The amount of times Jian's jaw had dropped was uncountable.

She couldn't believe her eyes, ears or anything. She was in Ace's headquarters. Korea's biggest mafia organization. She can't believe Baekhyun is a part of this association.

Their headquarters were huge. A huge ground full of small buildings, a club, a bar, a casino, an underground racing track, underground fighting ring, and so many things she never knew existed. Baekhyun had brought her straight to a lounge room of the club where there were a few people. She found one familiar face. Taehyung came running to hug her when she saw her.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR JIAN!"

"Thank you so much, Oppa!"Jian said while trying to get out of his bear hug,"Oppa, you're suffocating me."

"Get off of her,"Baekhyun said while getting Taehyung away from her.

Jian smiled and then looked at the others that were present in the room.

Baekhyun smiled and said,"Jian. Meet my friends,"Baekhyun then introduced her by pointing at them. Chanyeol, Jongin, Sehun, Taeyong, Seulgi, Joy and Sana. They all seemed to be aware of Jian's coming. They greeted her cheerfully and wished her a happy birthday. Jian was stunned by how good looking and nice they all were. They don't fit into the stereotypical mafia perspective.

Taehyung soon excuses himself to go to the club and 'check up' on something. Jian just chitchatted with Baekhyun's friends. His best friend told Jian a lot of blackmail material stories on Baekhyun to Jian, she was happy about that. Baekhyun was blissfully unaware of it all.

Soon after that Taehyung came and invited them to the club. Jian followed them and in the VVIP room of the club was waiting a big surprise for her. As soon as she entered the room following Baekhyun she was bombed with confettis from both sides followed by a loud cheer saying 'Happy birthday'! Jian saw a lot of Baekhyun's friends being gathered in this huge vvip room and singing her the birthday song. Which was a bit embarrassing but really nice. The room was decked with balloons and confettis. There was a cake and a lot of other food items on the table. One of the girls quickly came and put a birthday hat on her.

She quickly looked at Baekhyun,"When did you prepare all this?"

"Oh no sweetheart,"One of the guys said,"He didn't do shit. He just called up Taehyung and told him to start preparing for your birthday celebration forty minutes ago with everyone. So we did all this in forty minutes. Decorated this place, got a cake and snacks, sent Yunho hyung home so he doesn't suspect anything. Oh my God I'm tired,"He sighed dramatically,"I'm Seokjin by the way."

Jian smiled and bowed at him.

Baekhyun frowned,"You all are acting like you all are doing this for free but in reality you all wanted to leave work and party anyway. Also you were trying to find a way to scam money out of me for so long. Bunch of scammers!"

Jian smiled. It's nice to Baekhyun interact with his friends.

Jian was brought to cut the cake while the others sang her a happy birthday again. Seems like just in the short notice of forty minutes the majority of the main gang members of Ace dropped their work and came to party. They all loved to party. Really a lot.

There Jian was introduced to a lot of other gang members. She was especially glad to meet Kyungsoo. Their energies were similar and Jian wanted to meet Kyungsoo for a long long time. She had imagined him to be a tough, macho character but in reality he was so squishy and cute.

Jian interacted with a lot of his friends, mostly they were curious about her. Because incidents like today rarely happen. So they wanted to know what kind of girl she was. They seemed to like her.

At one point Jian's social battery was running out. She had talked to way too many people today so Jian went in the corner and sat on the bar stool while drinking water. She doesn't want to get drunk anymore, she already had too much wine earlier. While she was sitting there and looking at everyone having fun, talking to each other a red haired guy came and sat on a stool beside her.

Jian looked at him. He was totally trying to read her and judge her from top to bottom. He wasn't even trying to hide it. Jian was confused,"Hey?"

"Are you and Baekhyun dating?"

Jian almost choked out her water,"WHAT? No!"

He frowned and put his chin on his fist thinking hard,"Then what's your relationship with him? Be honest. It's just I'm really confused and curious.."

"You are making me confused and curious,"Jian said making him break his serious demeanor and laugh. He got himself a glass and poured himself some vodka and said,"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. This..this just is a new experience and I don't know what to feel about this."

"What?"

"Baekhyun bringing a girl in our territory. He has never brought anyone here. He's a strict believer of no outsider should step a foot in here. But now.."

