Chapter 3
Warning: mentions of nudity
Jack, Rapunzel, Merida, and Hiccup all gathered in Jack's Police car and headed towards San Francisco where Rosie's phone was.
"Why San Fransisco?" Hiccup asked.
"Because Aunt Emma lives there," Jack replied "They're probably heading to her place. I tried calling her but she's not answering her phone."
"Jack that's what they want us to think," Merida said. "And why did I have to sit in the back seat, we have no idea what and who this car has held."
"Oh calm down you're the worst out of all of them." Jack joked, "you can handle it."
Merida flicked Jack on the ear. He yelled in annoyance "I'm trying to drive here Mer."
"As I was saying they aren't staying with Emma." Merida said.
"Oh I know my son and he loves going to Aunt Emma's. She has tons of pets and she always gives them everything they want." Jack explained.
"Well I know my son and he wouldn't be going to Emma's because he has a cat allergy." Merida said.
"Dammit she's right." Jack said hitting the steering wheel.
"I always am." Merida said,
"Alright Miss Know-it -all why would they go to San Fransisco?"
"The Golden Gate Bridge." Rapunzel said. "It's Flynn's favorite place in the city."
"Well I guess we know where we're going first." Hiccup said.
"Yup just six more hours." Jack said.
They all groaned in annoyance.
Meanwhile.....
"Here it is! The best part of the city!" Flynn said. They had gone on the Golden Gate Bridge. It's color was a rusty red as cars whizzed pass them. The bay was calm and the fog was thick and for summer the air was cold.
"I I'm freezing." Rosalie stuttered,
"Well that's what you get for wearing shorts in San Francisco." Flynn said.
Rosie frowned and shivered as she rubbed her arms, trying to make herself warm. Peder looked over and sighed. It wasn't her fault that Hallie didn't bring a jacket. It was summer. They weren't expecting to need a jacket. But Peder had still brought his dark red hoodie.
"Fine but you better not lose this or I'll be really pissed okay?" Peder said handing his hoodie to Rosie.
"Thank you Peder!" She said taking the hoodie and putting it on and zipping it all the way up,
"You're such a softie," Hallie jabbed her brother,
"Oh grow up." Peder replied.
"Guys are you not seeing this look at this place! You can see boats down there," Flynn said excitedly,
"Flynn will you take me on a sailboat?" Rosie asked.
"Of course! I'm planning on living on one someday, having a boathouse traveling around the Pacific." Flynn replied.
Hallie and Peder chuckled. Flynn was always talking about wanting his boathouse. Even though he had never been on a boat before.
"Hey I got an idea. Why don't we go on the ferry?" Hallie asked.
"Can we? Please Peder can we?" Flynn asked his friend.
"Sure why not? You got to see if you like being on a boat before you decide to live on one." Peder said.
The ferry was a boat that traveled from the bay to other cities on the bay such as Sausalito and Larkspur.
"When does the next ferry leave?" Hallie asked,
"Well the ferry comes every hour and it's 1:03pm" Flynn said checking his wristwatch, "so we'll have to wait another hour."
"Hey have you ever been there?" Hallie asked pointing at a nearby beach.
Flynn looked over. "No mom and dad never took us over there. Want to go? We have time to kill." Flynn said.
"Sure why not?" Hallie said.
They walked back to the trail which lead to the beach. It was beautiful. With big black rocks on one side. Crawling with barnacles and wet sand. The water was so blue and the sky was its same charming grey.
Hallie took her camera out of her backpack and took a few pictures of the waves.
"This is pretty cool." Peder had to admit.
"Yeah I don't know why my parents never took us here it's amazing!" Flynn exclaimed.
"Uh guys.....I hate to ruin the fun but I think I know why we've never been before." Hallie said covering her eyes.
"Why what's the matter?" Peder asked his sister.
"There is a bunch of naked guys over there," Hallie laughed.
They looked over and saw there was in fact a bunch of naked guys having a barbecue. No clothes or bathing suits were to be seen.
"We're on a nudist beach! Quick cover your eyes Rosie!" Flynn yelled covering his sisters eyes before she had a chance to turn around.
"Hallie are you taking pictures?" Peder yelled.
"Oh come on no one will believe us if we don't have proof." Hallie said.
"No one is going to find out we were here come on let's head back," Flynn said. He began walking still having his hands over his sister's eyes.
"I'm fourteen Flynn I've been in health class before." Rosie said.
"Trust me you'll thank me someday." Flynn said.
Authors note: okay so this is actually based on a true story. Every New Year's Day my friends and I go to a beach and two years ago we went to a beach in San Francisco and it turned out to be a nudist beach. It was the funniest thing ever so I thought I would add it to the story. Hoped you all liked it! Comment and vote!
