Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Two - Two Other Brothers

After grabbing some spell ingredients, Dean led them to the armoury, where the alternate Sam and Dean were still in the wall like a projection.
"Chuck needs to see us here in the Bunker, right? So, here's our answer." Dean explained, motioning to the doppelgangers.
"Wait, so... You want them to be you." Cas clarified.
"Well, it's not that hard. Me and Sam do it everyday." The older brother shrugged. "So I'm thinkin', we open up a rift with a spell, kinda like we did with Apocalypse World. But, 'cause we're just trying to get them out of this... in-between, that I'm thinkin' Cas' grace would be enough instead of full power archangel juice."
"Or... It'll blast them away to another world." Sam thought aloud.
"That no longer exists." Eden added, frowning as the alternate Sam and Dean played a game of rock, paper, scissors for seemingly no reason. "That or it just won't work."
"Maybe." Dean nodded. "But it's better than leaving them here."
Jack and Willow looked to the four adults inquisitively.
"Come here and pretend to be you two or almost certain death..." Eden sighed. "It's a close call."

Sam used the flask from earlier to extract a small amount of Cas' grace, pouring it into the bowl they'd used previously for the Hell Spell. It bubbled and combined, causing a grey mist rise from it.
Sam uttered the spell and backed away.
After a few seconds, the spell began to take hold and cast a white light so bright that the whole room and its contents lit up.
When it died back down, the alternate Sam and Dean appeared before them, looking around the room and down at themselves with severe confusion.
"Hello again, boys." Eden smirked. "Fancy doing us a favour?"

With Willow and Jack in the Nephilim's room talking, Sam, Dean and Eden spoke with the newcomers in the War room.
Alternate Sam and Dean were sat down next to each other at the map table, the real Sam and Dean were standing on the opposite side and Eden was sat with her arms folded on top of her belly at the head of the table.
"So..." Sam broke the ice. "Back home, you're Hunters?"
"We were Hunters." The alternate younger brother replied.
"The family business." Alternate Dean sighed reminiscently, his fingertips dancing along the condensation on his beer bottle in thought. "But our world's probably gone. We made it out just before the explosion."
"That's... God." Dean uttered.
"God?" His alternate version repeated, his brows raised.
"Yeah. You're gunna need another beer." Sam smirked, raising his bottle to his lips.
"We actually don't drink much of this stuff." Alternate Dean picked up the beverage and turned it to look at the information on the stickers.
"Dad won't keep it in the house." Alternate Sam tittered. "He only likes his private label Scotch. He spoils us."
"I can get you some of that, if you'd prefer." Eden offered.
"I'm sorry, dear, we were never introduced." Alternate Dean gave a polite, slightly flirtatious smile.
"I'm Eden. Sam's fiance, daughter of Adam and Eve and the only Archangel God's sister ever made. Nice to meet you." She smirked.
The alternate brothers shot their gazes to Sam, who gave a proud smile to the girl and a nod to the doppelgangers.
"It's true."
"So, that means that..." Alternate Sam gestured to Eden's bump not as discreetly as he would've liked.
"Yeah. That's Sammy's kid in there." Dean smirked.
The other brothers looked to each other with raised brows.
"Wait..." Sam scrunched his eyes closed and shook his head. "Your dad is... Still around?"
"And he 'spoils you'?" The older brother scoffed.
"Well... He did." Alternate Sam shrugged. "We don't know where he is now. We all went through the rift together but, uh, I guess we got separated."
"Mm." Alternate Dean nodded, picking up his beer bottle. "To dad."
"Best guy ever." The other Sam hummed, picking up his own bottle to clink the two together before taking a sip. As they did so, they looked appalled at their beverages, as though they were above drinking such liquid. The Alternate younger brother looked around the War room, clearly intrigued. "So, this is where you live."
"Yeah. Yeah." Original Sam nodded, placing his beer down on the table to approach Eden and placed his hands on her shoulders affectionately.
