ELEVEN

It's been nearly a month since the incident happen with Jin. And it appeared everyone was so fond of the small girl. But that's not what lingered in the princes' head. Sure he adored the small child, but what really flutters his heart was how Y/n would treat her. The way she smiled so warmly at the small child. Though Y/n never did it in front of anyone but her group, there was incidents where he would catch her smiling at the small child. Just why couldn't she show that version of herself in front of everyone?

Hoseok sighed, his eyes wondering on the rushing river. Spring was slowly appearing but it wasn't necessary here yet. However, birds and the warm brisk sun was starting to melt the cold winter. Hoseok was now able to move freely since it's been two months since he's stayed with them. He didn't even really try to escape, if anything he had no desire to return to his home. So many plain and boring people with his stupid royal duties. If he was being honest, he loved the camp. Everyone was so lively and starting to warm up to him, so they treated him kindly.

"Well hopefully one day Y/n would show her true colors. She seems so much better when she does so." Hoseok said, his arm resting on his right leg. All Hoseok was wearing as a light sleeveless black robe with black sleeves under his robe. He was wearing black leather pants with boots. The robe was held together by a gold belt. His hair was growing longer, which means he was long overdue with a hair cut. The robe was made for him by Taehyung, who actually makes the clothes for the camp along with Yoongi.

Hoseok leaned his head on the tree truck, his eyes now wondering on the blue sky. The wind blew softly on his cheeks, with the sun brisk his honey cone skin. He enjoyed the weather, the noises. His lips twitched into a smile. Suddenly his tranquil peace was interrupted by the sound of footsteps. Soft ones coming towards the river. His eyes trailed down the see the figure walking towards the water. His eyes lightly widen seeing Y/n. Feeling someone stare at her, cause Y/n to turn her head. She blinked seeing the prince.

"Well, what a nuisance. I didn't expect seeing his majesty sitting on dirt." Y/n snorted, her arms crossed over her chest. Her hair was in a long braid that brushed against her back. It barely was up to her waist. She needed a haircut more than ever, summer was coming which means it was going to get hotter and long hair isn't exactly good during the summer. Flowers were neatly decorated among her long braid. A few strands of hair touched against her cheeks and forehead.

She was wearing something different this time. She was wearing a long sleeve shirt that was cut on her shoulders, a corset wrapped around her waist. A small golden flower necklace hanged from her neck. Black rubber boots and black leather pants. A small knife was hanging loosely on her hips. For some reason, the sight of her made the prince swallow hard. Usually her figure was hiding behind the robes she would wear, but now it was showing and making the prince cheeks slightly hear up.

"Well it's beautiful out, I see no reason to not be out. Besides, I'm allow to roam as long as I'm not too far from the camp." Hoseok stated, bouncing on his feet as he stood up. Y/n shrugged and nodded, her eyes wondering back to the rushing water.

"True. It won't matter if you tried to leave, I'll find you before you can even get far." Y/n hummed. Hoseok swallowed nervously, and scratched behind his neck.

"Yes I'm aware. Anyways, what are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be training your men?" Hoseok asked. Y/n shook her head, and placed her hand on her hip.

"Nope, today is Danger tournament. And before you ask, it's a day where my solders go against each to see what they lack in. In order to win the tournament is by beating me, however the only one who remotely beaten me is Namjoon." Y/n explained. Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows, cocking his head to the side.

"That's interesting. Only your men can join?"

"No anyone can. But only my men join because it's a requirement to earn their symbol to be officially a part of the Merry Men. Also because no one really wants to fight me. Even if you lose against me, you still earn your symbol which is then written on your robe which you would wear during battle or training." Y/n explained.

"So then there's no point in fighting you then." Hoseok added. Y/n rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"No, there is a point. If you get a scratch on me, your part of the group that only has six members in it. My most trusted men, every man wants to get inside of the special group. But it's impossible unless your like them. Quite difficult frankly. And I don't plan to change it, my father has had it like that for years." Y/n huffed. Hoseok nodded along her words. His eyes met hers, giving her a bright smile. Y/n's eyebrow twitched before turning her focus on the river.

"Anyway, I'm here because I need to practice for the tournament. Or at least practice a little. You should return to the camp." Y/n said, stretching her arms over her head, leaning towards the right. Hoseok froze for a second, his eyes staring at her. Y/n then leaned towards the left until a soft crack was heard. Swinging her arms from that stretch, she lunged forward with one leg before switching. She then stood up straight, realizing the prince was staring at her and didn't leave yet.

"What are you staring at? Ever seen a girl stretch before?" Y/n scoffed. Hoseok's cheeks slowly warmed up, realizing he was staring at her. Most importantly, he was staring at something he shouldn't even lay eyes on. What a sin he caused himself to have. He jerked backwards and quickly shook his head.

"N-No! Every women I met wants to marry me for my status!" Hoseok said quickly, his ears heating up as well. Y/n scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Women who freely give up their dignity are disgusting. Have some decency at least. Ugh, noble women are disgusting." Y/n snort. Hoseok bit his lip, his eyes trailing all over her body. Why couldn't he stop staring?!

Y/n placed her braid over her shoulder, now laying on her shoulder to her chest. She locked gazes with the prince yet again. She raised her eyebrow, yet again he was staring at her. He was swallowing very hard, his eyes slowly widening.

"What? Is there something on me that you must stare at me for or what?" Y/n sneered. Hoseok felt his cheeks get hotter and quickly shook his head.

