it on her dress skirt. Celestrina screamed when being jerked back. Her skirt stopping her from moving. She turned her head, her blurring vison seeing her dress skirt pinned down with a sword. She tried pulling it with her shaky hands. But the fabric didn't even budge or even rip in the slightest with her effort. Her breathing quicken. Her eyes slowly trailed to Y/n's dark eyes that held no remorse for her.
"Best part was I was right there. A knight had pulled my hair and dragged me in front of my father. A punishment all because I wanted to save my father. Speak for him since the King didn't give him a chance to defend himself. But the king had warned me to be quiet and how a woman shouldn't speak. I watched as the king, the same one you worked with, took out that damn sword and chopped my father's head clean off his shoulders as his head rolled near my little feet. And wanna know what my father said?" Y/n raised her voice just slightly. She drawn out her other sword and pointed right at her neck. Celestrina whimpered and cried. It was such a mistake to work with that king.
"He said 'I love you and please, my Robin, keep fighting.' Since that day, I've hated any noble and royal. I wanted to kill them so bad, my hatred was so strong at the age of nine, that I'm sure if I could, I would've killed that king. But I kept fighting just like he asked, despite losing my mother months later because she couldn't bare to be without her husband. I kept fighting, even though my own men, my brother betrayed me. Even when you took my lover away." Y/n shouted, nearly out of breath. She tried to keep her anger at bay but her own sword shaking just slightly at out much anger she felt. Her sword moved closer to her throat, merely inches from her throat. She heard soft steps coming from behind her but ignored it. She didn't even have to look to see who it was.
"I wanna blame you, but how can I?" Y/n scoffed at herself. The sword gazing at the princess's neck. Celestina was gritting through her teeth, her hands and body still at the glare Y/n gave her. The crackled marble that held her sword is what kept her from squirming and moving away.
Just how strong was this woman to make the marble floor crack under her strength?
Celestrina slowly trailed her shaking eyes to the Prince who stood a couple of feet away. He wasn't wearing a cape no more. His sleeves rolled up with his own sword around his waist. His hair was ruffled and messy, but pulled back away from his forehead. His eyes looked at Y/n, almost like he was concern. But he didn't bother moving a step forward.
Jealous fueled her blood more than fear. Celestrina wished someone or at least anyone in the room would look at her like that. Especially if it was someone like the prince. Her heart pounded a bit too loud in her ears, out of fear and jealousy. It just wasn't fair. She was far more beautiful than the girl who stood above her. Far more elegant and poised than this woman who swung her sword like a madman. Yet, that handsome prince with cold eyes and sharp jaw, was deeply in love with her. His eyes soften just the smallest but with that amount she was able to see showed how much he loved her.
His focus was only on her, the woman who held a sword near her throat. Even just swallowing made her flinch whenever the cool metal hit her throat. The princess's eyes were glossed over with freshly new tears. Her words barely leaving her throat.
"W-what do you mean?" Celestine asked with a shaky breath. Y/n let her eyes flicker to her sword before looking at the scared princess.
"You did all this, because what other choice do you have? We're both women trying to survive this world that is ruled by men. Yet, we both took different paths." Y/n started softly.
"I dressed and pretend to be a man for the sake of my father who believed we all should be equal. I did so for the last nearly eleven years. I thought that was the only way. I mean, would anyone fear Robin if he was a girl? No, because what kind of man would believe that a woman like I could wield a sword? No one right?"
Celestrina shook her head with another hard swallow. She could feel that sword gaze the tip of her neck. Almost as Y/n was ready to cut it open. But she didn't move an inch nor forward or backward.
"But you? The only way for the throne was through marriage. No woman wants to get married at a young age for the sake of something she had the right of since birth. Your older brother is mentally ill and yet, they still consider him the heir. The perfect heir. While you, who's perfectly healthy and capable, was casted aside for marriage. So you did what you thought was best, taking over another kingdom. It was easy for you wasn't it?" Y/n's voice became rougher while her once soft eyes harden. The grip on the sword tighten the longer she stared at the princess.
Celestrina felt tears leave her eyes while her lips trembled. It was her mistake for thinking it was that simple. For thinking this woman was naïve enough to fool. Most commoners would be thrown at her feet begging for their lives for even making eye contact with her. Yet this poor woman who stole but never kept any of the money for herself, dared to point a sword at her and compare their lives.
