"Man, this sucks!"

Chenle said as Baekhyun brought snacks in his room where Jian and Taehyung who were trying to console him. As soon as Minhee broke the news out to Jaemin, Jaemin came to Jian's house and told her everything. Even though Jian knew something like this was gonna happen and when this happens she wouldn't give a damn and tell him 'I told you so' and return to her studies, like everyone expected her to do so, she gave a tight hug to Jaemin and comforted him for hours. In the mean time Chenle and Taehyung also came to Jian's house when they heard the news about Minhee.

Jaemin was a mess, as everyone might expect. He was crying, he was heartbroken, he was on the verge of losing it.

"How could she do this to me?" Jaemin asked while crying,"I loved her with my all. She was my first love, my first girlfriend, my first everything.."

"Oh TMI,"Chenle said as everyone glared at him he said,"I'm sorry, was tryna light the mood."

"Jaemin-ah, even you knew she wasn't good for you,"Taehyung said.

Baekhyun set the tray of snacks on the table and said,"He's right, Jaemin-ah. It's gonna hurt for the time being but eventually you are gonna forget about her. Who knows maybe ten years from now on you are gonna look back and say that you're glad for the experience."

Jian nodded.

"I doubt that this heartbreak is gonna let me live for that long,"Jaemin said while wiping his tears away.

"Don't say that, Jaemin-ah. This Minhee ain't shit,"Jian said while patting his shoulder,"You're gonna find something way more amazing, loyal girl who loves you."

Baekhyun was amused by the way she was talking. She didn't once roll her eyes, no sarcastic remarks. Damn, who is she?

After hours of crying after Jaemin had kind of calmed down Taehyung said,"Minhee totally did very wrong by hurting our precious Jaemin like that. She has to pay."

"Yes we totally should take revenge,"Chenle said,"We should expose her.."

Baekhyun was about to calm them down but then Jian said,"Guys no, revenge is childish."

Everyone looked at Jian as she continued,"We are not kids anymore, are we? Let's handle this maturely. I think Jaemin moving on and shining in his life is the best revenge there is."

Taehyung clapped, Chenle followed him.

Baekhyun frowned. He doesn't know why he has a super odd feeling about this. Who is this girl? And what did she do to Jian?

"Jian's right, guys. What's the point of revenge? The damage is already done,"Jaemin said,"My dreams are already crushed."

Jaemin was about to enter another crying session, thankfully the doorbell rang before that and Jian excused herself to go and get the door. Baekhyun also excused himself as Taehyung and Chenle were there to comfort him.

"Who are you and what did you do to Jian?"Baekhyun asked jokingly.

Jian shrugged.

"I really thought you were gonna shrug and return to your game when Jaemin showed up at our doorstep."

"What kind of monster do you see me as, Byun? And yes I wanted to do that, but that would make him cry even more and that would be more annoying..so..no."

"You could've just said it's because you care about him as his best friend. Way to ruin a moment," Baekhyun rolled his eyes.

Jian smirked,"I told you caring is overrated."

As Jian reached the door she opened it only to see Minhee standing in front of her door. Baekhyun also came up beside her to see who came and was shocked at the audacity of Minhee.

"Hey, Jian-ah, is Jaemin here? He kind of ran off from one of our dates and is not picking up my calls.."

"Ran off? Date??"Jian repeated under her breath. Baekhyun had a bad feeling about this. He can't let Jian talk to Minhee more. God knows what Jian might do in a fit of anger. Even though she is acting real calm and collected, he knows how much she cares about Jaemin and how freaking furious she is at Minhee.

Baekhyun quickly pushed past Jian who was rolling her sleeves up and looked at Minhee,"Minhee, Jaemin is currently not here and even if he's here, there's no way he can meet you. So why don't you go home and reflect on yourself?"

"Oppa he already told you, didn't he? Oppa honestly I'm not that kind of a perso.."

Jian calmed herself down and pushed past Baekhyun and very calmly said,"Listen here Minhee. I don't care. You have already done enough. In fact more than enough, so here's one advice. Stay the fuck away from my best friend, "Jian said while taking small steps towards her. Minhee was backing down in slight fear. Because even if Jian was talking calmly, she sounded scary. Very scary.

Jian slowly leaned towards her and said while stroking her hair,"If I see you again anywhere near Jaemin, I swear to God, I will drag you..pregnant and all."

"Jian, stop trying to scare me. It ain't working..you can't do anything to me.."Minhee said trying to sound brave but everyone could tell, she was scared.

