Jack woke up to the sound of a fist pounding on his front door. It was Saturday, his day off, so he knew it wasn't his detective partner Thiana. It could only mean one thing....Merida. His best friend Merida was the only person he could think of who would be knocking at his door on his day off and by the nature of her knock he knew she must be unhappy.

He rolled over in his bed and tapped his wife's shoulder.

"She was your friend first." He told her.

"It's Saturday though." Rapunzel complained.

"I know, but you have the whole summer off." Jack said. " It's only fair."

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"She's only going to get louder isn't she?" Rapunzel asked.

She huffed and got out from the bed and put on her purple robe and slippers. Jack was right she did have the whole summer off, but school had just ended yesterday, she was expecting her first morning to be peaceful.

She went to the front door and opened it and there, as expected, was Merida. Besides her there was her husband Hiccup. Strangely they were both in their pajamas.

"They're gone." Merida said letting herself into Rapunzel's home.

"Who's gone?" Rapunzel asked.

"The kids. Peder and Hallie. They left us a note saying they were going on a road trip with Flynn and now most of their clothes and belongings are gone." Hiccup said.

"I swear when we get them back they are going to be grounded for life." Merida shouted.

"Flynn's gone too?" Rapunzel asked. "What about Rosie?"

"The letter didn't say anything about Rosie." Merida said.

Rapunzel ran upstairs to her daughter's room calling her name. She walked into her daughter's room. Nothing seemed to be packed up or missing except Rosalie.

"Jack! They're gone!" She yelled.

"Who's gone?" Jack asked coming into Rosalie's room.

"The kids. Peder, Hallie, Flynn, and Rosalie. They went on the road trip." She said.

"You guys might want to come back down here." Hiccup yelled.

The couple went back downstairs to where their friends were. Hiccup was holding a piece of yellow paper.

"Looks like Flynn left you a note too." Hiccup said.

Rapunzel and Jack scanned the note.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I have gone on the road trip with Peder and Hallie. I need to do this, it will be a life experience. You two always talked about your adventures and you were only one or two years older than me, Peder has a plan, we will be safe and I'll call you when I can, it will be from a burner so Dad can't trace the call. I'm sorry and I love you both, but I had to do this for me. We should be back mid-July or early August.

P.S. Rosie blackmailed me and made me take her with us. Sorry it was not part of the plan. I'll make sure she doesn't get in trouble.

"Rosalie's only fourteen Jack! Fourteen! When we went on our road trip we went to some pretty shady places, Rosie isn't old enough for this." Rapunzel cried.

"Hey it's okay. Flynn will take care of her. While I'll take care of Flynn." Jack reassured her. "Alright so I'm guessing they left around midnight last night."

"Did they take the bus?" Hiccup asked. "Because Hallie and Peder don't have a car....so it's either the bus or your..."

"No he did not take the..." Jack ran outside and looked in his driveway. The silver van was gone.

"He took the car!" Jack yelled. "When I get my hands on that boy he is not leaving this house until he's older than that car."

"Can't you get the license plate checked?" Merida asked.

"I could but knowing my son." Jack said going towards the bushes. he pulled out the license plate that had been placed there by Flynn the night before. He looked up and saw his son's Star Wars bed sheets hanging from his window.

"I thought Flynn was going to take after Rapunzel but of course he had to have your mindset." Merida complained.

"Calm down, Flynn has probably turned off his phone. Have you tried calling Peder or Hallie's?" Jack asked.

"Yes, they were both turned off." Hiccup said.

"Well lucky for us I have a teenage girl who never leaves the house without her phone." Jack said. "We can track Rosie's phone, since she wasn't part of the trip she wouldn't know to turn her phone off, plus she has to check instagram almost every second of the day."

"I have to say Jack you're a genius." Hiccup said to his friend. "Now let's get our kids back."

Meanwhile.........

"I'm hungry." Rosalie complained.

"Should've thought of that before you got in the car." Flynn said.
The four were now in San Fransisco where Flynn and Rosalie's aunt Emma lived. Before leaving they went to Flynn's work at the mechanic repair shop and he placed a new license plate onto the car and they drove the rest of the way to San Fransisco.

"Are we at Aunt Emma's yet?" She asked.

"We're not going to Emma's." Peder said.

"What? Why not?" Rosalie asked.

"That's what our parents are expecting. So we're spending the night at a hotel." Peder replied.

"Can we at least go to a drive thru or something?"

"There is no drive thru its San Francisco there is barely anywhere to park." Flynn said.

"Just wait till we get to the hotel." Hallie said.

They drove to the inner part of the city and pulled into a Best Western. Flynn payed the woman at the front desk with cash.

"Alright let's get dressed and ready and check out San Fransisco," Flynn said.

"I don't have any other clothes." Rosalie complained.

"You didn't bring anything with you!" Flynn yelled.

"I didn't think you would let me come!" Rosalie yelled back.

"God she can borrow some of my clothes it's fine!" Hallie yelled. "Anything to make you two stop arguing."

"Thank you Hallie." Rosalie said.

"Yeah yeah whatever." Hallie said. Hallie gave her a flannel and some shorts both were a little big for Rosalie but she used one of Flynn's belts to keep her pants up.

"Oh dear god you turned my sister into a little lumberjack." Flynn said.

"I do not!" Rosalie retorted

"I give your little sister clothes and you dare to comment on my sense of style?" Hallie raised an eyebrow at her friend.

"Oh no of course not I like the clothes are you sure they aren't Peder's though?" Flynn asked.

"Says the guy who has Star Wars bed sheets." Hallie replied.

"It was laundry day." Flynn glared.

"Sure it was." Hallie smiled.

"Can we go please?" Peder asked.

"Okay first stop Golden Gate Bridge." Flynn said.