What did she know about being in her place?
She doesn't know anything because all she was a poor woman who happened to got lucky catching the prince's eye. How would she know a thing about what she's been through?
"You don't know anything about me." Celestrina sputtered out with a shaky breath. Y/n arched her eyebrow, her face remained emotionless.
"I don't?"
"N-no! What can you k-know?! Your a poor women who got lucky! You just h-happened to catch the prince's eye and n-now you think your entitled to do whatever you want!!" Celestina shouted with a wavering voice. She was breathing heavily and her heart couldn't stop thumping against her ribcage. Y/n forced out a laugh and pointed to herself.
"Shouldn't I be telling you that? You are literally a princess who grew up with plentifully food and money. Money is the only thing to survive this world and you had enough to spare on for jewels. Yet you say I'm entitled to do whatever I want when you yourself can kill a person and justified without ever needing to face consequences?" Y/n scoffed out bitterly.
"All I'm saying is I don't blame you for doing any of this, because as woman in this world, I'm trying to survive too!" Y/n suddenly yelled. Celestrina flinched at her sudden raise in voice.
"B-But you know n-nothing of me!" Celestrina yelled back.
"Oh but I do. As it was easy for you get information about me, it is much easier to information on you. After all you are a princess." Y/n seethed out. Celestrina swallowed thickly, the fear returning as quickly as it disappeared. It was only for a moment before Y/n continued talking.
"No one in this kingdom knew how you were before nor the rumors that followed you. This kingdom was already falling as it. With a criminal running loose and stealing from the rich. The prince has no power and was already around your age, With no power, that means you can control the prince." Y/n narrowed her eyes just slightly. Her voice came out cold as she continued.
" It was just too good to miss. It was like this chance fallen into your right into your hands. You didn't even have to work for it, all you had to do was flutter your pretty eyelashes and no one would bat an eye." Y/n lowered her head, as quickly as she blinked her frown turned into a smile.
"Hey princess, do you know the kingdom's law about stealing?" Y/n asked. Celestrina swallowed thickly as she shook her head slowly. It was at this moment Hoseok's eyes widen.
"Y/n—"
The said woman held her hand up, shutting him up as quickly as he spoke. Celestrina flinched at how quickly it grew quiet.
"If she wanted to become Queen so bad, she should've learned about the laws in this kingdom. You must know the customs, rules that aren't written down and of course the laws that kept this country running." Y/n withdrawn her sword but the smile never left her lips. She glanced at Hoseok who looked speechless. The prince wasn't even sure what to say when she had such a weird glint in her eyes. Sometimes the prince forgets before he met her, this is how she treats her opponents.
Her prey.
"B-but I've only been h-here for three months—" Celestrina stuttered out. Y/n lazily flickered her eyes back to the princess. Y/n hummed in thought, placing her sword back into it's sheath. She then crouched down, placing her chin on her palm.
"No, you've been here longer than that."
Celestrina's eyes widen in pure fear. Y/n felt her lips twitch into a smirk.
"What? I had to make sure I knew everyone that came to the Prince's birthday party. I have to make it my business. If I recall, that was about seven or so months ago, so in that time period, did you not learn anything from this country?" Y/n asked with a click of her tongue. Celestrina under her darken gaze, she was paralyzed with so much fear she couldn't even nod her own head.
"Now I'll ask again, do you know the kingdom's law about stealing?" Y/n asked once more, placing one hand behind her back. The princess didn't utter a word which only made Y/n smile widen.
"The punishment for stealing, rather from the poor or rich, anyone caught stealing one's possession will have their hand where the item was found, cut off." Y/n recited with a chilling smile. That seem to snap Ceelstrina out of whatever haze she was in and gasp. Her breathing quicken as she immediately jerked back.
"W-wait!! But I-I didn't steal anything!!" Ceelstrina yelled. Her answer only made Y/n's eyes darken.
"You didn't steal anything? Are you f*cking serious right now?"
"Y/n, is this really—"
Y/n turned her head to look at Hoseok. He stiffen the moment she locked eyes with him.