"Well, he tends to lie for a dramatic effect so.."

He smiled,"You're right. But are you sure you're not dating him?"

"I'm pretty sure."

"Then what's your relationship with him actually?"

"A very weird one. I don't even know how to explain it so I'm going to spare you the headache."

"You two are already giving me and Yunho hyung a massive headache."

Jian sighed,"I wish I could meet the Yunho hyung Baekhyun keeps talking about."

"You talk to Baekhyun informally? No Oppa or something?"

"It's a long story to be honest."

He shook his head, getting more confused,"One time Baekhyun whopped Jongin's ass when he mistakenly forgot to call him hyung. What the heck is happening here? And why do you want to meet Yunho hyung? You have a death wish or something?"

Jian chuckled,"Baekhyun grew up with him, and according to Baekhyun he 'founded' him. He keeps saying how great of a hyung he is and how much lovingly he raised Baekhyun. So I wanted to meet that amazing hyung."

The red headed guy smiled,"But it's in your best interest that you don't fall in front of Yunho hyung. Okay? By the way did Baekhyun not praise about me?"

Jian tilted her head. Before she could ask he realized,"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Joonmyun. Ace's second in command. And I also raised Baekhyun lovingly. So did he say something about me?"

"Oh! So you're Joonmyun? Baekhyun did mention about you."

"What did he say about me?"Joonmyun asked, very excited.

"Oh..."Jian leaned close to him and said,"You see I call him boomer."

He nodded.

"He once said..that he wondered what I would do if I met his Joonmyun hyung who is the biggest boomer of this planet."

Joonmyun was shocked,"That ungrateful son of a b.."

"You talking about me?"Baekhyun appeared from somewhere and asked.

"You called me the biggest boomer?"Joonmyun asked,"This is what I get for raising you, brat?"

Baekhyun smiled cheekily,"By the way what were the two of you talking about? You weren't trying to scare her off, were you? But honestly I doubt anyone in this world could scare her."

"We were talking about stuff.."

"He was judging me and trying to figure out what out realationship is,"Jian cut him off and said making Joonmyun surprised by her boldness and making Baekhyun laugh,"I knew it. Hyung Stop it, it's her birthday."

"By the way, Jian-ah,"Baekhyun looked at her,"How are you feeling? My friends are a bit..you know..eccentric."

"No, they are amazing. I'm having a lot of fun. There's just one thing bothering me."

"What?"

"All of them are so good looking. I'm wondering is everyone actually so good looking of is it just cheerleader effect or something?"

"What's cheerleader effect?"Joonmyun asked.

"Oh hyung.." Before Baekhyun could explain to Joonmyun Jian pointed at someone,"Especially that guy. He doesn't look real. There's no way he actually looks like that."

Both Joonmyun and Baekhyun turned to the guy she pointed at.

"Oh! He's Lucas and yes..he actually looks that good. Even he knows it,"Joonmyun said,"When we have a problem we send him to distract people with his looks and it works."

"Woah,"Jian was genuinely surprised,"He looks like a Greek God or something,"She then looked at Baekhyun who wasn't liking any of this conversation,"Is he single?"

"JUNG FREAKING JIAN,"Baekhyun bursted out,"I thought you didn't care about looks."

"Yeah that was before I saw him. I don't get to see a Greek God everyday, do I? Can I have his num.."

Baekhyun frowned, Joonmyun was having fun seeing what was going down.

"Oh my God, Jung Jian. You've spent enough time here, now let's go,"Baekhyun said while grabbing her wrist.

"Where are we going to?"Jian asked.

"Anywhere but this room. Let's go to the dance floor downstairs. You like going to clubs and dancing like crazy, don't you?"

"Baek..that was over a year ago. Let it go."

Baekhyun stuck out his tongue and pulled her out of the room. Baekhyun didn't but Joonmyun noticed her smile when he pulled her out. As if she was planning this.

Joonmyun was confused so he also got out of the room and stood in the balcony looking at the dance floor.

Soon he could see Jian and Baekhyun in the middle of the dance floor, having fun with each other, dancing without giving a damn about anyone or anything else. Baekhyun doesn't usually let himself go like this. But seeing him so happy in the dance floor with her made Joonmyun happy. Baekhyun was happy. He was glowing. It wasn't the forged happiness he always portrays, he is genuinely happy with her.

