I lay on my bed, I hear the door click open, Dakota walks in front of me.

"Avery wake your ass up." Dakota barks, I look at my revolver.

"Why?" I ask, rolling over to face him. Dakota rolls his eyes.

"Jesus, Aurei is downstairs fixing you dinner, get your sluggish ass up, you're a grown woman and she's busy making you a to-go plate." Dakota snaps.

"Fine." I said, sitting up.

Dakota carries me bridal style towards the door.

"Okay Dakota!! Put me down." I said, Dakota shrugs.

"You think I wouldn't carry you like this downstairs." Dakota said, lowering me down.

"You were hard on Aurei today, you shouldn't do that." Dakota said, crossing his arms.

"You're right." I admit.

"Damn straight and don't you forget it." Dakota said, he moves a strand of hair behind my ear.

"And Fernando needs to talk to you." Dakota adds.

"I figured that." I said, facepalming at the fight I got into not too long ago.

"As long as you're sorry then it shouldn't really be a problem." Dakota said, opening the door.

"Okay okay....." I said, Aurei smiles at me as she walks inside.

"Since you didn't want to get out of bed I brought your dinner." Aurei said, crossing her arms.

"Jocelyn wanted to talk to you about something important by the way." Aurei said wryly, turning to Dakota.

"I'll speak to her now, I think I know where she is." I said, I ball up my bruised fists, Jocelyn is acting weird....I had a aunt who suffered from schizophrenia and she winded up getting herself killed by standing in front a car.

"Wait Avery." Aurei says, she runs towards me, hugging me tightly.

"Don't scare me like that again." Aurei warns.

"I'm sorry I was acting like a total ass today." I said, Aurei stops me.

"I just wanted to hug you." Aurei said, putting her hands up.

"Well I'll be right back." I said, I won't have Jocelyn lose her life the same way my aunt did, never.

I run up the flight of stairs.

I have to help her....I open the door, I could hear the undead. I saunter towards the edge of the roof, to see a herd trying to get past the fence, my eyes widen. Then some get shot down, I clutch my chest.

I hear a scream, I turn around to see Jocelyn running towards me with a knife in her hand.

She slashes me across the cheek, she tackles me, she tries to plunge the knife into my chest, she hollers wildly, I knee her in the chest.

"God thank you for leading me in the right direction." Jocelyn said, she looked completely dazed, she stands up she runs towards me with the knife in her grip, I dodge her, she trips over the ledge, I run after her but she falls quickly. I peer over the ledge to see her body.

"Dammit!!!!!" I scream, I could feel someone yank me back.

"What happened?" Aurei asks.

"She's dead." I said.

"Why?" Aurei asks.

"She tried to kill me, when she ran towards me she fell." I said, out of breath, Aurei closes her eyes.

"Why would she try to kill you?" She asks.

"Because she thought God was telling her to kill me....." I said bluntly, Aurei staggers back.

Aurei runs back downstairs, Fernando walks towards the staircase, he had a pistol in his hands. I stop dead in my tracks.

"What the hell happened? Those screams attracted more of the walkers." Fernando hisses, I shake my head.

"Jocelyn tried to kill me....but she fell off the roof." I explain. Fernando nods.

"She belongs to the dead now." Fernando said, I grit my teeth then slapped him in the face.

"You're having a hard time, I get that but your wife wouldn't want you to wander around thinking everyone's lives are worthless." I snap, Zayn runs towards the staircase.

"What's going on?" Zayn asks.

"Fernando will tell you, he is your leader after all." I said bitterly as I brush past him.
