"Is there any special reason as to who you are following me to school?"

Jian asked, very suspicious about why Baekhyun got up and ready so early in the morning to go 'on a walk' but all he's doing is following her to the school.

"I'm just on a walk and your school happened to be on my way!" Baekhyun smiled, knowing Jian didn't believe him but there's really nothing she could do about it. She just rolled her eyes and went back to checking her phone.

It's been a few days since Minhee and Jaemin had broken up. Jaemin went to his sister's house in Jeju for a week to disconnect and heal. Even though he portrayed himself as strong as he could, everyone knew how hard this break up was on him. So nobody stopped him.

Last night Jaemin had called up Baekhyun and told him that Mark gave Jaemin the news that Minhee has been actively trying to take revenge on Jian by trying to bully her with her gang because she thinks Jian is the reason for their break up. Minhee is having a hard time scaring Jian because Jian couldn't have cared less about this bullshit. But things are slowly getting dangerous and Minhee is getting angrier. Minhee might involve her male bully friends and they are infamous for being really dangerous. They might attack Jian and successfully harm her. Jaemin is scared for her. Mark said that he would try to be with Jian as long as she's out of the class in school. And in class she'd be in teachers' observation. Jaemin is worried about when she is gonna be on her way to school or on her way back. They might attack her on the way. That's why he asked Baekhyun to try to drop and pick her up from school as long as he's not here. Baekhyun agreed and that explains why he's here.

Baekhyun was stopped by Jian when they were in front of the huge school gate. He was going to follow her to the classroom but she turned around, looked up from her phone and said,"I don't think you were trying to take a walk in my school. Bye!"

"I will leave after dropping you inside,"Baekhyun said casually.

"Baekhyun, parents aren't allowed in this early in the morning," Jian said and smirked.

Baekhyun widened his eyes,"PARENTS? What the fuck? I definitely look like one of your classmates after that hella skincare I did. No one would suspect a thing. Come on.."

Baekhyun was right. He looks way younger by the way he dressed up in the morning and styled his hair and wore huge Harry Potter glasses. He may even pass as one of her classmates.

"Baekhyun. You are not in an uniform, and I can guess why you're doing this. You really don't need to. I can protect myself."

"Yeah I know but.."

"No buts..go home and relax. I will be okay. Bye,"Jian said and pushed Baekhyun's shoulder lightly before going inside the school gates.

Baekhyun sighed and was about to turn back to leave but then he saw something disturbing. He saw a bunch of boys, probably five or six, barricading Jian and saying something. They definitely are the bullies. All the other students saw what was happening but walked by without doing anything. No teacher was around. Baekhyun's blood was boiling with anger. He ran to the school gate and was about to enter but the guard stopped him saying,"Student, you can't enter without an uniform."

At this point the boys had escorted Jian away from the crowd and took her to the back of the school. Baekhyun ran and got over the boundary wall and hid in the bushes at the back of the school where Jian was standing in front of the guys and they were still talking. There were no other people around. Baekhyun was contemplating whether to jump to rescue right now or to wait for a few minutes to feel where things are going. If he listened carefully he could hear their conversation.

The seemingly leader of the gang said,"So, I heard you made Seo Minhee break up with her boyfriend?"

"Uh Huh?"Jian said, uninterested and unamused.

"You do know how good me and Minhee are friends right?"

"Uh Huh?"

"So my good friend asked me to teach your annoying ass a lesson. And that adds up because I have been wanting to teach your feisty ass a lesson for along time. So that's what we will do unless you go there and apologize to her in front of everyone, on your knees. The choice is yours."

"Uh Huh?" Jian asked while blowing in on her nails, still uninterested in their crap.

"So what do you choose?"

Baekhyun in the meantime was calling up Seokhyung, Jian's homeroom teacher. He had gotten the number in his last visit to school, just in case. It's coming in handy now. The way Jian is provoking them, there's no way in hell this matter is gonna be resolved without any adult's interference.

Jian finally looked directly at him and said," Well, I kinda think it's pathetic that after a whole week of trying to bully me herself and her little kitty party squad she has now sent a whole gang of buff ass dudes to square up against me. She must be so so scared of me."

Baekhyun wanted to smack her, Why is she provoking them? Does she not see how big they are from her? Overpowering her wouldn't take a single second. Baekhyun had talked to Seokhyung but God knows if he will be able to come fast enough.

"You really think you the baddest bitch here, don't you? That's gonna change soon."

Jian smirked,"Go ahead, change the way I think, make me kneel in front of that bimbo. Let's see."

The leader scoffed and then looked at her angrily while taking a step towards her. He pushed her shoulder, making her stumble back. He did it again while saying,"You really don't know when to keep your pretty mouth shut, do you?"