"And this is where your hunting operation is based?"
"Uh, I mean. It's not really much of an operation." Sam scoffed.
"No, no. We do just fine." Dean chuckled. "We hunt monsters all over the country."
"It's exhausting, isn't it?" His alternate counterpart sighed, clearly trying to keep from rolling his eyes. The original older brother nodded.
"But we- we do it worldwide." Doppelganger Dean explained. "We have to keep two sets of pilots on standby."
The original trio's brows simultaneously raised.
"You guys have your own plane?" Sam clarified.
"You don't?" His alternate looked genuinely shocked. "Oh, dear... How do you manage?"
"I have wings. So do two others we have here." Eden shrugged. "And our little road trips usually have a great soundtrack."
"How do you afford it?" Sam queried.
"We get paid." Alternate Dean said as though it were obvious. "For hunting monsters."
"Wow." Eden whispered as her eyes widened. She awkwardly cleared her throat and adjusted her position in the map table chair.
"What? You don't?" Alternate Sam frowned to her. "How on earth do you get by?"
"Well, Eden's been around since the dawn of Humanity, so her bank balance is nice and toasty. Other than that, credit card scams." Dean replied.
His doppelganger almost choked on his beer.
"Is that legal here?" He asked.
"Not in the slightest. I tell them they don't need to do that anymore, but they won't listen. They feel bad for relying on my money to live." Eden replied. "But for some reason, they don't feel bad about the scams. It's like seeing the faces of the people they're taking money from changes things a little bit. Right, boys?" She teased, smirking to Dean, then looked up at Sam, who gave a breathy chuckle.
"Something like that."
"Hold up... How do you guys get paid?" Dean asked, still clearly bewildered.
"HunterCorp does very well." Alternate Sam replied.
"HunterCorp?" Sam and Eden frowned simultaneously as Sam shifted to take a seat opposite his doppelganger, prompting Dean to do the same.
"Yeah." Alternate Dean nodded, looking to his brother. "Well, gotta hand it to the old man. Pretty much built an entire empire. From scratch."
"To Dad." The brother smiled, picking up his beer bottle to clink against other Dean's again.
"Smartest guy ever." Other Dean scoffed. He took a drink and placed his bottle back down. "Well, look, fellas, Eden. Thanks again for the, uh- for the rescue."
"Oh! Glad you brought that up." Original Dean pointed a finger at him. "See, we've got ourselves a bit of a situation here. God smashed your world, like we said and..."
"And now he's gunna take out this one." Sam continued.
"And we're gunna stop him." The older brother gave a toothy smile.
"But..." Eden cocked a brow between them.
"But he may be checking on us here." The younger brother finished.
Alternate Sam shook his head out of disbelief as his brother frowned.
"God... 'Checks in' on you?" The younger doppelganger clarified, waving a pointed finger between the three.
"Pretty much." Eden shrugged, an amused smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "We give him the jeebs."
"Yeah. Uh, we kinda have a... Relationship." Dean nodded. "So, if he decides to look in on us, we don't want him to know what we're doing. So, you two, along with Eden, are gunna stay here and pretend to be us." He threw his thumb between himself and Sam.
"And how do we do that?" Alternate Sam asked with an equal expression to Eden's.
"Well, first off..." Original Sam started, turning to his doppelganger with a disgusted face. "I'm sorry, you're gunna have to lose the man bun."
His other worldy counterpart audibly gasped. His brother put his hand over his mouth, leaning back in his seat.
"I will not." Alternate Sam replied breathily, shaking his head as he flicked his plum blazer out, as if to make some sort of upper class stand.
"And, uh..." Dean cleared his throat, tugging at his shirt collar.
The other brothers looked down at their attire, earning a small shrug from Eden.
"I've said this to these boys once before and I'll tell you both what I told them; it's only acting." She smirked.
"Fine..." Alternate Dean sighed. "If this is how we can repay you for saving our lives, then so be it."

