Author's Note: Well this is three years late but here we go. Warning language.

Hallie collected the bolts of the flat tire into the the hubcap. Her father had always taught her to keep them in there until it was time to put them back on so she wouldn't lose them. She placed the spare into the missing gap while keeping the bolts clasped in her other hand.

"Hey want to give me a hand here?" she called out, 

"I thought you said you knew how to change a tire," Flynn said

"Listen asshole I need someone to hold these bolts so I can get the hubcap on," 

Flynn rolled his eyes and got off from the trunk of the car, he had been glaring at Peder. Hallie couldn't be right. Peder would never go after Rosie like that? She was off limits, that's the code. But Flynn couldn't help but feel a pit in his stomach that told him Hallie was right. 

Flynn held out his hand for the bolts and Hallie began to crank them in one by one following the star pattern of the hubcap. 

"You were just trying to get to me right, you don't think he actually likes her?" Flynn asked, 

"What?" 

"Peder and Rose," 

Hallie wiped the sweat from her brow, "Flynn we have some bigger problems than our siblings love lives," 

"Love life!" Flynn yelled, "She's only -" Flynn brought his voice down so only Hallie could hear, "She's only fourteen," 

"She turns fifteen in a month and Peder and I turned 16 last month. It's not a big age gap. It's a year and two months difference. Rosie starts high school with us, Flynn get used to it," 

"No it can't happen, it'll ruin our whole dynamic, what if they break up?" 

"You're getting way too far ahead of yourself, Peder doesn't ask girl's out, there's a chance it'll never even happen," 

Flynn smiled, "You're right. Oh my god you're right. Peder never asks first!" 

"Yeah see nothing to worry about...unless of course Rosie asks," 

"Shut up," 

"You got the tire fixed Hal?" Peder asked walking up to the pair. 

"Yeah if Flynn will stop whining and hand me the last bolt," 

Flynn handed her the last bolt. "Where'd Rosie go?" 

He turned to see she was already on the other side of the car waiting for the door to be unlocked. She didn't look at her brother or anyone for that matter. She stared blankly at the door handle until she heard the click from Flynn pressing the button of his keys. 

She got in the back seat without a word and slammed the door. 

"You're in trouble," Hallie laughed. 

"Yeah she hates your guts right now," Peder said to Flynn. 

"That's enough from you, tire popper," Flynn said. He looked at his sister, her hair covering her face. 

"Shit, I'll talk to her," Flynn said. 

He walked around the car and tapped the window closest to Rosalie. She turned away in response. 

"Oh come on Rose, I'm sorry I yelled. I just- we've been planning this for a long time and we thought we had everything figured out. But things are just not going like I thought they would. That's not your fault, I just wasn't expecting all this happening. Or especially mom and dad following us," 

Rose responded with silence. 

"Rose, come on I don't want to have you be pissed at me this whole trip..." 

"Pst!" Hallie grabbed Flynn's attention. "Tell her your glad she came on this trip," 

"i'm glad you came with us on this trip," he told Rose, "Okay to be real though I was not happy at first but having you around has actually been alright, it makes me a little less homesick," 

Hallie rolled her eyes in defeat, but Rosalie seemed to be responsive. 

"You can be a real idiot you know that?" Rose finally spoke. 

"I know, it runs in the family," Flynn smiled, "Alright I'm driving let's head out of this heat wave filled state," 

"hey what about the grand canyon?" Peder askedd, 

"Do we have to?" Flynn asked, 

"We got to ride not the ferry," Peder replied, 

"Ugh fine. Grand Canyon here we come," Flynn said. 

Meanwhile....

"It says they are somewhere in Arizona," Rapunzel announced, 

"Aw man it's too hot for Arizona, please tell me they'll just pass on through," Jack replied,

"No luck, Peder wants to see the Grand Canyon," Merida said, "We were going to take him there for Christmas this year so that way it wouldn't be so damn hot," 

"Wait I have a plan that will not include us going to the Grand Canyon," Rapunzel said. "Why don't we drive through into the next state? That way when they move on we will already have beaten them there," 

"This is why I married you," Jack smiled proudly at his wife. 

"How do we know where they will go next?" Merida asked,

"Well we've been right about most places, think what state would they want to go to and why?" Hiccup said. 

"Well it's either Utah or New Mexico," Merida said.

"Oh they'll go to New Mexico, there is nothing they could want in Utah," Jack said. 

"What will they want in New Mexico?" Merida asked, 

"Art festivals. Rose will beg to go, that's are best bet." 

"As long as it keeps us away from that hot canyon, i'm perfectly fine with that," Merida replied