"It's because of her tears right? Because she's crying?" Y/n asked bitterly. Hoseok quickly shook her head. He was sure sure if she was jealous or angry or both. That glint in her eye, made him slightly uncomfortable.
"No. But you scared her enough, your not actually going to cut her hand, are you?" Hoseok asked softly. Y/n frowned, her hand gripping tightly onto the the dagger she hid behind her back.
"I don't think so, I don't think it's enough. I don't know if it hurt you or not Hoseok, but when my men were against me and you were taken away from me, I barely had the will to go on. Her being scared now is nothing compared to what I felt. My father didn't teach me to be forgiving, he taught me to be brutal." Y/n replied coldly. Even though her stare was cold and her voice was harsh, Hoseok kept his soften gaze. Their stare battle only lasted for another second before Y/n sighed out in frustration. She turned to look at the frighten princess who shook under her gaze.
"Your too damn nice and it annoys me. Fine I won't cut off her hand." Y/n scoffed out. Celestrina breathed out in relief but that didn't stop the endless tears that left her eyes.
"Thank you dove, now come on—"
"—But that's not gonna stop me from hurting her." Y/n cut off his sentence. Hoseok's eyes widen, instantly taking a step forward and reaching his hand out to stop her.
"Wait Y/n don't—!!"
Y/n in one blurry motion, raised her hand that hid the dagger she carried behind her back and pierced Celestrina's once soft delicate hand. The same one that hugged Hoseok's arm. The knife ran by through her hand and stuck between the marble floor, just like the sword that held her dress down. The marble floor cracked under her brutal strength, making it impossible for Celestrina to move her hand.
Only a second later, did Princess Celestrina scream. Blood pooled around the once white marble floor. The princess's beautiful hand that never picked up a sword, was pinned down by a silver dagger. It pierced through her hand, covering her hand and the once silver dagger with blood. It was then Y/n was jerked back by the prince who was wide eyed. Y/n didn't look remotely sorry. Her dark eyes glaring holes at the screaming princess. If it was any humanly possible, Celestrina cried even harder.
"Y-You b*tch!! Why!!??" Celestrina screamed out. Y/n let out a forced laugh, ignoring the way Hoseok helped her up. The moment she stood up properly, Hoseok held her forearms tightly to keep her from moving an inch forward. Y/n squirmed and thrashed around, but she couldn't budge against his strangely iron grip.
"Maybe next time you wouldn't steal what's not yours!" Y/n yelled back.
"Hurts a lot right!?!! Imagine that pain but spread all over your body, in pain for months!" Y/n splat angrily. She was breathing heavily at this point.
"Y-You—!!"
"Celestrina, enough."
Celestrina let her eyes trail back to the prince. Hoseok was holding Y/n's arm tightly, even as Y/n thrashed around. His glare was much more scary than Y/n's threat.
"If you don't want your other hand gone, then don't speak." Hoseok warned. Celestrina felt her lips quiver. She clenched her other fist while more angry tears fell from her eyes. More blood pooled around her palm that was now temporarily stuck between the marble floor. It hurt so much. It was a pain the princess ever even felt before. A mixture of blood and tears coated the once white marble. Every nerve hurt each time she tried to move her fingers. Celestrina with her messy hair and ripped dress, looked up and glared at Y/n with her angry tears.
But Y/n was already glaring at her. Her own glare hiding behind her curtain of lashes. Her finger twitched, almost ready to grab the last sword she had still around her waist. It was rare when Y/n used a sword but it didn't mean she didn't know how to use it.
Hoseok turned around not wanting to deal with her any longer, sensing more tension once more raise in the room and gently pushing Y/n away from the princess. The princess clinched at their sudden disappearance but didn't utter a word the moment they left.
"Just let me—"
"No." Hoseok answered almost instantly. He then dragged Y/n before she could even argue with him.
"You don't even know what I was gonna ask!!" She barked. Strangely his grip was like iron. No matter how much she squirmed and jerked around, he wouldn't budge. He continued to lead her out of the ballroom and into a long hallway.
"You can't kill her." He answered quickly. Y/n clenched her jaw, flickering her glare at him.
"Why not!? Who are you to tell me I can't!?"