"I-It's just I've n-never seen a women wear...well that." Hoseok swallowed, pointing at her outfit. That outfit was distracting him a lot more than it should. If he was being honest, she looked beautiful in that outfit, more beautiful than the women who wear gowns. Now that thought startled him. He's seen so many women is gowns that costs fortunes, but he's getting distracted by a couple of rags! A couple of rags that nicely hugged her figure. What in the world is wrong with him?!

"Well obviously, for standard women it's almost require to wear gowns or dresses. But I'm not standard women, pirates wear these. Even women, I rather be a pirate than a lady." Y/n hummed, placing her hand on her hip.

"A-Ah then w-why not be a Pirate?" Hoseok stuttered, trying time keep his eyes focus on her and not her body. Wheres Taehyung when you need him? He suddenly felt like he couldn't breathe and his heart was drumming loud.

"Because, I need to avenge my father. Simple. Your father killed him-and for the love of God! What are you staring at?!" Y/n yelled, narrowing her eyes at him. Hoseok jumped and chuckled nervously, he could almost see the steam coming out of her ears. Hoseok truly forgets how hot headed she can be at times.

"N-Nothing!" Hoseok lied, his whole face now burning and was red as an apple. He swallowed thickly, his Adam's apple bouncing from the amount of times he swallowed. Y/n's eyebrows twitched in annoyance before stomping his way. Despite the height difference, Y/n dragged the collar of his shirt to her height.

"Your lying! Your face turns red when you lie!" Y/n remarked. Hoseok eyes widen, swallowing even harder. Her face was much more beautiful up close. He could now clearly see her flawless features. The way her lips were so close towards his face, her eyelashes fluttering from very blink she made. Hoseok whined internally, his hands twitching unsure where to put them.

"Tell me! Or I'll throw you in the river!" Y/n growled, her gaze hardening. Hoseok sighed, trying to cool his thoughts and face.

"Y-You.." He muttered under his breath, swallowing the saliva that was stuck in his throat.

"What?! I didn't hear you!" Y/n growled, pulling his face closer. Hoseok whined, wanting this torture to end. He knew for a second the moment he pushed her away, she would literally throw him in the river. Hoseok licked his dry lips and whined yet again. His heart was drumming so loud in his ears, he thought he was gonna grow deaf. At this point the prince could only assume he liked this hot headed leader. He whined again at his thoughts.

'Out of all the people, her? Are you an idiot or what?' Hoseok thought, causing another whine to leave his throat. Y/n had enough of his whining and shoved him away.

"Seriously you men are complicated! And you hypocrite men say we women are!" Y/n scolded with a displeasing look. Hoseok felt like he could breath again, his drumming heart calming down. Hoseok raised his eyebrow at her comment, placing his hand on his chest to ease his heavy breathing.

"You can't even answer a simple question! I've asked you three times and you keep staring at me for whatever reason! What's the deal?!" Y/n sneered. Hoseok scratched behind his ear, biting the inside of his cheek. He wanted to tell her, but something was stopping him. He finally just realize he likes this hot headed leader, but something was stopping him from saying anything. But what was it? Maybe it was the fact he knew she'll never feel the same? Or perhaps he's just confused and really doesn't like her?

Or maybe because he thinks she likes someone else. It would make sense if she did, she literally trains a group full of men. And she has that group that seen her smile and laugh multiple times. He's only got lucky because of the small child, otherwise he probably would've never even liked her in the first place. Her warm smile and beaming eyes, her motherly attitude towards small children drew him towards her. Even her caring and kind soft voice she speaks with the children softens his heart. The women he knew were usually so cold and cruel towards their children. Well besides his mother, maybe that's why he's so drawn to her.

But still, she doesn't even like him. Nor would look his way ever. He's just the son of the man who killed her father. Nothing more. Besides she probably likes Namjoon. He's almost certain she does. He remembers that day when she saved the small child, how Namjoon held her. His arms around her physique. Or the many times he would just casually hold her waist with no problem.

Hoseok didn't even realize his jaw started to lock from the thought. Y/n raised her eyebrow from the lack of response and the way his jaw suddenly started to lock. His eyes suddenly glaring at the grass, his fist clenching together. She'll be lying if she didn't find that attractive.

"Prince?"

Hoseok blinked and looked at her, his eyes softening. He gave a beaming smile, placing his hands behind his back.

"Hey, don't call me prince. It's just Hoseok. Jung Hoseok. Here in the forest, I'm nothing more than Jung Hoseok." Hoseok grinned. Y/n furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, a slight pout coming on her features. Oh the urge to squish her cheeks was so tempting to the prince.

"I suppose. Well then Hoseok, head back to the camp please. Taehyung would start searching for you." Y/n said before walking by the river bay again. Hoseok's eyes watched her body walking away from him. He quickly shook his head and averted his eyes elsewhere. He really shouldn't even looking at her like that. Like anything, he should stop this before he gets hurt. He's already getting jealous over a man who's most likely her lover.

'Jung Hoseok calm down. Just leave already.'

"Alright then. Well see you later than Y/n." Hoseok gave a tight smile before turning his heel and walking away. He immediately dropped his smile, his fingers clenching into a fist.

'There's no point. Drop if before it gets worse. Your already desiring her, but you know for a fact she'll be miserable with you. Your a prince, a royal, something she truly hates.' Hoseok thought, clenching his jaw. But his own heart sank from his own thoughts. His chocolate eyes losing the bright glimmer it had. He mumbled a sentence to comfort himself.

"So just leave it alone, before it gets worse."