Jian chuckled darkly, sending a shiver down her spine. She leaned down right in front of Minhee's ear and whispered,"Did Jaemin not tell you that I'm a fucking lunatic? Do you wanna see what a lunatic can do?"

Seeing how scared Minhee was, Baekhyun came and pulled Jian back inside and told Minhee,"Minhee, go home. It's pretty late."

Jian had stomped her way to the kitchen and got a bottle of ice cold water and chugged it down completely to reduce her anger. Baekhyun followed her,"Damn, you scared her good."

"It's her audacity for me,"Jian said,"That fucking w.."

"Language."

"She's so gonna pay for what she did. She is gonna regret everything. Every damn thing. No one hurts my best friend and gets away..."She immediately regretted saying that sentence after saying it, knowing Baekhyun heard it.

"So much for not caring about Jaemin, Huh? And weren't you saying stuff like revenge is childish and all?"

"Who said I'm gonna take revenge? I didn't say it,"Jian shrugged, totally trying to cover her plan.

Baekhyun smirked, knowing very well that she was up to something. There is no way she would forgive Minhee just like that and be calm after everything she did to Jaemin.

"Come on, let's go upstairs to check up on Jaemin."

"Sure, lets go," Baekhyun said.

"Why are you smirking like that, Byun?"

"Absolutely no reason."

That very night at 3 am, when the whole neighborhood was asleep Jian got down from her grandma's bed. Tonight she was sleeping beside grandma as Jaemin and Chenle decided to have a sleepover. Grandma and their parents allowed. Taehyung also stayed in Baekhyun's room with Baekhyun. They were up late, but had finally gone to sleep.

Jian quietly tiptoed to the living room and made sure no one saw her. She slowly put on shoes in the darkness and was about to open the front door that's when the lights of the living room turned on. Jian took a deep breath. She's so busted. She turned around only to see Baekhyun standing in the middle of the living room with his arms crossed over his chest with a victorious smirk on his face. As if he was waiting for her in the darkness.

"Hello there."

Jian sighed,"What do you want?"

"Where are you going at 3 in the morning?"

"You act like as if you can't guess."

"Yeah, I can, you are going to Minhee's house to do something. What do you wanna do?"

Jian sighed and sat down on a couch,"I wanna steal her Gucci school bag that she loves more than her life and burn it down."

Baekhyun chuckled,"Do you even have a plan?"

"Yes, I know their pin. Then I'm gonna go in and get the bag from her room. It would kill her."

Baekhyun shook his head,"Oh you little amateur, if stealing were that easy, everyone would've been a thief by now. You're totally gonna get caught."

Jian frowned.

"Look firstly, what if someone wakes up after you press the pin by the sound? And even if you manage to steal it tonight the first suspect would be you as you threatened her a few hours ago. And if you burn it and put it back, then again the main suspect would be you. There's no way you are getting out of this without getting caught, if you do it tonight. You don't wanna end up in juvie, do you?"

"So what do you suggest I do?"

"Let some time pass. Don't they say revenge is a dish best served cold? After sometime, no one would know who stole the bag."

Jian nodded, understanding,"Makes sense."

Baekhyun smiled.

"Why're you smiling like that?"

"Jian-ah, it's really funny how you have a full on lecture on how revenge is childish and now look at you. I know you were planning on revenge as soon as you saw Jaemin cry."

"I just said that because I don't want them to be in trouble. They are not delinquents like I am, Baekhyun. Even you know that."

Baekhyun shook his head.

Jian continued,"And it might seem really childish to you. Me trying to steal a bag. But to be honest I really want to beat the shit out of her, really, that I can't. It's gonna hurt Jaemin. No matter how much she hurt him, he still loves her and I don't wanna hurt him more. So I was trying to do this for my mental peace."

Jian paused,"And Jaemin that guys, how can someone cheat on him? He's the best boyfriend anyone can ever find..he's such a great guy."

Jian paused and then sighed,"Even though he's such a great guy, I feel like he might go back to Minhee and forgive her. I'm scared. I want him to be free. I want him to be able to break free from this cage that he thinks is love. Minhee should be his past now."

"Jian-ah?"

"Hmm?"

"Why is it so hard for you to admit that you really care about Jaemin? I mean it's not a crime. Can you please stop building a wall? It's just stopping you from living your life. Why do you keep doing this?"

Jian sighed,"Let's not talk about it anymore."