Jian smirked while shrugging.

This got on his nerves and he instantly hit her forehead with the back of his hand creating a loud noise and making her stumble backwards again,"By the way, who was the dweeb that dropped you off today? Your boyfriend? That's sad cause with your attitude, you can't get anyone better than a dweeb. Why did he drop you off anyway? To protect you?"He laughed,"How can someone like that protect you?"

Baekhyun saw how her posture changed. It was subtle but she was angry now. No one from outside can notice it but Baekhyun knows. Her hand turned into a fist but she smiled,"I really was going to let you off easily. But what to do now, you made me really angry."

The guy laughed,"You just won't learn would you? Guys, bring the bats, let's teach this bitch a lesson for once and for all," With that he pushed her again, this time very hard, making her fall on the ground.

Baekhyun couldn't take it anymore. That must've hurt and God knows why Seokhyung isn't coming yet. Baekhyun was about to get up but Jian chuckled and got up. That chuckle sent shivers down everyone's spine. When she got up she casually slipped the backpack off of her shoulder while saying,"Remember guys, you are the one who hit me first, don't regret it later."

"What is she saying.."

"I really wanted to end this peacefully until you made that stupid 'dweeb' comment. Oh, you're gonna regret it."

"What.."

She rolled her sleeves up and signed them to come to her,"Come at me, you little fuckers."

Baekhyun widened his eyes but the next things happened so fast that he was frozen in his spot in awe unable to get up. The leader had enough and ran towards her with his fist out about to punch her but she grabbed his hands, turned around and threw him over her shoulder resulting him to loose his balance and fall on the ground, unable to get up.

Then Jian turned to the other guys, they were so shocked but they also lunged at her. Everything happened like a movie. Jian singlehandedly punched, kicked and held in chokehold five of the guys and threw them on the ground. They were in pain and were unable to get up. At one point Baekhyun had gotten his phone out and started filming the scenery because he was amazed. He picked up this trait of filming everything from Jaemin. According to him it's always 'pictures or it didn't happen'. And how could he miss the scene that almost looked like an action movie coming to life.

Jian is so small, sometimes he forgets how dangerous she actually is and how many medals she won in martial arts championships.

When Seokhyung finally came with a few guards and their principal Jian was holding one of the guys in chokehold and the rest of them were on the ground. When Jian spotted them, she let go of the guy and he fell on the ground. Jian dusted off her hands and casually said,"Sup, teach?"

"Jung Jian, What on earth is going on over here? I got a call hearing that these guys were bullying you but now...it seems opposite and did you even do all of this?"Seokhyung asked, not being able to believe his eyes.

"Teacher, she brought us here and did all this without saying anything,"The leader of the group said while trying to get up.

Baekhyun wanted to smack him for lying. Jian turned around and looked at the leader and said,"Ayy, that ain't cool. But whatever, I knew you were gonna pull this shit anyway so I have proof of what went down."

Then Jian picked up her bag and got her phone out of the front pocket of it. It was recording the whole conversation. She turned the recording off and handed it to Seokhyung,"Everything that has happened is recorded over here. I turned the recording on when I entered through the school gate because someone I know was really worried about my safety. So here goes. I'm leaving now. If you need me for anything, I will be in the classroom. Bye!"

With that Jian walked away leaving the guys looking guilty and the teachers and guards looking confused about how she managed to overpower so many guys alone.

Baekhyun smiled. He really was worried about nothing. She can protect herself.

But his eyes turned dark when he looked at the boys. They totally messed with the wrong girl and they would have to pay for it. He would teach them a lesson they would never forget. And if he doesn't they would go after Jian again.

That night at 2 am, Baekhyun snuck out of the house and snuck into the teacher's room of Jian's school. Sneaking in the school was a piece of cake for him. When he got to Seokhyung's desk, he turned on his phone flashlight to look for all the records of the students. They weren't in the desk, they were probably locked in a cupboard. So he opened the lock of the cupboard with a chopstick he had brought and finally found records of all the students of Jian's year. He soon found the pictures and the names of all the guys that tried to bully Jian this morning and clicked picture of all the given information in the records and sent the pictures to Taehyung before calling him.

"Taehyung-ah, I sent you pictures of some people. Please send me everything you can find about them, especially illegal activities. Okay? Quick."

The next afternoon the five guys that were after Jian were gathered in an alleyway that is usually they gather at for smoking. That's what they were doing now too.

"I can't believe that tiny girl did that to us yesterday,"The leader of them, Minsung said.

"I can't believe that we got suspended for two fucking weeks just for that measly recording. My mom gave me so much shit for that,"Another member, Hyun said.

"I was also in deep shit last night because of her,"Hyukjae said.