After the boys had left with Jack and Cas, Eden led the alternate brothers to the bedrooms.
After dropping other Dean off in the original's room, she took the alternate Sam to her room.
"Clothes are in those drawers." She told him, pointing to a mahogany dresser at the end of the bed.
"Just his? I wouldn't want to impose on anything of yours." He replied, chuckling awkwardly.
"Mine are next door. Don't panic." Eden smirked, giving him a cheeky wink. "I'll, uh... Leave you to change."
She turned to exit the room, but 'Sam' stopped her.
"You know the other versions of us best, by the sounds of things." He said, matter-of-factly. "What chance do you think they have of winning this fight?"
"We have two people living here who God fears. I think we have a better chance than when we faced his sister... And, we beat her. Sort of..." Eden sighed, turning back around to face him. She paused for a moment and sighed again. "When the boys aren't on a case, they're usually watching online videos and drinking beer. So once you're dressed the part, join me back in the War room."

'Sam' strolled through the library in jeans and a white and grey flannel with a black v neck T-shirt underneath. Eden dragged her gaze away from the book in her hands, took one look at him and rolled her eyes.
He still had the man bun...
"Sam's laptop is there. I've put some of his typical video types in a queue for you. So, go nuts." She told him, going back to her reading.
"Ah, excellent. Thank you." The doppelganger gave a hesitant smile and sat down in front of the computer, playing a compilation of funny cat videos.
'Dean' walked in with two beers, sighing as he placed one down in front of his brother.
"They said lose the man bun, Samuel."
"Look," 'Sam' huffed, adjusting one of his rolled up sleeves. "Hillbilly clothes are bad enough. I had to draw the line somewhere and my hair... Is sacred." He gave a small smile as he ran his fingertips down the back of his collar-length locks.
'Dean' sat down next to him and rolled his eyes as he pulled out his counterpart's laptop.
"So, what do we do now?" The younger brother pressed, looking to Eden as he took a sip of beer.
"This is it." 'Dean' replied. "They said be authentic, drink beer in front of a computer screen."
"That's your lives?" 'Sam' asked.
"That's effectively all there is to it when we're not hunting. I'll cook something for you both in a little while." Eden smiled.
"Only for us? Are you not eating anything?" He frowned.
"I don't eat." She shrugged. "I live on blood. But don't confuse me for the Vampires. I only drink from blood bags and evil little bitches who get in our way."
The brothers understandably got a little uncomfortable at the news.
"I see." 'Sam' uttered, clearing his throat.
"Don't worry. You're in no danger here and for someone who's never had a Human meal in her life, I cook impeccably. So Dean says, anyway." Eden chuckled, placing her book down on the table after making a mental note of the page number.
'Sam' took another, larger gulp of beer with his pinky finger sticking up and proud and scrunched up his nose in disgust.
"Oh my God..." He grimaced.
"You get used to it." 'Dean' shrugged as he pulled something up on the laptop in front of him. "Nice. Check this out." He turned the screen around to see it on Dean's favourite porn site; Busty Asian Beauties. "And there's like a ton of these files in here."
The website had the voiceover of a woman saying all sorts of lewd comments that clearly made 'Sam' rather uncomfortable.
"Can you imagine if dad caught us with this kind of stuff?" He leaned forward in his chair. "Goodbye trust funds."
"Trust funds?" Eden scoffed, taking her feet off the table. "Oh, wow. This is hilarious."
"I gotta tell you, Sammy. This Sam and Dean? You know, sure they're simple, but they've got this place of their own." 'Dean' sighed, putting his own feet up. "There's no quarterly reports, no investor calls, there's just... There's nothing to do but hunt monsters, drink beer and watch porn." He thought for a moment and glanced to Eden through the corner of his eye before looking at her properly. "You've lived since the dawn of mankind, right? Surely it must be incredibly boring for you to just sit around and do nothing."
"If I'm in the mood to be chilled out, it's fine. If I'm not, then I'll find a case or go for a drive or something." She replied. "But lately, it's been far too manic around here with the God fight to achieve any sort of calm. So, for me, sitting here with you two isn't so bad."
"You guys have it made." 'Dean' outstretched a finger to her that had been wrapped around his beer bottle, wagging it a little.
"When we're not battling it out with the likes of Angels, Lucifer, Demons and God himself, sure. It's a nice little life." Eden shrugged.
"How are you managing to do all that with a child on the way?" 'Dean' pressed, clearly peaking 'Sam's' interest.
"I'm invulnerable. And if the other Nephilim in the building is anything to go by, this little Angel won't need to worry about a thing. My Sam and Dean tend to forget that, so I've been 'Bunker bound' a lot recently. I've given up arguing with them about it. I don't have the patience." The Dark Angel smirked.
"Darn. I can't picture Sam here as a dad." The older brother scoffed. "We weren't built for that kind of thing."
Eden chuckled, shaking her head.
"I think my Sam and Dean would have agreed on that one if we were having this conversation five years ago. But now, with Jack and our adopted daughter Willow, I think we've all changed our tune a bit. Sam's been incredible with both of them. Dean too."
"Didn't your me say that Jack was never a baby?" 'Dean' asked.
"If you know that, then yes, he did." The Dark Angel nodded. "Neither child was ever a baby as we've known them, unless you count Jack in the womb. This will be their first full time experience with a newborn, if mine even will be."
"You mean you don't know?" 'Sam' frowned.
Eden shook her head.
"We're only guessing based off our experience withJack. We think he became a young adult because his mother told him before she gave birth that he had to grow up quickly, to be able to protect himself and others. There are so many differing factors, though. My baby is a Dark Nephilim, not a Light one, for starters. Then there's Jack's mother being Human and this one's father bein the Human instead. We're trying to avoid saying things that would make them age as quickly as Jack did, too. Everything we do now is to make sure this baby is born a baby and will stay that way for the natural length of time. But we just don't know."
"Do you know what it is? Apart from a Dark Nephilim, of course." 'Sam' pressed.
"I could find out just by listening. But I've been avoiding it because the boys want it to be a surprise, so I'm ignoring my senses for now." She replied. A small smile tugged at her lips as her fingertips lightly grazed over her growing belly. In response a small prod from the inside came, making the small smile grow into a toothy grin. "Oh, wow. Hello there, little o-"
Eden didn't even manage to finish her sentence before a bright white light caught her eye.
She and the alternate brothers looked down at her belly, seeing the light engulf both it and her. The last thing the boys saw was her wide eyes and a gasp before she disappeared.