This girl has an effect on him. She is changing him. As an elder brother who has seen Baekhyun suffer mentally and hiding it for so many years, Joonmyun genuinely feels happy. But as a gang leader, seeing Baekhyun get so weak around a girl, change so much, Joonmyun is not liking it. He is sure as hell that Yunho wouldn't like it too. At all.

Now Joonmyun doesn't know what he should do. Should he act like an elder brother that raised him or should he act like a strict gang leader whose gang's ace member is Baekhyun.

The rest of the stay at the territory was also amazing. Baekhyun, Taehyung and a few of their friends gave her a small tour of the territory. Jian had expedited so many things she didn't ever see. She saw ani underground bike race, fight, shooting competition and so much more. Jian felt like a badass, a part of an action movie. She couldn't believe Baekhyun actually lives like that and sees these everyday.

When they finally got into the car to go home, Jian was still very happy. Before getting into the car Joonmyun had made her swear she won't ever tell anyone what she saw tonight. She happily did. This experience is enough for her.

"Let's go!"Jian said excitedly when getting in the car,"This has to be the best birthday ever. Thank you Baek."

"The night's still young, Miss,"Baekhyun said while fastening his seat belt.

"Huh?"

"Fasten your seat belt."

"Where are we going?"Jian asked while fastening her seat belt.

"I once heard you say you wanted to go on a drive with high speed on a lonely road?"Baekhyun asked,"So lets go!"

Jian's jaw dropped,"You remember that?"

"Yes tonight's the night to make all your wishes come true!" Baekhyun said,"From tomorrow you are going to have to study your ass off for college admissions. Remember about getting in the top college?"

"Ah! You didn't have to ruin my vibe like that,"Jian said,"But let's hit the road!"

Baekhyun smiled at her enthusiasm and started his lambo,"Young lady, this is gonna be the best drive of your life."

And it was. The highway was lonely, Baekhyun didn't hold back on speed, wind was blowing like crazy, the buildings far away looked like twinkling stars in a galaxy, the actual stars and moon in the sky were shining brightly, music was blasting from the radio, Jian's heart was throbbing crazily, adrenaline was pumping, Baekhyun was with her, everything felt like a movie.

After driving for a long while Baekhyun had stopped the car in a hilly area, on a small hill. There were a lot of trees around and they could see the beautiful city of Seoul from there. It was unbelievably beautiful. The sky and atmosphere were also beautiful.

Jian and Baekhyun were sitting on the ground, a bit in front of where he parked the car. Both of them were sitting in silence enjoying the view. Jian couldn't believe she had such an amazing night, it still felt unreal. A few years ago could she imagine herself here? In fact..hours ago could she have imagined after having that dinner..her birthday would turn so much better? It's all thanks to him.

"Baekhyun-ah?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for this amazing birthday. It is a night I will remember and treasure forever in my heart."

Baekhyun smiled,"I'm glad."

"You fulfilled a lot of my wishes."

"It's your birthday after all."

Jian took a deep breath and then looked at him,"Baekhyun-ah. The night is already amazing, it will be more amazing if you could fulfill one more wish of mine."

"What?"Baekhyun asked,"Is there anything more you want to do?"

Jian nodded,"I want to listen."

"To what? Music? Shall I play some on my pho.."

"No, I want to listen to my favorite singer sing. So.."

"Who is that? And where can we find him so late at n.."

Jian shook her head at his cluelessness,"It's you. You are my favorite singer. So please sing for me."

"What?"Baekhyun's cheeks were turning red,"First of all I'm not singing, second of all what do you mean your favorite singer. You've only heard me sing once.."

Jian held his hands,"And that one time was enough. So please sing for me. I'm the birthday girl.."

"Your birthday was over hours ag.."

"Please. Just this once, your singing will make this night perfect. Please."

Jian never praised Baekhyun. So he doesn't know how to act. He is flattered but he is shy, he can't suddenly sing like this when she's looking at him like that.

"No, Jung Jian. I'm not singing. Play a song on your phone or something. I know you prefer noise music over whatever I like."