"It's embarrassing as fuck, everyone's gonna make fun of us. We gotta do something,"Jaesung said while throwing his cigarette butt down and crushing it with his feet.

"Of course we must, we can't let that bitch get away so easily. I'm gonna break her limbs the moment I see her,"Minsung said angrily,"Does anyone know her address?"

Before anyone could answer they heard another voice said,"Well well well, aren't these my favorite stupidasses?"

They all turned to the front of the alleyway and saw a man with a grey hoodie and a black mask covering his mouth. They aren't sure they had seen him before.

"Listen, whoever the fuck you are, it is better to leave now. We are not in the best of the mood. If you want your limbs intact, leave,"Jaesung said while lighting up another cigarette.

"Aha?"The masked guy said,"Don't wanna talk? That's about to change,"He said and was looking for something in the back pocket.

"What's this guy's deal? Get rid of him,"Minsung said to the rest of his gang.

The guy chuckled as Jaesung and Hyun stepped towards him. He had gotten a few pictures out of his pocket and held them in front of their faces. That made all of them stop and look at the pictures, horrified.

Pictures they took while bullying other people, snatching money from people, drinking, smoking, going to clubs and what not. They widened their eyes. These pictures were secret, only they knew about them, how did this guy get them?

"This y'all?"He asked while pointing at the pictures,"I wonder how your parents would react when they see what their amazing sons had been up to? And I wonder how many years of prison sentence would y'all get?"

They all had thrown away their cigarette in anger. Hyun was trying to be brave and grab the pictures away but he got kicked really hard on the knee by the masked individual making him fall on the ground and groan in pain. The rest of them also tried to get the pictures but the guy was super skilled in fighting. Everyone was down with a black eye and a busted lip in a span of few minutes. All it took was a few punches.

Now they were all on their knees on the ground looking at him with fear. Looks like they finally came to their right senses.

"Sir..are you from police?"Minsung asked.

He laughed sending shivers their spines,"Unfortunately for y'all, I'm way dangerous than that."

"Sir..w..what do you want from us? We would do anything so please don't tell these to our parents,"Taeho said while slightly shaking.

"Anything?"he asked while raising his eyebrows.

They all nodded in unison.

"Fine, then go to school tomorrow, get on knees in front of everyone and apologize to Jung Jian."

"Wha..t?"

"You don't want to?"He asked while raising his eyebrows.

"No no sir, we would do it!"Minsung said on behalf on them. The rest nodded.

"And if I ever see Jung Jian with a scratch on her, y'all better know that the next thing you will see that you're asses are in prison with a few broken limbs and with your parents shouting at you from outside."

They nodded quickly again.

"Good. I'm gonna go now. You guys also go home and reflect on all of your actions. And also pick up the damn cigarette buds you threw. Aish, kids these days be smoking left and right."

With that the masked guy left.

" I told you clicking those pictures was a bad idea!"Hyun said to Minsung while wincing in pain. Minsung was the one who was adamant about clicking those pictures to 'keep memories'.

"Gosh, how would I know? And who even was that guy? Jian's boyfriend or something?"Minsung asked while getting up.

"I don't know who he was but he was kinda cool,"Jaesung said while picking up his cigarette bud.

"I know right!"Taeho said.

"Shut the fuck up and clean the mess first,"Minsung shut everyone up but everyone in their mind found that masked guy kind of cool.

Jian was utterly confused the next day when as soon as she stepped her foot in the school ground, the whole bully squad with black eyes and busted lips came to her and kneeled down in front of her in front of everyone. Everyone was so shocked and they quickly started clicking pictures. Minhee was there too, utterly speechless.

"Jian, we are so sorry for what we did the day before,"Minsung 'The leader' said,"We have been reflecting on our actions and we hope you would forgive us. Once again we're sorry."

"We're sorry!"The rest of them shouted.

"Oh..okay?"

This is definitely going down in the history of the school as one of the most legendary things to ever happen on this school ground.

It had finally clicked Jian what had happened. Baekhyun was definitely behind this. Did he beat up high school kids because they bullied her?

It was hard for Jian to contain her smile.

That explains why he was so busy these two days!

"Hyung, I found out a lot in these two days, you were kinda right,"Taehyung said on phone,"Jian had a male friend which she was really close too. Really close, probably even had feelings for him. He is named Eric Lee, he is a son of one of her father's business partners. They grew up together, went to school, competitions, hang out everywhere together."

"Uh Huh?" Baekhyun asked, not necessarily surprised.

He had a doubt about this ever since Jaemin mistakenly spilled about Jian needing to 'move on' from someone. Currently it's 7 pm. Baekhyun is out in their backyard talking to Taehyung on phone. Jian and grandma are inside the house doing their things.

"Is Jian still in contact with him?" Baekhyun asked.