Eden opened her eyes, squinting through the light that offended them so harshly.
Once her sight had adjusted, she gasped once more.
She was no longer in the Bunker.
But she knew exactly where she was.
Luscious greens, yellows, blues and pinks decorated her surroundings.
The Garden she'd grown up in smelt exactly as she'd remembered.
Looking down, she saw someone she didn't expect, laying on a matress of perfect grass with his eyes closed.
"Jack!" She leapt forward, falling to her knees beside the boy.
"Eden..." He mumbled, his eyes tightening before they opened and he slowly sat up.
"Yes, Jack. It's me. I'm here." She panted, running a hand across his back. "Are you alright? What are you doing here?"
"No, I mean... Eden. The Garden. I don't understand, how am I here?" He frowned, finally looking to her.
"I have no idea... I have no idea why I'm even here. What happened?"
Jack turned his gaze to look in front of him, wracking his brain about the last thing he remembered before he fell to the floor.
"I saw my sister. She told me if I was the one meant to find this place, I'd know soon." He frowned.
"Your sister? Honey, what are you talking about?" Eden matched his expression.
Jack's gaze fell to his hand, placing it on Eden's stomach.
"She implied that we were in another dimension. God hid the Garden from Humanity after Eve went dark." He said. "I think she can help us. That must be why you're here too."
Eden's eyes widened.
"A daughter..."
"I know what to do. I can feel it." Jack told her, getting up. He held out a hand for Eden to take, getting her to her feet as well. "I just need you to trust me. Trust us."
The Dark Angel gazed into her son's eyes, nodding her head slowly.
"I trust you completely." She uttered.
Jack took her hands and gave a deep breath, prompting Eden's subconscious to make her do the same.
The Nephilim's eyes turned their golden colour, their light trailing down his neck and arms, through his fingertips to Eden's. In turn, black smoke danced between their hands. The pair jolted when it slammed into Jack's chest.
The Nephilim gasped out, his body stiff and tensed.
"Jack!" Eden shrieked, attempting to let go of his hands, but to no avail.
All she could do was watch as the smoke streamed into him.

After a few seconds, it stopped. Their hands separated and Jack went flying backwards, ending up back on the floor, unconscious.
Eden attempted to go to him, but before she could, another flash came and she landed back in the Bunker.
"Are you alright?" Alternate Sam asked, running to her aid in the War room.
"Where's my phone? I need to call my Sam." She gasped, getting up from the chair she'd fallen into at the head of the map table.
Dean took it from its position a few feet from her, leaning over the furniture to hand it over.
She instantly dialled Sam's number and put the phone to her ear. When it didn't answer, she panicked, trying Dean's instead.
"Now's not a great time, Vampy Pants." He growled into the speaker.
"Is Jack with you? Is he alright?" Eden floundered.
"We don't know, he's-" Something cut Dean off, only stressing Eden out more. "He's here. He's out cold. I'm gunna have to call you back."
With that, the call went dead.
"If God heard that conversation, isn't your cover blown?" Alternate Dean asked the panting Archangel of Darkness.
"Screw the cover." She muttered, storming off towards the bedrooms.

When the boys returned to the Bunker, Cas had Jack's arm over his shoulders, helping him towards the kitchen.
Dean wouldn't let Eden interfere as the Light Angel checked the boy over.
So she and Sam waited outside of his room while the older brother said goodbye to the alternate brothers and sent them packing to Brazil.
"Is the kid okay?" He asked, approaching the couple afterwards.
"We don't know." Sam shrugged.
The kitchen door opened, revealing Cas, who promptly shut it behind him.
"What is it? What happened?" Eden was frantic.
"He seems to have recovered." Cas started, nodding.
"So... Jack's back." Dean clarified.
"Yeah, he is. But, um..." Castiel paused for a moment, sighing. "Something's different. Jack is... Well, he's been to the Garden - that's the crossroads of divinity and Humanity. No one's been there since the exile 'til now... 'Til Jack and Eden."
The Angel reopened the kitchen door and entered, allowing the other three to follow him in.

Inside, Jack was sat at the table with his head bowed and his hands entwined in front of him. His shoulders were hunched over, his face red with emotion.
"Hey, Jack. How you doing?" Sam asked, softly.
The boy shook head as he sniffed.
"I... I'm so sorry..." He whispered.
"For what?" Dean pressed.
"Why didn't I get it?" Jack whimpered, looking up at them with tear-stained cheeks and reddened eyes. "My mother died too. Why didn't I understand? It was my fault..."
Eden's heart broke when she realised what was happening. Jack's head fell forward again, fresh tears pouring from his waterline.
"Jack..." Dean hadn't quite caught on.
"His soul is back." Cas uttered.
The brothers looked to him, their faces sinking when they too realised what the boy was talking about.
Jack looked back up at them.
"Please... Just- please forgive me." He whispered through quivering breaths.