That's when Jian said something unbelievable,"Oppa..please."

Baekhyun widened his eyes as his cheeks were turning redder. He wasn't sure if he heard right.

Jian was sensing that it was working. So she continued while holding his hands,"Oppa..Oppa..please. Just one song. Okay?"

Baekhyun quickly pulled hands away and looked to the other side while giving up. He can't take it anymore,"Okay. Okay stop, I get it. I will. Just don't call me that anymore."

Jian smiled,"Okay. Thank you op.."

"DON'T!"

Jian chuckled and waited for Baekhyun. He didn't turn around. He kept looking away and cleared his throat. And then he sang. He sang one of his most favorite songs called 'Don't go', hoping the cheerfulness would be perfect for tonight. His honey voice filled the lonely place and the empty place in Jian's heart.

"Lead me, to the place you live, take me with you.
I will follow you even if it's the end of the world."

After Baekhyun completed singing he finally turned to Jian. Jian was quiet till now. Listening to his voice. Jian had an expression that Baekhyun had never seen on her before. Her eyes didn't look so cold and lonely anymore. She looked changed.

"Baekhyun-ah?"

"Yes?"

"I just realized something."

"What?"

"You remember the time you asked me if I still feel lonely and empty? And I said I would answer when I'm sure about it?"

"Yes."

"I'm sure of it, Baekhyun. I don't feel alone anymore. I know I'm not alone anymore, even if you are not right by my side..I..don't feel lonely. Thank you for appearing in my life and taking my loneliness away."

Baekhyun smiled,"And thank you for taking mine away."

Jian also smiled. After looking into each other's eyes for a second they slowly turned back to the view and remained silent for the rest of their time their.

By realizing the disappearance of their loneliness, in this comfortable silence while looking at the beautiful city of Seoul both of them had realized one more thing.

They were head over heels in love with each other.

But none of them dared to say it out loud.

Oh what a night it was!

The days turned back to normal after that night. Everyone returned to their normal lives. Jian had to go back to studying her ass off for her college admission exams and Baekhyun went back to Seoul to his busy schedule. Both of them didn't talk about the night ever again. Jian as promised didn't reveal anything about the night to anyone. Grandma was at the hospital that night so she doesn't know anything that went down. Jian and Baekhyun were ignoring their feelings completely to not make the relationship awkward. Jian was telling herself the feelings that she thought of as love that night might not even be love. They might be the feelings of gratefulness for the epic night. But deep down in her heart even she knew that what her actual feelings were. But for now she decided to focus on her exams so she doesn't ever have to talk to her dad ever again. Baekhyun would be busy with work all these days anyways. He wouldn't even be near her so she doesn't have to worry about her feelings until after her admission. She would think it through after that.

But sadly Grandma's health wasn't in good condition. Jian had found out about her whole plan of not getting the surgery till she gets into a college and she wasn't having any of it. There is no way in hell she was going to risk her grandma's health. Even though grandma has tired to tell her if she gets the surgery now Jian wouldn't be able to concentrate on her studies but Jian really doesn't care.

She has to somehow manage her studies and get grandma to get the surgery anyhow. Jian isn't playing around about making her grandma get surgery, grandma seems to know how serious she is. But deep down even she is worried about her studies. She doesn't even want or have the time to think about Baekhyun.

God, is there a way I can both take care of my answers and study my ass off?

One day the answer appeared on her door with a huge bag of luggage when she least expected. Her jaw dropped when she opened the door one evening and saw Baekhyun smiling at her.

"Hey!"

Jian was shocked but tried to remain calm,"Hey..what's that?" Jian asked while pointing at his luggage.

"Oh this?"Baekhyun asked,"I'm here to move back till your admission exam. You see grandma requested me to come and look after you while you study."

Jian widened her eyes,"But I thought you were busy? What about you gang and Yunh.."

"I managed everything for now. So can you move?" Baekhyun asked and pushed her away from the doorframe.

Jian couldn't believe it.

By Baekhyun coming one of her problems is solved. He would probably be able to take care of grandma when she studies but what if..

She looked at Baekhyun who was smiling ear to ear.

What if her feelings for him come out and present themselves in front of him before admission?

It's gonna be real awkward.

She's gonna have to be real careful to hide it all.
