The Girl

Robbie was standing there, clapping his hands in approval as you blushed in his presence. The one and only Robbie Kay was standing before you, smiling softly at you as he clapped for your performance. You grew redder at the thought of him watching you copy him, especially for such a passionate song.

You looked down, unsure of what to say to him. This was your role model, your idle, and you didn't want to screw things up before it even began.

"What's wrong? You weren't so shy before you saw me," he smirked down at you. You felt your cheeks heat up more than they already were.

"That's kind of the point," you replied as coolly as you could, not wanting to stutter in front of him.

"What? Am I embarrassing you or something?" he asked flirtatiously. You bit your lip; he didn't even know you yet he was flirting as if he had known you for forever.

Although, you shouldn't be surprised at his flirting skills. Women and girls alike practically threw themselves at him every day, making him used to his female attention. Heck, he even admitted to liking it in an interview.

You smirked back at him, trying to pretend like it was your best friend, Hunter, with whom you flirted with every time.

"Me? Embarrassed? In front of you? Never," you smirked, although you knew the truth was quite the opposite; you were very embarrassed having been caught skating one of his routines.

"Oh really? Then how come you're blushing so much?" he asked in an equally mischievous voice.

"It's very cold out on the ice, almost as cold as my heart. Cold makes people blush sometimes, don't you know?" you continued to smirk.

Although that seemed to put a stop to the flirting immediately.

"Please don't get me started on that. A little bit of cold won't hurt you, and neither will blushing a bit," Robbie groaned, annoyedly resting his head in his hands.

"I never said it did..." you trailed off confusedly, "What happened there?" you asked.

"My last skater in training. I actually just quit training her. She never wanted to do anything because she was so worried about ruining her so-called 'looks.' Though, I don't think the ice could do a better job than Mother Nature already did. She was as ugly on the outside as she was on the inside," he explained, half groaning throughout his explanation.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear," you apologized sincerely. Though, on the inside, you were cheering and praying that your idol may choose you to coach next.

"I'm more sorry about my eyes and what they went through. But, they seem to be healing. I mean, they've settled on you," he smirked, returning to his flirtatious behavior.

You blushed even heavier at the thought. "Oh, hush! There's nothing special to look at here that you can't find on any other girl," you said before quickly dismissing the compliment.

"Exactly, that's what makes it special. You can't find it on any other girl," he continued to smirk, enjoying the reaction he was getting out of you.

"Robbie Kay, are you hitting on me?" you asked with a laugh, your heart rate increasing as you awaited his answer.

"It would seem that I am," he licked his lips as you stepped off of the ice.

"What, would you like a prize for it?" you giggled, sitting down to take your skates off.

"Why, yes I would. Can I have your number?" Robbie smiled as he sat down next to you.

"You are just too smooth, Robbie Kay. I think you've earned my number," you smiled as you took his phone in your hand, quickly inputting the information.

"Why, thank you. I look forward to using it later," the skating champion smirked as he put his phone away.

Once your skates were off and your shoes were back on, you stood up. "Well, if you need anything, just holler. I'll be behind the counter," you informed him.

"Do you work here?" he asked inquisitively.

"Sort of, my dad own's the rink," you answered.

"So that's why you're so good," he commented.

"I'm good because I put in the work and practice, not because of who my dad is. I thought you of all people would understand that," you sighed before turning around and walking away.

As Robbie stood there, dumbfounded by your quick exit, he smiled to himself.

He had just found his next prodigy.