"No, they cut of contacts on that happened."

"What do you mean by 'that'?"

Even in the phone Taehyung sounded nervous,"Hyung..it might be a sensitive topic to her.."

"It's okay, tell me. Please. I really need to know."

"Hyung..did you know that...Jian had an elder half sister?"

What?

"Didn't you say she only has a younger stepbrother?"

"Yes that's the point. She had a half sister but her father hid her from the whole world. She is no where on the family register. But she existed. I found a very very old picture in Jian's Instagram deleted photos. She is definitely Jian's sister. Damn I don't understand any of it."

Even Baekhyun was confused,"So where's she? And why would Jian's father hide her?"

"I don't know. And seems like she passed away,"Taehyung said nervously.

"What?"

"Yes, after that she came back to Korea, cut off all the connections with all of her friends there. Even Eric."

Baekhyun sighed. He has found out what is the main issue with Jian. It's related to her sister. But he still doesn't know so many things,"Taehyung-ah, send every info you found about her to me. Quickly."

Baekhyun then went to grandma contemplating whether to ask her or not. He ended up asking her,"Grandma, if you don't mind me asking, is Jian's current situation related to her sister's passing?"

Grandma's face fell. She looked sad. But she trusted Baekhyun so she ended up sharing something's to Baekhyun. She also needed someone to share these secrets to.

Jian had an elder sister. Nina. A beautiful, charming, brilliant and loving girl. Jian's dad had her before he got married to Jian's mom. According to him it was an accident. Jian's dad was obsessed with perfection. And Nina didn't fall into his perfect future plan. Hence he abandoned her and her mother. Jian's mother didn't know any of it until Nina's mother got terminally ill and left Nina with her biological father. Jian's mom was shocked but soon came to love eight year old Nina as if she were her own child. Jian always wanted a sibling hence she also fell in love with Nina. After Jian's mom's car accident the two sisters became closer than ever. Nina never showed Jian how much she was suffering on the inside. She ended up taking her own life.

Grandma was about to tell Baekhyun more about it..how Jian actually developed the trauma of rain. But right then Jian entered the room and held Baekhyun's elbow.

"Follow me,"Jian said sternly and dragged him upstairs to the roof. He willingly followed.

Once they had both reached the roof she let go of his arm and looked at him,"You are digging into my past. Why? Why does it matter to you, Byun Baekhyun? You think you can fix me? You think I'm a charity case? Helping me would wash away your crimes? Do I look like a damsel in distress to you?"

Baekhyun knew she was saying all this in anger. She was breathing heavily. She's scared of other knowing and using her past against her. She's scared of appearing weak in front of others. He knows it all.

He took a step at her and slowly touched her cheek to calm her down,"It's okay, Jian. Everything's okay."

"No, nothing's okay. Literally nothing is okay. Everything was fine before you came. Now everything's a mess. My life's a mess."

"No Jian-ah, your life is slowly starting to be normal again. You are scared of that. It's okay. I'm with you."

"No! No! Don't try to be sly Baekhyun. You are just doing this because 'helping a troubled teenager' would make you feel good about yourself. There's nothing more to it. You have no right to.."

It's looking like she's convincing herself. She's scared, panicked and excited. Baekhyun smiled and patted her hair with another hand. She was about to cry any moment.

"Jian-ah? Look at me."

Jian shook her head.

Right then thunder roared making her flinch and grab the hem of his T-shirt tightly.

"It's okay, Jian. I'm with you,"Baekhyun said and slowly lifted her head to look directly in his eyes. Tears were welling up in her eyes.

"Jian-ah, I know you are feeling wronged. I'm sorry for digging up your past without permission. But you have to admit that you are scared of the fact that you are turning into a new person. But trust me, it's not a bad thing. Everyone's happy about your changes and soon you'll realize how important they are to you. I know that best because I've been through something similar. And once again I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I won't do that again."

The thunder roared again. Jian flinched again. Rain will start falling any moment now.

Baekhyun looked at the cloudy sky and then looked at her,"Let's get inside now. Come."

Baekhyun was turning around but her grip on her T-shirt tightened. Baekhyun turned to look at her. She wiped her tears with her free hand and said,"Listen."

"Hmm?"

"Don't go on digging my past or anything about me ever again."

"Yes, I promise..I won't..."

She cut him off in a low, barely audible voice,"I myself will tell you everything one day, when I'm ready."

With that she left his shirt and walked away from the roof.

Baekhyun couldn't believe what he heard. He thought Jian was again gonna shout or scream at him. But what she said..made him want to jump with happiness. A big smile formed on his face as he stood on the roof.

"Are you not coming?"Jian shouted from the stairs.

"Coming!" Baekhyun said with a wide smile, "Wait for me!"