Hoseok stopped his tracks. His own dark eyes locking with hers. Nearly glaring into her eyes that were fueled with hatred. It was a flame he hasn't seen in since they met. It was so strange seeing the same murderous glare be directed at him.
"Are you seriously asking me that? Once you kill someone, you can't go back. You will never stop. You know that. That's one reason why you don't kill. I have every right to tell you can't. That's not who you are. That was the sole reason you were angry with Namjoon in the first place." He answered sharply. Y/n scoffed and looked away from him. She remained silent but didn't move. But neither did the prince, his eyes still locked onto her figure. They soften the more he looked at her and the longer is remained silent.
"What made you angry in there?" He asked gently. His grip loosen. Y/n didn't look at him. She kept her gaze at the floor.
"Y/n?"
Y/ sighed, turning her head to face him. Her eyes glossy, her bottom lip between her teeth. She scoffed at herself almost like she was disappointed at herself for getting teary eyed.
"My father."
Hoseok remained quiet, his grip lessened. His hand slowly let go of her forearm and trailed down to her hand. He held it, lightly squeezing it to encourage her.
"I can never speak about him without getting angry. Honestly I was calm when I found her, but the moment my father was mentioned, I get so angry. I just—hate that memory." Y/n's voice wavered. Her eyes trailed to the ground once more.
"Why?" He asked softly. Y/n closed her eyes as her chest felt heavy.
"Well you heard it. You know why." She whispered.
"No I heard how it happened. I want to know why it makes you angry." He replied gently tucking her hair behind her ear. Y/n whirled her head to face him. Tears started to spill out her eyes. But her face was angry.
"Because it just wasn't fair Hoseok! He was keeping these people alive! He was keeping this kingdom alive! What kind of king are you without any people to rule?! It wasn't fair! He was just helping people! He was just surviving for him and his family! So why did he have to—" Y/n's voice choked. She looked down once more with a shudder.
"He died because he valued others lives before his, which is so annoying! Why couldn't he just live for his family instead?!" Y/n angrily shouted. She looked at Hoseok with such a broken expression it tugged his heart. Hoseok place his hand on her cheek, his thumb gently wiping away her angry tears.
"So your not angry at the king, but your father? Right?" Hoseok asked softly. Y/n felt her breath shudder and her lips quiver. Her eyelids lowered while more tears spilled out of her eyes.
"Y-yes. He didn't have to do that. Why couldn't he be selfish? For once? For once live for his family and not die for others. I wanted my father. Not his head rolling at my feet. It's not f-fair Hoseok."
Hoseok couldn't help but give a half smile. His thumb still wiping away her tears.
"But my dove, aren't you the same? If your men got caught in trouble, wouldn't you do the same? Wouldn't you leave me behind to go save them? My dove, it's not fair to me. But I would understand because that's just who you are. You need to save people. You need to make sure your family is alright and safe even if it costs your life. The nonsense of your father teaching you to be brutal, no I think he taught you how to save people. You don't want to kill Princess Celestrina, you just wanted her to stop." Hoseok explained, leaning his face closer to hers. His lips brushed against her forehead while she cried quietly in his hand.
"I-I'm not like h-him!"
"But you are. The king only made your hatred worse but really, you are most like your father." Hoseok kissed her forehead with a soft chuckle.
"And the hand thing? Dove I know you did that because you were jealous."
Y/n let out a weak laugh, her hand going up to play with his small strands of hair behind his neck. Her eyes slowly trailed to him with a sniffle. Her smile weak and her eyes still spilled her tears. But her expression was soft. Her crying had calmed down.
"I can't help it. Just like you, I've been deprived of you and suddenly this woman comes and touches you like she owns you. She did steal you away from me. That wasn't wrong." Y/n whispered out. Hoseok shook his head as he laughed, pulling away from her face. His eyes swarming with that warm love. His palm still cupped her cheek as he leaned in quickly to peck her lips.
"Alright, whatever you say dove. Now that's done, where to next?" Hoseok asked, moving his hand down to interlock their hands. Y/n wiped her remaining tears away with a soft sigh. Her once teary eyes flickered to his brown orbs. She had a hint of determination glimmer in her eyes as she smiled.
"Now? We trap the king."