"You always do this, Jian," Baekhyun shook his head,"Anyway, the next time you wanna steal the bag, can I come with you?"

"Huh? You?"

"Yup, I will teach you a few tricks as well. I will show you that stealing is an art."

"Whatever that means. But you're welcome. But why are you trying to help me with this?"

"If you couldn't tell already..I also really care for Jaemin. And Minhee totally deserves a piece of a humble pie."

"Fair enough, so Deal?"Jian asked while offering her hand.

"Deal!" Baekhyun said while shaking it and smiling.

Jian got up,"So I'm gonna go to sleep now. Night."

"Good night."

Jian was heading towards the door of her grandma's room but for some reason she turned around and said,"As you're gonna help me, I'm answering you this. You asked me why I think caring is overrated? May sound cliche but I know when someone you care about more than the whole world ends up leaving you. I don't want to experience that again."

Baekhyun looked at her calmly, without saying anything.

"Everyone I had ever cared about ended up leaving me alone. Jaemin will too one day or another," you will too ,"So yeah..does that answer your question?"

Baekhyun got up and smiled while walking towards her. Jian suddenly felt a new feeling she never felt before as he started walking towards her with that warm smile.

He came right in front of her and held both of her wrists reassuringly and looked at her eyes,"Not everyone leaves, Jian-ah. It will be proven. All you gotta do is let yourself go and show that you care."

Baekhyun smiled with his eyes too. And then ruffled her hair with one hand.

"Sweet dream, Jian-ah."

After giving her one more genuine smile, Baekhyun walked up the stairs to his room, leaving Jian down there, frozen.

With her heart beating crazily with a feeling she had never experienced before.

"You all must be wondering why I gathered you all here,"Jaemin said in a low and mysterious voice.

Currently all of them are in Baekhyun's room, totally uninvited, except for Jian who was playing video games in her room. Taehyung is also here, making Baekhyun wonder how bored he actually is in his home. Does Yunho not give him work these days?

It's been a week and a half since all of that went down. Jaemin is slowly turning normal. He's ignoring all of Minhee's texts and calls and visits. Even in school he tries to avoid her and if she somehow manages to get close to him, Jian barricades him like a wall and gets her away. Jian knows Jaemin isn't ready to face her yet. Minhee isn't too happy with Jian because of that but because she is kinda scared of Jian, she can't do anything.

These days, a thing helped Jaemin get better quickly. Diverting his mind from Minhee, to a new topic. The new topic being Jian and her 'crush'. In this one and a half week, he's pretty certain that she totally has a crush on that Canadian dude in their school. During break times he tags with Jian to their 'study lessons' and saw how Jian is around him, how she chuckles at his lame jokes and what not.

"I didn't know Jian was able to have on someone other than that Baëkhyun guy from that kpop band,"Chenle said.

"Oh, this feels unbelievable,"Taehyung said.

"Hyungs, the most fun part hasn't even started yet!"Jaemin said.

"What?"Taehyung asked.

"He has asked her out on a date this weekend.."

"WHAT?" Baekhyun who was quiet till now suddenly shouted, shocking everyone and making them turn to him. Baekhyun coughed, trying to remain calm and said,"Isn't a date too fast?"

"Well..it isn't technically a date. He asked her to meet him at a school ground and then they would go to a cafe to study, whatever..to me it's a date. And now, it is our duty to make this date go perfect so one date turns into two dates, two turns into three and then.."Jaemin smiled,"They become a happy couple!"

"Guys I still think it's moving too fast.."

"No hyung, trust me it isn't. And also dating someone would help her move on from.." Jaemin abruptly stopped as if he had blurted out something he shouldn't have. So he quickly changed the topic nervously. The other two didn't catch it but Baekhyun totally did.

Move on?

Move on from what?

Or rather whom?

Baekhyun frowned.

Is it what I think it is?

Baekhyun's trail of thoughts were broken by Jaemin's dramatic question.

"Anyways guys, are you all in my plan or not?"

"I'm in!"Chenle said,"It's gonna be interesting."

"I'm in too!"Taehyung said.

Baekhyun didn't like anything about it. He has a bad feeling about it and he has no intention of being part of this stupid plan of making this little date perfect. The three of them of looking at him with expectations.

"Guys..I don't know.."

Taehyung smiled ear to ear and innocently held his hand while raising it,"Hyung is in too!"

Baekhyun glared at Taehyung.

Taehyung smiled,"Come on. It's gonna be fun!"

Baekhyun sighed.

Why? Just why?
