Jenika woke up feeling refreshed and ready to start to the day. She was shocked that she felt so good after waking in the middle of night and still getting up at the crack of dawn. She just couldn't sleep in no matter how hard she tried. TJ was still asleep so she decided to text Ericha and fill her in all that happened yesterday.

***Texting***

J- Ericha. You awake?

E- Of course. I told you I can't sleep in EVER! How was the 2nd half? Did you get to meet the guys? How did TJ act around Adam? I need the details.

J- UGH! The concert was great. Everything went downhill from there.

E- WHAT? What happened?

J- TJ was being TJ when he met the guys so of course they were shocked at how he talked. I apologized to them (like normal). Austin told me it was okay and said it's never a bad thing to be smart. Then I couldn't form any words while standing in front of Tim.

E- LOL, I would love to see you speechless!

J- It gets worse. Tim told me Austin was right. Austin freaked out about Tim saying that. All the guys pretended it didn't happen and Austins pouty face was so cute I lost it right there. I couldn't stop laughing. I had a full on 5 min laughing fit, in the signing line. OMG! So embarrassing.

E- I'm dying over here. I would have loved to seen that. What did the guys do?

J- Just sat there and watched me laugh. Then when I was done Tim scolded me for apologizing for laughing. He said I say sorry too much. And worst of all, my antics kept TJ from asking Adam any of the questions he had. I feel so bad.

E- I'm sure TJ was fine with it. It's not like he won't get another chance. Hey, I have to get ready for work. Let me know how tonights show goes. Love you.

J- Love you too!

***end texting***

"Time to get up, I guess" Jenika said to herself.

When she and TJ were done eating Jenika cleaned up the kitchen. "Time to hit the road little man. Are you ready to go?" Jenika asked.

The next stop on their road trip was about 5hrs away. TJ decided on a book to read while Jenika jumped in the drivers seat and headed out.

Five hours, a stop for lunch, and a bathroom break later they pulled up to the venue a few hours before the concert was supposed to start. It was much easier for Jenika to park when they got their early. She would have to remember that.

Jenika had noticed a park across the street and knew TJ could use some activity after being cooped up for the last few hours. Jenika and TJ crossed the street hand in hand but as soon as their feet hit the grass TJ took off yelling "I bet you can't catch me." He stuck his tongue out at Jenika and ran faster.

Jenika was never one to turn down a challenge and took off after her son. She caught up to him about halfway through the park. She grabbed him around the waist and swung him around, making him giggle. They were the only ones in the small park so they ran, played, and laughed without caring how loud they were. They were having so much fun they didn't realize they were being watched...

"TJ, c'mon. Time to go." Jenika yelled "We have to eat dinner and get ready for the concert".

Jenika cleaned up the kitchen after dinner while TJ put on some clean clothes. He couldn't wear these ones now that he got them dirty in the park.

Jenika made TJ skip the merchandise table this time. "We can't buy something every time. There needs to be room for us in the RV too." Jenika said to TJ as she squeezed his hand and headed into the auditorium. They soon found themselves in their seats waiting for the show to start. Jenika pulled out her phone and let Ericha know that she would be taking pictures tonight and to prepare for her phone to blow up.

At intermission, Jenika sent Ericha a few pictures as a teaser of what was to come later. Jenika realized that if she wanted to get high quality pics of the guys she was going to have get a real camera. Taking pics with her phone just wasn't cutting it.

They guys were getting ready to pick the winner that would get to meet them backstage so Jenika was taking advantage of them standing still to try for some nonblurry pics. She was concentrating so hard on holding still that she didn't even realize they had said her name as the winner.

"Where are you Jenika Marion?" Tim asked.

"Maybe she left! Was the first half that bad?" Austin pouted and the crowd laughed.

TJ was pulling her out of her seat and forcing her to stand up while waving his hands to get the guys attention.

"Look there she is!" Tim said as he shielded his eyes from the lights to get a better look at who was standing up. Once his eyes were able to focus on her he instantly recognized her from last night. Tim whipped his head around to look at Adam who just smiled sweetly and shrugged his shoulders.

Jenika couldn't believe her luck. She had completely embarrassed herself in front of these guys last night and now she had to try and act normal in a personal conversation with them? Normally, she would be so excited but after yesterday she just wanted to fade into the background for awhile.

The rest of the show passed quickly and soon she and TJ were in front of the stage waiting for Olena to come get them. TJ couldn't stand still, he was so excited.

As Olena led them backstage TJ was looking around at everything. His eyes were darting everywhere trying to take it all in. Once he finally spotted the guys his nerves kicked in again.

Adam was the first to greet the duo. He fist bumped TJ and then pulled Jenika into a hug. Jenika was a little shocked but hugged him back. Adam released her from the hug and realized his band mates were looking at him like he was crazy. Tim, in particular, almost looked upset.

Each of the guys took turns fist bumping or high fiving TJ but only shook hands with Jenika. They posed for a few pics and Jenika knew Ericha was going to be so jealous. TJ was just getting ready to ask Adam a question when their manager, Luke, said it was time to head out to the signing line.

