NINETY ONE
Jenika sat down across from Tim and waited for him to start talking. After a few minutes of silence she finally spoke, "Tim, you said you wanted to talk..."
Tim sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, "Why?"
Jenika's shoulders slumped as she looked down at her lap. "Truthfully, I guess I really I didn't think. I didn't think about how it would affect you. I saw a chance to have fun and couldn't pass up the opportunity. I was being selfish."
"Couldn't pass up the opportunity?" Tim asked. "Did Adam offer me to you?" Tim tried to keep his emotions under control but anger flashed in his eyes as he spoke.
"Oh my God, NO!" Jenika gasped. "Absolutely not."
"Why don't you tell me exactly what happened then" Tim said without any emotion.
Jenika sighed as she looked at Tim and started her story, "You remember that Ericha and I went out while you and Adam talked about you storming out of the room." (Tim nodded his head) "He and I talked the next morning. I was worried about you. He explained about you needing punished because you broke a rule. He didn't go into detail but said that I needed to know what was going on because your mood may change. He explained about not letting you finish but didn't go into detail. I have no idea what went on between you two that night." Jenika paused.
"Go on" Tim said quietly.
"I saw him in the kitchen again the next morning and asked how it went." Jenika looked directly at the brunette, "Tim, he gushed over you. He said you were perfect; that you were either a quick learner or a natural submissive. Either way, he seemed pleased with how things went."
Jenika looked back down at her hands. "I asked him if I could have you that night."
Tim didn't say anything. He wasn't going to help Jenika. He wanted to see her uncomfortable, having to explain her actions.
"He said yes," Jenika said quietly, "But he quickly made me promise to be gentle with you. He said he didn't want you to break punishment. Tim, he was adamant that I not push you too hard."
"Why did you argue with me that night?" Tim asked. "When I tried to tell you that it was just about you... You tried to argue with me."
"If I had just given in and said okay without any type of fight would you have been suspicious?" Jenika asked with a slight smirk.
"Yeah, I guess so" Tim admitted.
"And can I say that there was no intention to lie or hide anything" Jenika added. "It's not like we sat there and plotted and said 'don't tell Tim'." The blond shrugged her shoulders, "I know that doesn't make you feel better but I'd like to call this deception by omission instead of premeditated lying."
Tim cracked a small smile at Jenika's choice of words, "Deception by omission is still against the rules."
"I know and I'm sorry" Jenika frowned as she spoke. "Sorry, for taking advantage of the situation, for not thinking, for being selfish, and for breaking the rules." Jenika looked down at her lap and then back up at Tim, "Do you think you can forgive me at some point?"
"You're forgiven" Tim said as he pulled her into a hug. "You know, I'm so irresistible I can't really blame you."
Jenika smacked him on the arm. "Timothy," she laughed "what am I going to do with you?"
Tim pulled back from the hug, "Give me time to talk to Adam. Then we'll all sit down and talk together. Then give me some time to get to the second half of the phrase 'forgive and forget'."
"I can do that" Jenika smiled. She lay a hand on Tim's arm, "I'm not trying to rush you but you need to talk to him soon. He needs to know that you're okay. He's seriously beating himself up and thinks you hate him."
Tim was about to stand when Jenika started to speak again. "Please, don't be too hard on him" she begged. "You're his everything. I honestly don't think he could live without you."
"Jen, what?" Tim whispered. "He's got both of us."
"Tim, I'm not blind or stupid" Jenika said quietly as a sadness washed over her. "You mean more to him than I ever will."
"No, Jen" Tim tried to comfort her as he pulled her into a hug.
"Yes, Tim" she retorted. "I love him and I know he loves me and he treats me well but if he was forced to choose, and there were no children in the equation, he would pick you." Jenika pulled back and looked directly at Tim, "I'm okay with it. I really am. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. We don't share his heart equally but the love I get from one quarter of his heart is more than I'd get from one hundred percent of anyone else's."
Tim had no idea what to say. Jenika watched as sadness, fear, and confusion flashed across the brunettes face. She took his hands in hers, "I didn't say all this in attempt to change anything between all of us. I just want you to know how much you mean to him. I know he screwed up but it wasn't intentional or done with any degree of malice. Please be gentle."
Jenika released Tim's hands as she stood. "I'm going to bed. Talk to him." She crawled into her bunk and replayed the conversation in her head. She fell asleep with a smile on her face; she really was okay with their situation.
"Where's Adam?" Tim asked as he looked around the front lounge and didn't see the blond anywhere.
"We put him to bed" Chance said as he motioned towards Rob. "I think his pain pills finally kicked in and he passed out."
"He tried to fight it" Rob chimed in, "but the lack of sleep combined with the narcotic eventually won and he couldn't even hold his head up anymore."
"We practically had to drag him to his bunk" Chance laughed. "We got his shirt off but he's sleeping in his jeans tonight." Chance winked at Tim, "Not my place to take those off."
Tim hid his smile as he turned and headed for Adam's bunk. He sat down in the hallway and pushed the curtains apart. He watched his boyfriend sleep, for what seemed like hours, while he thought over recent events and what exactly he wanted to say...
