Jenika woke up later than normal feeling a little disoriented. She had been so tired when she finally got to bed last night that her brain hadn't been able to process everything that had happened. She sat in bed for a few minutes so she could finally go over the craziness that was yesterday. Did she really not only meet and take pictures with guys but hang out with them after the show too? She still can't believe that actually happened.

Jenika looked at her phone and saw she had a few missed texts from Ericha.

E- I thought you said to expect pictures.

E- Hello? Show should have been over awhile ago. Pictures?

E- Jenika? Are you okay? Answer me please. You're scaring me.

With all that happened last night Jenika completely forgot to send the pics to Ericha. She had meant to last night while waiting for Adam to finish with the signing line but she ended up just going through the pics and deleting the bad ones. She had to call Ericha and apologize.

Erichas phone went to voicemail so Jenika left a brief message letting her friend know she wasn't dead and to call her soon. Jenika got a text almost immediately.

E- I'm in a class ALL DAY! Can't talk on the phone but I can text. What happened last night? It's like you completely disappeared for hours.

J- Long story. I'll try to shorten it. Got picked to meet the guys backstage. 10 mins to chat and get pics. They had to leave for signing line.

E- OMG! You got to go backstage. So jealous!

J- Calm down. I'm not done.

E- Holy shit! There's more?

J- Before he left Adam asked if I would wait until the signing line was done because he wanted to talk to me. Their manager took TJ and I to a private room where we hung out until they got back. Then spent the next hour just relaxing and talking to the guys.

J- There is more detail but that is the condensed version.

E- I just squealed in the middle of class. I need this whole story when you get home.

J- Of course. Enjoy your class.

E- I still need pics! I'll harass you. You know I will.

Jenika rolled her eyes and found a couple of the better pics to send to Ericha. She made sure to include one of the pics of her and TJ with the guys.

There was no show tonight so Jenika decided they would spend the day just hanging out and relaxing. She was just about to get out of bed when her phone buzzed with a new text message. She figured it was Ericha responding about the pictures but it was a number she didn't recognize.

Unknown- Are you still in town?

J- UH, who is this?

Unknown- Sorry, this is Adam. I probably should have lead with that. That first message looks a little creepy now doesn't it. Sorry.

J- You had me little freaked out for a second. Yes, we are still in town.

A- Do you have any plans today?

J- No plans, I was just thinking that we would have a lazy day today.

A- Could I join your lazy day? We didn't get enough time to talk last night.

J- Why not? You could probably use a lazy day too. We're just going to hang out here at the campground. I'm sure we can talk while TJ plays at the park.

Jenika sent Adam the address of the campground and the lot number they were parked in and then went to make sure TJ was up and moving.

Thirty minutes later there was a soft knock on the RV door. She looked out the window in her "bedroom" and saw that it was Adam. "TJ can you answer the door please? I'll be out in a second." Jenika yelled. She hadn't told TJ that Adam was coming over. She wished she could see his face when he answers the door but she couldn't go out there half naked. She needed to finish getting dressed.

"Mom" TJ yelled, "Adam is here." Jenika was finally ready and made it out of the bedroom, "I know sweetheart. He told me he was coming."

"And you didn't tell me? Well, how do you like that? I could have had a heart attack when I opened the door." TJ said dramatically.

Jenika and Adam both laughed out loud at TJ being so theatrical. "I love that kid but he's going to be the death of me" Jenika said quietly to Adam.

Jenika locked up the RV and the trio headed to the park. TJ took off to the playground while Adam and Jenika found a shaded bench that still gave them a good view of TJ.

They sat for awhile just enjoying the breeze and the silence until Adam finally spoke, "I know we've only known each other for less than 48hrs but I think we could be great friends so I want to be totally honest with you. You can be mad at me later, if you want, but can you promise that no matter what I say you won't get mad at TJ? And please let me finish before you start asking questions."

Jenika couldn't imagine what Adam might say that would get her mad at TJ but she agreed to his conditions so she could find out.

"I first noticed you two nights ago when you were walking TJ across the room and started laughing really loudly. You seemed so carefree. Then I saw you again in the signing line and you both looked so nervous. Then you got started laughing again and it was the best thing I had seen all night. I talked to TJ while I was watching you laugh. He told me that he hoped we didn't have anywhere to go because it might be awhile before you could get yourself together. I told him we had all night if you needed it and he said that you might because you hadn't laughed in a long time and had been sad since your parents were killed in a car accident.

(Jenika opened her mouth to speak but Adam held up his hand to stop her)

Then, I don't know what Tim said to you but the laughter and even your smile were gone in an instant. All I wanted was to see you smile again. I didn't get a chance that night but then I saw you at the park across from the show last night and was hoping I would finally get my chance. I picked your name to come backstage. That wasn't random. I just wanted to talk to you again and then I spent most of the night with TJ. Not, that I minded. He's a great kid, smart as hell. But I still hadn't gotten a chance to really talk to you. I asked if TJ knew your cell number and with a little prodding I got it out of him. That lead to the texts this morning and now you are all caught up."

Jenika just sat there for awhile not knowing what to say. Adam was starting to get seriously nervous about her reaction when she grabbed him and hugged him hard. Jenika buried her face in his neck and let her tears fall. Adam just held her and let her cry.

Jenika finally pulled away after kissing Adam on the cheek. Adam dropped his head to hide his reddening cheeks. "Hey, look at me" Jenika said as she lifted his chin. "I like to see you blush the same way you like to see me laugh."

"This could make for an interesting friendship then. That is if you aren't mad at me for luring you backstage under false pretenses." Adam said as he smiled at Jenika.

"How could I be mad at you for trying to make me happy. You barely know me, yet you went out of your way to try to help me. I can't be mad at you for that." Jenika said and then added "But I might want to smack you for the sneaky way you got my number."

"I wasn't sure if you would give it to me so I went the stealth route." Adam chuckled.

"Yeah, you know. Because why would I want the hot beatboxer from favorite group to have my number. That's just crazy." Jenika said sarcastically as she smacked Adam on the arm. Jenika watched Adams cheeks redden again and realized that she had just called him hot right to his face. Now it was time for Jenikas cheeks to redden.

Adam decided to mess with her for minute. "You really think I'm hot?" he said while waggling his eyebrows at her.

Jenika knew he was just trying to get her to blush more and decided that two could play this game. "Oh yeah, definitely." She said, then leaned closer and whispered seductively "And crazy talented with your mouth too." She watched Adam get redder than she had ever seen anyone before then leaned back on the bench and laughed like she'd lost her mind.

Adam decided right then that this girl needed to stick around. She would fit right in with their little group. Now how could he convince her and the guys?

They had been at the park for hours watching TJ play, playing with TJ and just getting to know each other better when Jenika realized that they should probably get on the road if she wanted to get to tomorrows venue early again.

"Hey, Adam. Do you need a ride back to your bus? I was thinking TJ and I would have to leave soon to get some driving done tonight." Jenika said. "I don't have someone to drive all night for me."

"Uhm....actually... uhhh" Adam sputtered as he twisted his hands nervously. "The bus has already left. They were leaving when I headed over here. I told them I would find my own way there. Rent a car or something."

"Seriously?" Jenika asked. "You missed your ride just to come talk to me?" Adam nodded and shrugged his shoulders as an answer.

"You are not renting a car. You can ride with us. We are headed the same place. No reason not to ride together." Jenika stated matter-of-factly. She wouldn't take no for an answer.

Jenika called for TJ and let him know that Adam would be riding with them to the next city. TJ was so excited to have someone to talk to while his mom drove.
