Robbie Kay x Reader - My Time
All you ever did was work. You were a full time college student who was into everything that was available. You performed with your school marching and concert band and led as drum major, edited the school paper, swam for the swim team, played on the tennis team, and was President of the volunteering organization, Honor Society, Hispanic Honor Society, and Student Government. You also worked part time at your local Barnes and Nobles store and managed multiple social media accounts where you blogged and wrote short stories.
With all of these different groups, you found yourself constantly running in multiple directions. You were constantly working on something, whether it was a miniscule promotional advirtisement or a large scale dance production for the school's Art department. Yet, you still decided to add on one more thing; a relationship.
When Robbie Kay decided to ask you out, he knew what he was getting into; or so he thought. He had been your friend for three months, and he knew how busy your schedule could get at times. It didn't concern him much, he understood having full schedules as he got used to the filming schedule for Once Upon A Time and Heroes Reborn. What was a college student's schedule compared to that of a professional actor?
But despite the many late nights he found himself working, it was nothing compared to what you did. As the relationship continued, you moved into an apartment together. Now that you lived together, Robbie could see how much you really worked. You could take over the dining room table as you covered it in textbooks and papers from your courses, working constantly throughout the day to keep up with the growing workload as you juggled a job and a social life as well. Robbie didn't mind, and tried to help you the best he could. But there was something that Robbie didn't see coming.
As you went to bed, you didn't sleep right away. You would be up for another hour or two as you sat typing away, whether it was an essay for a class or a new story for your blogs. At first, Robbie thought it was a once in a while thing, but it continued every night as you tried to get even more work done in the short time you had.
Now, Robbie wasn't mad at you. He knew it wasn't your fault; there were only twenty-four hours in a day and you needed to get a lot done. But he was a little irritated; he wanted you to get a good night's rest, and he wanted to fall asleep with you wrapped up in his arms with work far away from both of your minds.
Finally, as you sat there writing a four part story for one of your many one-shot collection books, Robbie had had enough. You were constantly tired from your lack of sleep, and it was showing in your mood and even your physical appearance. Bags developed under your eyes and it was obvious in your continuous yawning how hard it was for you to not fall asleep throughout the day. He was scared you would start to miss class if you dozed off during one of your periods. Not to mention, he wanted you all to himself for the nights at least, since everyone else on campus required your attention during the day.
As you were typing, Robbie sat up, grabbed your laptop, shut it, and put it in its rightful place; on the floor beside your bed. His actions scared you, causing you to jump before being filled with wonder.
"Baby, what are you doing? I need to finish that," you whined as he crawled back into bed. He didn't say anything as he reached across you to turn the lamp off before lying down and pulling you into his arms.
"You work all day every day, and even at night when you're supposed to be mine," he whispered in your ear, "But right now, this is my time."