They all said goodbye but just as Jenika turned to leave she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Adam. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "If you aren't in a hurry could you hang around for a bit? I'd like to talk to you and TJ but I have to go right now. I'll let Luke know to make you guys comfortable. Thanks"

Jenika stood there in shock not knowing what to do. She looked down into the big eyes of her son and knew her decision had been made. TJ really wanted to talk to Adam, so they would stay.

Luke led Jenika and TJ to a room backstage that had couches, a tv, snacks and drinks. He told them they could wait here and make themselves at home until the guys got back. Jenika thanked him, sat down, and pulled out her phone to send Ericha more pictures. TJ occupied himself by walking around and looking at all the names that had been written on the walls. It seemed that everyone who performed here signed the wall.

Jenika had no idea how long it had been but she finally heard voices coming from down the hall. Rob, Austin, and Chance walked in the room at the same time and stopped in their tracks when they saw her sitting there. "Uh, Hi." They said. Jenika stood and was about to explain that Adam had asked her stay and that Luke had put her here when Tim walked in, saw her standing there, turned around, and walked back out. "Wow, I guess I didn't make a good first impression last night." Jenika thought.

As Tim walked out of the room he grabbed Adam by the arm and drug him into one of the dressing rooms. They needed to talk. "Adam what is up with you? First you practically beg us to let you pic the winner tonight; second you just happen to pick her, the same girl from last night; third you hugged her like you've known her forever; and finally you ask her to stay after the show. Am I forgetting anything?" Tim spit out.

"I was watching them at the park today too. You forgot that." Adam said with a smile.

"Alright smartass. I'm being serious here. What's gotten into you? You never act like this. You're the quiet one remember." Tim said with a concerned look on his face.

Adam ran his hands through his long blond hair, bit his lip and then finally said "I don't know. There is just something about her and that little boy that makes me want to know more about them. Now can we go before the other guys scare her away?"

Tim and Adam entered the room to find Jenika laughing again. Austin and Chance were laughing too and Rob was looking embarrassed so they must have been telling her a story. Tim looked around at Adam to see him glowing while looking at Jenika. Tim greeted her and then excused himself quickly.

"Wonder what's gotten into him?" Austin asked.

"He's been weird since just after intermission. I wonder if something happened during the break?" Chance added.

"Let's go talk to him." Rob said as he stood up to go find Tim. "It was nice to see you again Jenika. Stay cool TJ."

Adam and Jenika had a short talk. She told him that she had been listening to them since she saw them on the Sing Off but this was first time she'd gotten to a concert. TJ was finally able to grill Adam about his beatboxing and how to get started. Adam thought it was cute that TJ was determined to be a beatboxing bass singer when he grew up. He'd have to remember to tell Tim about that. He would definitely wait until Tim was in a better mood though. He had to agree with the other guys, Tim was acting weird tonight.

Meanwhile in the other room

"Tim. Dude what's up? I've never seen you be rude to a fan like that." Austin said. Rob and Chance nodded their heads in agreement.

"I'm sorry guys. I have nothing against Jenika. I'm worried about Adam. I've never seen him act like that before. Aren't you guys worried about him? I'm never rude to fans but Adam has never been so accommodating either. Maybe you need to find out what's up with him." Tim said with a huff and walked out.

"What the hell was that?" Austin asked Rob and Chance. "Those two have been best friends forever. What happened in the last few hours to make them act so cold to each other?"

Rob and Chance looked at each other and said "Jenika."

"Tim and Adam usually hang out together after shows. Could Tim be jealous?" Rob added.

Chance thought for a minute then "I would think he would be happy for him. Neither of them has been in a relationship for years. He should be happy that Adam might finally be interested in someone."

"Well, I'm happy for him. Maybe he'll finally start getting some on the regular. That would make one less grump we have to deal with." Austin laughed. "Now all we gotta do is find Tim a woman and we can all be happy."

Tim had headed back to the other room to apologize to Jenika. He found Adam on the couch chatting with TJ and Jenika was across the room on her phone.

Tim approached cautiously and waited for her to notice him before speaking. "Jenika, I want to apologize for being rude earlier. I don't know what came over me. It won't happen again. I'm sorry." Tim reached out to shake her hand and she pushed it away.

Tim was stunned and about to back away when Jenika stood up and grabbed him in a hug. "Thank you for the apology. I accept, as long you promise not to act like that again."

"I promise" Tim said.

Adam had been watching from across the room and was so glad that his best friend and his new friend were finally getting along.

Jenika let go of Tim and walked over to Adam. She pulled him into a hug and whispered into his ear "Thank you for giving TJ so much of your time. I know it meant the world to him." She kissed Adam on the cheek as she pulled away from him.

All Adam could do was blush and look at this feet while he said "Your welcome."

"I know we would both love to stay and talk more but I'm sure you guys are tired and I know we are. It's been a long two days and we need to head to our campground for the night." Jenika said before thanking Adam again for his kindness.

TJ waved at Adam and Tim and said "See you soon" before following his mom out the door.

Wow- that was a long one.
